    'A Life Sentence' Note

    Romance|Mature|Fantasy

    Dear Reader,

This roleplay I created is completely original, and if I find it upon another site, I won't just ignore it.

So here, you will notice that this story is slightly cliché, but I assure you, boredom will make no such entrance while you stay, for I have many things up my sleeve.
Now, this is the end of my short note. Next to read is the rules, don't worry, I keep everything short, I just like to make things look fancy.

I will also not reserve a character unless you read the rules.

And I will know if you haven't.

    Love Always,

    Lights

    'A Torturous Curse' Note

    Romance|Mature|Fantasy

    Dear Reader,

The story explanation is very short, so I may have missed a few things. But anyways, it involves many different sides of the square; drama, horror, action...
As like all of my roleplays, pretty much. The plot may sound too lovey dovey, but I added a twist onto it, so it's not JUST based on romance.
It is also based of the 'Fallen' series, which you are in no way required to know
(it would be pointless if you did, anyways).

I also assure you, boredom will make no such entrance while you stay, since so many different things can happen in this story. There is also a large possibility to sequels.

Now, this is the end of my short note. Next to read is the rules, don't worry, I keep everything short, I just like to make things look fancy.

I will also not reserve a character unless you read the rules.

And I will know if you haven't.

I realize Christmas is crawling up quick, so this will be an easy-going roleplay. Posting is minimum once a week, and I expect you to be able to easily write two or more paragraphs/what is expected in casual roleplay. Though I expect you to be able to write that much, it is not what I expect in each post, besides the introduction post. I am looking for experienced roleplays who aren't lazy with their writing, spelling or grammar. If you find it difficult to write two paragraphs, this is not the level for you, nor is this the roleplay for you.

    Writing Sample: Older

    Written in 2010
It was a stormy night; gloomy, gray clouds crowded the lonely night sky, and bright
flashes of lightning seemed to continuously beat at the ground. Lace was on her way home
from the veterinary clinic as the storm quickly reached a higher degree, getting worse
and worse by the minute. She was a small woman, about 5'4" and weighing only 120
pounds; Her dirtied blonde hair reached just below her mid back, and her sky
blue eyes never failed to sparkle in the light. Though she was beautiful, she hadn’t
been in many serious relationships, or even friendships for that matter. She
was alone most of the time, and her large, empty three story home just behind the
shoreline of the beach, didn’t help.

Lace stared at the ground as she walked,
her calf-length stilettos clicking loudly on the wooden pathway. Her black
button up jacket was pulled up past her chin, and her toque blocked half of her
eye sight. When she looked up at the sky, a shadow shaped of large bird wings rapidly flew over the
buildings before she could get a proper glimpse at it. It wasn’t a bird, but she knew
perfectly well what it was. She smiled foolishly, her dimples becoming more
defined, and waited, as if she knew it, or he, would be back.

Written 06-23-2012: I do have the ability to write more than this, and this sample cam from a 1x1 I participated in. I personally believe I have improved, but is just through my eyes.

It’s been two days since Lucinda Kemry had seen even a glimpse of the sun or even moved out of this claustrophobic room. The walls were made out of thick slabs of cement, while the floor was just another layer of the same material. She lay on the ground, her face squished against the hard surface, the tiny, loose rocks molding into the dullness of her cheeks. Her lips were bright red and uncomfortably swollen as dehydration began to take its toll, while her skin was a ghostly pale; she could almost pass for a vampire, though the dark circles around her eyes seemed to contradict.

    Vampires.

Just yesterday Luce had learned that these creatures she only knew from movies and books, were actually real. She was terrified, to say the least. Everything she thought she knew turned out to be wrong, and now here she was: Lying on the ground in a blood-stained robe she was given, while the rest of her clothes seemed to vanish. She was lucky enough to have a little fresh air from a thin window at the top of the wall; but the darkness never seemed to subside- maybe it led to another room?

Shivers erupted through Luce as a stronger breeze appeared out of nowhere, and the two strangers she met earlier, returned. Luce was the last one of the group that she had awoken next to, and it terrified her just thinking of what happened to them. Luce sat up, pushing herself backwards until she hit the uneven wall. Pain ached at every bone and muscle from lying frozen to the ground for so long, not that she couldn’t move, she just chose not to. She hugged her knees tightly, shooting out one of her best glares at the vampires. They simply laughed in return before making their way over to her and pulling her up by her neck. Filthy humans. The man mumbled as they dragged her out of the cell and locking her inside the trunk of a car. The last thing she noticed was the smirk plastered on the woman’s face. Luce screamed. She screamed, and screamed, and screamed, beating the insides of the trunk as hard as she could. When the car finally stopped, she prepared herself for the latch above her to open, planning on escaping. She knew it most likely wouldn’t work, but she had to at least try. The latch slowly opened, revealing the face of another beautiful man. Luce coward in intimidation, though regaining her courage as she leaped out of the trunk, running as fast as her legs could take her down the impossibly long driveway. The sky was pitch-black as it seemed to always be, making it extremely difficult to see, but as she made it farther down the driveway, she actually believed that she would make it.

That was, until she ran smack into the man’s chest. With the impact of her crash, Luce bounced back, making a loud thump as she hit the ground. Luce was in a daze for a mere 3 seconds before she was thrown over the man’s shoulder. “Let me. Go!” She threw her foot back so that her heal would jam straight into the man’s nose. That was obviously a bad idea as she fell head first back onto the ground. The man growled, his light eyes turning black. “What the f-” Luce was cut off before the man snatched her wrist and dragging her back up the driveway to the entrance of a house. That was a terrible idea. She thought to herself as her head dragged along on the concrete, her blonde hair turning an ashy gray from the dirt. The man pulled her back up by her wrists and shoved her towards the door, pulling a long string that was obviously the doorbell. An older woman who was most likely a human opened the door. She had dark gray hair, her roots beginning to turn white, with deep wrinkles setting along her forehead and eyes; yet her posture was perfect, which was strange with her obvious age. Luce smiled, waving at the woman, looking back up at the man expressionlessly. The man was smirking. What was with all these smirks?! It was beginning to anger Luce, and she was highly tempted to introduce the palm of her hand with this face. The man looked down on her as she was only 5’5, his stare could pretty much cause anyone to shrink and cower, but Luce had come to sickness of this man.

Waltzing into the house, Luce left the man at the door; that’s what she was supposed to do, wasn’t it? She wasn’t entirely sure why she was here, but she didn’t care considering it was much nicer than the other place. The old lady suddenly appeared at Luce’s side. “You really should respect them,” the woman whispered into her ear. Luca ignored her, pretending to be fearless, when really she wasn’t. “How can you?” She finally said. The woman simply shrugged before leading her further into the house. “Mr. Astages should arrive shortly.” The woman left Luce to stand there alone.

    Perfect chance.
