Crimson smirked darkly as she finished the last piece of her meat, "Yes, but here you are like royalty, so it's as expected for you to look for someone higher in the ranks than below." Her more dangerous side was coming out now and that was because she was still a little sleepy and had blood in her now. She stood up and looked at him, "Besides how is a low life like me... a halfling... suppose to up the ranks when no one dares to look at her twice?"

Mav smiled softly, "I remember that... you got so mad at me when I accidentally broke it. I offered to fix it, but you refused. I never got to see what was inside of it, but all you told me was it was from your parents, so you'd never forget them or your sister."

Dean laughed and smiled at her, "Higher? There is no one higher then me, Crimson. Besides," he looked at her, "I don't want to be with anyone else."

He sighed at her comment and ran his hand through his hair, "You being a half long doesn't change those feelings. Who cares if the others don't look twice at you... I did."

Amethyst smiled, "It was a three part locket... It had a picture of both my parents and one of my sister. I didn't wish to show you it because I was worried you might recognize my parents. She touched the chain that hung around her neck now. The same as the one that was in the picture. She opened it and held it out to him, "Nothing to hide anymore..."

Mav nodded as he looked at the pictures surely he did recognize them. The woman was from the pack and the man was once the leader of the vampires before Dean took control, "Your right I do know them..."

Crimson smiled softly, "Yes that's true you did look twice and more." Gently she reached up and kissed him softly, but then a fellow vampire came into the room, "M'lord!"

Amethyst nodded, "Exactly everything would have been ruined if you found out..."

She had started to organize her thoughts and felt like she was an eighth of the way there. She dropped the necklace and looked at him before she leaned forward and kissed him. As quickly as she did she pulled away, blushing, "Sorry... I barely even kno-" she stopped and looked at the picture, "I barely... Remember you."

Dean smiled as she kissed him and placed his hand on the back of her neck. When he heard someone say his title behind him. Breaking the kiss, he sighed and looked at the vampires, "Yes?"

Mav smiled softly then leaned forward, "It's alright." Gently he pressed his lips against her's again.

Crimson blushed softly as she stood next to Dean and he looked to the vampire. The vampire stood there a little shocked at first then shook his head, "There is a group of vampires at the castle gates. We don't know who they are, but they wish to speak to you, M'lord."

As they kissed Amethyst's mind raced. There was a sudden explosion in memories. It was everyone that was missing but it was many from the past year. Many of it was Mav she didn't remember everytime they hung out but she remember how she felt for him. She returned his kiss with passion.

Dean nodded and stood. He looked at Crimson and smiled, "I'll be back."

With that he felt her in the dining room and walked to the front door. Passing them he strode through the court yard till he finally reached the main gates. Opening on of them he smiled at the visitors, "How may I help you?"

Mav pulled away smiling softly as he looked at Amethyst, "Are you alright?"

Crimson nodded her head then left the Dinning Room. She walked into the Library to see her book was still sitting there. Gently she touched it, but never picked it up.

One vampire that had two swords on his back stepped forward, "We are from Black Haven. Our Lord sent us to escort our Lady here. He said you agreed to watch over her while the war continued. Are you still able to hold up to that, Lord Dean?"

Dean looked at the vampires then nodded, "Aye, I did and I am fully capable of that. Please send her in."

He stepped to the side to allow them to enter the castle grounds, "But allow me to remind you all, Lord or Lady in my castle. My rules as to be followed."

Amethyst ran her hand through hair and nodded, "I'm fine... I just... I remember how I felt... Feel for you. You have been so kind to me, it is clear why I fell for you in the first place."

The vampires all nodded their heads as they walked in to the castle grounds. One person stood out and it was the Lady. She was riding a solid black horse wearing a ruby red dress. She bowed her head to him as they passed by him.

Mav smiled softly, "Yes well it would have been a longer feeling if I hadn't been such a coward."

Crimson watched as the unknown vampires came into the castle grounds as soon as she seen the Lady of them she growled low to herself. She then left the window and descended down into her dungeon room to sit in the corner, 'She's pretty... no beautiful... and she's royal like him... I guess I should just hope and pray that I'm not about to be out done.'

Dean placed his hand on his shoulder as he bowed to her. Once they all were through the gate he closed it behind them. He made his way over to the lady and helped her down from the horse. He looked to those who now sought refuge in his home. He lower in a heightened voice, "As I said before we have rules which must be obeyed. If you do not agree to our terms you may leave.... We share a treaty with the werewolves of this town. We do not hunt them, they do not hunt us. We are forbidden from hunting on their grounds as they are ours. The line is drawn from north to south from the clock tower.

"One more thing, my tower is not to be entered," his study where he kept ever important file on hand. Even with the Lady of the Black Haven clan, in his hands, he did not trust the Lord. He was a man who took pride in his spies and manipulative ways. He expected no less from the Lady. He bowed again to her, "Are you hungry at all, M'lady?"

Amethyst shook her head, "I did not only have feelings for you when you told be your own. I had already been harvesting this feeling. With my own cowardice we were less when both wished for more."
