Avatar: The Past IC

Laurent had watched the whole thing from the sidelines, he saw the firebender girl save the airbending boy. He decided to follow them, but not get too close. Once they split, he followed the boy, and saw the boy walk into a cave. Laurent saw the wolf leave the cave, and avoided it as best as he could. Laurent decided to stay close to the cave, since it was getting dark, and he wouldn't be able to make it back to town in time. He started a fire, and fell asleep soon after.

Kain woke up to the smell of smoke. He got up and walked outside and saw a man next to the fire. He took a seat next to the fire, waiting for him to wake up. He cautiously looked around for raiders or bandits. He held another air orb in his hand, ready to fire it.

Laurent heard some rustling, and opened his eyes to check, and saw a man sitting by his fire. He sat up right away, and shot fire at him, not enough to kill him, or even badly injure him, but enough to know he was serious, and then ran in the direction of town.

It was Market day for the Water Tribe girl, seeing as she just got paid for the odd jobs she had been completing around the Fire Nation's capitol. She needed to buy supplies and make her way back home quickly. She was constantly in danger here, since she was from the Southern Water Tribe. Tikaani looked around and saw a fire nation palace servant shopping as well.

"Yeah, they're looking for another servant for the palace. The other family needs a special servant for their daughter," she overheard the servant girl say to a merchant. A thought then got into her head, 'If I work for the Fire Lord and the Avatar hunting family, my life may be easier.' The disguised Water Tribe girl then walked over to the servant and stated that she would like to take up the job.

"As long as you can fight, follow me," the Servant said leading her to the palace. There, Tikaani was tested physically. She only used her quick agility and knowledge of non-bender fighting arts. She was approved and sent to the girl's sleeping quarters to be introduced. The girl was still asleep when they arrived, so the mother went to wake the girl up.

Mai woke up in the morning by her mother and heard a knocking on the door. The door opened and she sat up to see the Fire Lord's son. She rubbed her eyes and bowed as best as she could while sitting. "Good Morning Prince." she managed to say still feeling tired.

The Prince smiled slightly. "Mai, you know you dont need to call me that. We have been here together four years at the least." he said sitting next to her on the bed. "So, I heard you were with an Air bender yesterday."

Mai raised her eyebrow.

"Your brothers told me." he said knowing her confusion. Mai sigh. "I dont even no him, Luke. I swear, he was folowing me yesterday and got into some misunderstanding, I helped him." Mai said. Luke nodded. "I understand." he said standing up. "I shall see you at breakfast." he smiled and walked out, closing the door.

Mai sigh and prepared for the day ahead of her. Can I trust Luke? He is my friend... I mean I could consider... she thought while walking down to the main dining hall to eat. She ran into a girl and stepped back. "Hello, I would love to talk but I really cant be late... Ill be back by noon.." she said. Then continued to walk away, she was about to sit at her seat next to her mother until Prince Luke waved her over. "What?" she ask. "Sit next to me. I dont want to sit by my sister." he said.
"I cant, your father will yell at me..." Mai said sitting in her seat.
Luke was upset over that but ate his breakfast then went off to help him sister. But Mai followed Seria into the town, looking for something to do for the day.

[Briz]

Briz and Blaire looked at each other on hearing the girl claim to be the avatar. Shaking their heads the siblings started to walk in the direction the girl had run off in. When they realized they couldn't find her they went back to the town and after resting for the night headed back out. Wile roaming around they spotted the girl from yesterday but this time she wasn't alone.

Mai looked around the town and where ever she went people would greet her and she would smile. It was always the same. She sigh and looked down to Seria. "What should we do today?" she asked more to herself. "Maybe..... I know what we need to do. I need to master my elements, all of them. But should I tell Luke...." she questioned herself again and again until she saw Briz and Blaire and froze. They were staring at her, not that it was any different from any other day but it felt different somehow.

Mai walked over to them and smiled slightly. "Hello, I am Mai." she greeted them.

Skyler had walked past the group of three and joined them. "And I am Skyler, but I dont know any of you." she looked to Mai. "Well you dont count, everyone knows you Miss Mai." she said with a blank stare now focused on Briz and Blaire.

"Hello Mai. I am Briz and this is Blaire. You look familiar though we can honestly say we haven"t heard of you before." Briz said while taking in both the people in front of them.

"Nice to meet you both and may I ask why your staring at us Skyler."Blaire asked when she saw Briz start to scan the area around them.

"It's nice to meet you both also. I am Mai Fang, Daughter of the people trying to find the Avatar.... My family and I live in the Fire Lords home.... So I am friends with his son Prince Luke and daughter Prinsess Azra." Mai said looking down.

Skyler looked away quickly. "I am sorry, for I dont talk to other alot..." she managed now petting Seria. Plus Seria didnt mind the extra attention.
