"I'm fine for now. I might eat an orange, but that's it." He lets go of her hand and motions for her to go ahead and eat. He was sure she couldn't mess up eating.

"Really?" Evaline asks curiously. "I never knew that." His hand was holding her's again, and Evaline tried to slow down, but she was too pumped up after her awesome nap. Evaline observed the food items that lay before her, her stomach growling. She picks up some bread, meat, and an orange before turning to Carl. "Are you hungry?" she asks him. Evaline is still distracted by the food so her attention isn't completely on Carl, but she is still trying to seem concerned.

Carl motions for her to eat, and so Evaline takes a big bite of the bread. She chews very fast, but then slows down to savour the taste. Evaline had never been a big eater, she could last a week on a loaf of bread. She looked up at Carl as she chewed and smiled, then Evaline began choking. She dropped her food and her hands clasped her throat. Evaline felt as if she might cough out her lungs. Her face was turning red and she reached over for a glass of water, chugging it down within seconds. She sighed with relief as the coughing stopped and noticed many people were now looking at her. "I'm fine, he he..." she said nervously. Evaline looked down, embarassed. She put down the glass and quickly made her way back to their seats.
(I know. Feel the distractingness. Feel it.)

(Sorry I've been dead for a bit. Had a bit of a writing burn out.)
Carl was ready to tie the girl to the seat for being such a danger to herself. She nearly chocked eating and he wasn't sure his heart could take the levels of worry this girl was making him endure. This time he throws subtlety out the window, and hugs her tight with his arm to keep her close. "Please stop scaring me. I think I'm going to lose it if you scare me again."
Carl's embrace feels warm and Evaline giggles. She lets out a deep breath, for he was right. She was a bit of a hazard to herself and if Evaline didn't pull herself together, she was going to fail her first mission. There were only three stops left now to Onibus, and Evaline already felt slightly dejected as she hadn't exactly been performing her best. But she put on her big-girl pants and sucked it up, promising that she would do an amazing job, both for herself and because she owed it to Carl to at least be useful. He had teamed up with her, probably a horrible decision, but that's what she had to live with now.
Evaline had never been close to anyone, not even her parents. No one had ever expected anything out of her, and right now she was grateful for it. The sheer anxiety of expectations was enough to make Evaline shudder. She pulled away from Carl and gave him a reassuring smile. More for herself than for him, she had to admit, but nonetheless, it was convincing enough for the both of them. She wanted to do good on this quest despite the klutz she was, to prove to her self, and to everyone else, that she can.

Carl melts under the warm smile she gives him and pats her head. He still didn't know what to do with her, but he was fairly determined to accomplish the job. He puts on his serious face and tries to talk again, "I wanted to ask you what Lyra could do. Since she is the only guardian you can summon."
"Well, um..." Evaline stutters. She loved Lyra, and summoned her whenever she could, but she wasn't of much use in actual battles. "Lyra can sing... That's about it. I'm sorry," Evaline squeaks. She had not thought about what she was actually going to do once they got there yet. First to make contracts, yes. She would summon everyone that she could. Evaline worried about all the things that could go wrong, staying calm by focusing on the motion of Carl patting her head.
Lucy had told her that Virgo and Leo (she could call him Loke if she liked) were very dependable. Hologorium wasn't very suited to battle, but he could act as protection. Aquarius had a bit of an attitude and wasn't very keen on being summoned to much. Lucy hadn't summoned Gemini very often, but Gemini was strong. At this point, Evaline just hoped that any of them would show up. She breathed deeply. This was a quest she was determined not to mess up.

After some time of waiting on the train, it finally pulled into the station. 'Onibus' written in big, beautiful letters. Evaline stares wide-eyed and goofy-grinned at the sign. This was the first time she'd really been out of the city on a quest. Everything seemed like it was glowing, radiating the same time of happiness Evaline felt inside. Taking another look at her quest page, she felt herself feeling good about this quest for the first time. "Come on, Carl!" she called to him excitedly.
Evaline bounced off the train, landing on the platform clumsily. It was like walking on clouds, or water. She had no idea where she was going, but her feet just began walking, leading her to a magical place that she didn't yet know of. The mansion in the job description was big, and that's all Evaline was looking for. It couldn't be that hard to spot a big building. Well, it wouldn't be that hard if Evaline wasn't completely oblivious to everything and got distracted very easily. And we're off on an adventure, she thinks happily.

Carl follows Evaline since she seemed to know where where they were going. At least he assumed she did, because of how often she checked the quest page. "Hope she doesn't spaced out again and get us lost." He thinks.
She walks for a while, knowing that Carl hasn't gotten lost yet by listening to his footsteps. The trees begin to blur together and after a while, Evaline can't tell which way is left and which way is right. She's about to admit to Carl that she'd gotten them lost yet again, but then she spots it. A beautiful mansion, looking like it came straight out of a fairy tail. Evaline had noticed it was slightly dark out already, and it was only then that she realized how long they had been travelling. Excited, she ran the rest of the way, kicking up dust and getting her new white socks dirty. Enthusiastically ringing the doorbell several times, Evaline admired how large the mansion was. From her height, it appeared to be even larger than it probably was.
After waiting several seconds, the gates open to reveal and interesting looking man. "Welcome, welcome!" he told them humbly, arms wide open as if he were expecting a hug, and an inviting smile on his face. If Evaline had known him better, she probably would've actually ran straight into his arms for a great hug. "Hiya!" she greeted with equal energy. "I assume you two are the mages from Fairy Tail here to help me out!" "We sure are," Evaline told him sweetly. "I am most grateful for your service. Why don't you two come on in?" He made a gesture that indicated 'follow me', and began making his way up the brick path up to the front doors. Evaline looked at Carl, giggled, and then ran after the man who was their client.
