Incubus/Sucubus pairs tournament

Basically it's a tournament where everyone is in pairs. I don't mean everyone controls two characters. I mean literally you have to work WITH another player.

One thing that annoys me about roleplay is that there's only very rarely people who know how to work together, everyone wants to be big man on campus, this would be a nice little exercise in cooperative play.

the basic plot is that there are 12 humans who inherited the genes of the Incubus king (how this happened exactly will be explained if there is enough interest) and each possess a 'King Piece' inside them which corresponds to each kind of piece on a chess board (so black pawn, white pawn, black king, white queen etc). their piece determines which part of the incubus king's power they inherited.

In order to do battle each king candidate needs his own 'queen'. this queen is any woman that the king candidate had sexual intercourse with and, using his seed, turned into a succubus. Whether the queen is his lover, or just some hooker he happened to be with when his powers awoke, or a girl he raped, she is now bound to him and incapable of refusing his orders or harming him (not to say that she is inherently 'loyal' to him, simply that she is bound to his service).

so how it goes is that one player is the king, the other is the queen. the queen is the one with all the real supernatural powers, and the king is, by comparison, quite weak (just like in chess where the queen is the most powerful piece and the king is second only to the pawn in weakness). the tourney will be fought in battles of 2 on 2 and will end only when one of the kings is dead (a king can live without his queen, but a queen will die with her king).

as you defeat more and more people of your color you will absorb their pieces and add their powers to your own until one fighter for white and one fighter for black remain (though you can still fight and kill people of the other color so as to make the final battle easier for you, you will still absorb their piece you just won't be able to use their power). the winner is crowned the new King Incubus.

well that's exactly it, there ARE only 12 incubi in the whole world (well, on earth anyways) this whole tournament was basically a contingency plan by the former king of the incubi. he was in a war, and he was loosing, badly. He knew his race was doomed, so he traveled to earth in secret and impregnated a human woman, before going back to hell and leading his species to their glorious last stand.

the woman he impregnated gave birth to 2 sons, twins. they each held the white and black part of the king's power.

the imps (who were friend with teh incubus king and supported his reellion) watched over those two boys and made sure they each sired 6 sons of their own. splitting up the king's power into it's 12 separate components, and they watched over the 12 human families descended from the incubus king, to make sure that each successive heir of his dormant power was safe.

now, after X number of years (probably something like 200) they have decided that enough time has passed, and it's time for the incubus king to rise again. so they 'awaken' each piece, turning each man holding one in his soul into an incubus and appear before them, informing them of the situation, and telling them what they must do now if they want to survive.

the imps don't care who wins, they just want the 12 king candidates to slaughter each-other until one is standing, the one who is left will be crowned the new king and he'll be tasked with teh responsibility of rebuilding the Cubus empire

hummm, sounds like it could be a precursor to a bigger story-based RP xD but yeah, that info is the kinda stuff you wanna add in when your going to have specific limitations on 'what's possible' XD

Question though, 'can' they make other incubi? =P I mean there's the only 'making succubi' part. though obviously the random new incubi wouldn't be in possession of a king piece >.>

see the big idea i've got brewing right now? Would involve the gay incubus I mentioned before, and his initial encounter with his 'corrupting seed' would've been with his lover, a man =P that would turn him, but after he was informed of the tournament he'd more or less be forced to bang a woman somewhere to get his pet warrior to fight for his survival. I mean yeah i can stomach it if it's an absolute necessity DX course that still doesn't explain why he wouldn't be able to turn a new incubus to his warrior servant XD it's not like he passes on the king piece by screwing someone >=C

then again >.> if he does split the king piece by making another incubus, could they be a 'pair' of kings with one queen? xD I mean like breaking the rules where possible without causing a serious issue for the RP itself o.o what if the pair could fight together, but they could only use the power of a split up king piece by working together XD

or for that matter, do the other candidates 'need' to die? =3 why not just make them future lackeys XD

the only way to 'make' another incubus is for an incubus to have sex with a succubus and impregnate her, that makes n incubus.

if a succubus gets pregnant from any othe species, that will make another succubus, if an incubus impregnates a female from another species, it will make monster-children (vampires, witches and were-wolves all come from human/incubus unions. Merlin's own father was an icubus)

the only exception to this is in the case of the incubus king, who can make more incubi with any female he damn well pleases to.

one way or another though, incubi are born, not made.

i should note though that yes, i you do make an incubus, you DO pass on your king piece to him, and lose it in the process. that's why there are only 12 candidates, instead of 12 candidates, plus all their fathers and grandfathers who are still alive.

and yes, you do have to kill the other participants, as long as even one other is alive then that means that the king's power is still split, and a new king can't be crowned.

there's no rule against teaming up temporarily, but the imps will make it very clear that, at the end of all this, only one of the 12 will be left alive.

Interesting idea. Count me in!

I have a suggestion, however, to maybe start out small first. Having 20 or so people in a roleplay sounds like a lot of work to manage. Maybe have four or five people instead and pair them up with different people, so 5^2 = 25 characters!

Again, this is just a suggestion.
