I apologize if my critiques are short and a little off, but I'm a tiny bit tired and just want to point out the basics this month...it's terrible that I couldn't participate...I wanted to do a Final Fantasy VIII theme...that FF never got much credit compared to its predecessor.
- The artwork is beautiful, and the contrasts really make the image pop. Unfortunately, I have no clue what this is from...and like I had done in the casual thread, I voted not only for the artistry, but for something I knew and loved. Nonetheless, your work is wonderful, and I hope to see it some more.
- I have three letters for you - O. M. G! Not only is it an adorable chibi, but it is a CLOUD CHIBI! How awesome is that?! The work is simple, easily defined, and positively adorable! For all of these reasons, I give you my vote.
- One thing's for certain...you have some drawing talent I wish I had! Unfortunately, I didn't recognize the movie. In fact, for some reason (probably because I haven't seen Fox and the Hound or All Dogs Go to Heaven in at least 7 or 8 years) I thought it was from one of the All Dogs Go to Heaven movies...sad, I know. But very well done, even if I didn't recognize it...*smiles sheepishly*
- We had a lot of Marios done this month! And yours is very nice. The manipulation is seemless, almost as if it was designed just that way. And you used the recent technological advancements to your advantage, utilizing the newer pictures instead of the originals. However, I would have liked to see someone take an original Mario picture...that would have made it more worth while for me, personally. Still, well done.
- Ah...the seven princesses...very famous, and hand drawn artworks are always going to catch the eye of the voters. However, the question is why did you draw the dolls sitting on a child's bed? Is this a picture of you as a child? Or perhaps your daughter or something like that? What's the personal reference to this? The art was good, yes...but I just didn't see enough depth, persay...
