48 hours before the Park Meeting
A black and silver Mercedes Benz S500 rolls up in front of one of many high class clubs in the district controlled by the Teslas. Almost immediately it's swarmed by paparazzi and reporters. As the driver, a young dusky skinned man puts his fedora on, straightens his suit jacket then steps out. Smiling and waving as flash bulbs burst around him, taking pictures of one of the young faces of the famous Tesla Gang. The light grey and silver three piece suit looks good on the young mans form.
He comes around the front of the car and opens the door allowing the incredibly gorgeous woman in the passenger seat out. She takes his outstretched hand and he shuts the door then hands the keys to car over to the valet who pushes through the crowd to get to them. The reporters and paparazzi follow the couple to the door, shouting questions to Chance Cooper, the golden Playboy of the Teslas. Chance only smiles and shakes his head, responding that he'll answer questions later in the night after he's unwound a little. Running some of the most successful businesses in the clean district of New York is tough work after all.
The cameras and reporters are stopped at the door as two very large and obviously packing bouncers, wearing the Tesla Gang pin stop them yet allow the pair to enter into the club. Inside, very few people who aren't already Teslas themselves are allowed in. And if they aren't already wearing a Tesla pin, they have been invited in by a Tesla who is there. Just another way to get pulled down by those invisible claws they gang has. Chance and his current girlfriend blend into the masses...
30 hours before the Park Meeting
Chance would be pulling up to the doors of a towering building somewhere in the center of the Tesla controlled district. Flashing an ID badge he goes on inside and up a glass elevator that gives a decent look over almost the entire city. All the way around almost, showing the glitzy gleaming area that the Tesla Gang watches over, where people can walk safe knowing that the high-tech Teslas watch the borders of the district like hawks with guns, and other weapons, ready to fend off the corruption of the Beasts or the leech of the Toxins.
Soon the door to the elevator opens into a large office area. Ten doors lead off the main area while ten desks with ten secretaries the first line between the patriarchs type away at their work. They all look up at Chance at some point to smile in greeting, Chance knows all of them by name, having been here longer then almost all of them.
He gives a wave to Rebecca Valane, Philip Coopers secretary as she passes by and enters the code to enter his fathers offices. Closing and locking the door behind him once he's inside. Philip Cooper looks over at him from the window overlooking the Toxin controlled area of the city, and speaking on his bluetooth. Chance stops in front of the desk and waits. Philip continues his conversation, "Yessir, yes...there was an attempt last night. Yes John I know. Yes, we contained it. A small group of the Beasts. Yes....yes...yes we liquidated them as is standard procedure. Yes...nine in all John...okay...yes....yes the bodies of some of them are being brought to the labs at site nine. The techs will look at them for us...yep...yes...uh huh...okay. I'll have Chance look at it...yep...okay...have a good meeting with the Skye Group...yep...make a good deal John...okay...talk to you later."
Chance nodded to his father as Philip turned to him. Chance started, "How's Uncle Banks? Think he'll get the Skye Group to sell?" Philip nods, "Course he will. John always gets what he wants. And if he doesn't there are other ways. So tell me son, what happened last night?" Chance sighs and heads over to a side table and pours himself a vodka and ice, "The Press wants us to 'fess up on some of our more recent buy outs. And what we are doing with the land. I can't keep telling them that we'll tell them later Dad. Sooner or later they will press for something and they are going to get it. Maybe not from me. Maybe from Richard on the Southside, or Donny on the East, you know how easy they flap their lips." Philip nods, "Don't worry about it for now." He slides a Blackberry over to his son, "Here take that. Check the calendar, that's your schedule for the next little while. John set something up with the other gang leaders. We're going to be there. Five of the Patriarchs, and about twenty of our best people. I want you there and leading it son. John asked this himself okay?"
Chance nodded as he takes it, looking the calendar over. "I'll get right on this Dad." Philip nods then takes another call. Chance seeing himself out.
24 hours before the Park Meeting
Chance stood in front of twenty Tesla units. Hand picked by Chance over the last few hours. Hours in which he hadn't taken a break in except to eat. Everyman had been brought up to speed on what they needed to know and at the moment were checking their equipment and requisitioning anything else they thought they would need.
Chance called them all together, "Alright, remember our job is the protection of the Patriarchs and Mr. Banks. If things go to shit, they are priority one. We get them to the egress trucks and get them the hell out of their. The armor you are going to be given is all prototype grade. With a shock bomb in the chest plate. If you go down, you activate that thing and try and take as many with you. Understand?"
As one the Tesla soldiers nod and chorus out, "Yes sir!" Chance nodded then gestured with his hand. "You're all on leave until we call you in. When you get the call you get here ricky-fucking-tick. Off you go." Chance also headed out. Wanting some sleep before the big day.
During the Park Meeting
Chance stood just to the left and slightly behind his father, who in turn stood to the left of John Banks himself. Chance scanned the crowd of gang members. They had all brought their best. Just like they had. He stood in his normal three piece suit in silver and grey. But had a ceramic combat vest on under it. Just like his dad and the patriarchs did. They were all armed too.
Which did shit all when the firing started. It's like the air split open and the fighting started. As they had trained for the Tesla Gang members swarmed in, providing covering fire as Chance and a chosen pair of gangers sheparded the Patriarchs and Banks to the armored SUVs to get them out of there.
Chance had just gotten John Banks into a truck when a ball of toxin goo struck beside him. He spun, drew his pistol and signalled the driver to take Banks out of there. He then began to fire on the Beasts and Toxins, keeping his father and the Patriarchs covered.
He shouted over the Tesla communication channel, "How the hell did this happen? Who fired first?" The Patroller Captain who is second in command of the security force calls back, "Don't know sir. I don't think it was any of us." Chance growls coming up and downing a Beast goon with a shot to the chest, "Alright, by the numbers. Get the Patriarchs out of here, we board the last truck and get the hell out of here. I'm going to have someones balls for this I swear. Go!"
It took the Teslas almost an hour after that to get back to the safety of the Tesla Incorporated Tower. By then Chance was already trying to figure out what the hell had happened.
