Okay, so I hope that this is acceptable! I appreciate how much thought and effort you put into this, Aqua, and I hope this RP lasts.

Personality: Very hard-headed and proud, often labeled as a bully. He holds bitter resentment for many people even without knowing them, simply because they probably think he's only half-Youkai due to only using magic and having no true form. He likes showing off and does it well, using his abilities in flashy displays of power and prowess that impress many, gaining him quite a bit of popularity. He holds a soft spot for protecting others he likes, however, and will be very defensive and aggressive if his friends are endangered in any way. He would love to encounter someone with his level of combative prowess to see who would come out on top, and teases people he considers weak. He has roughly the attention span of a flea if the present conversation doesn't concern him in some way, and will vocalize his boredom without care for tact or manners. He works surprisingly well under pressure, but will make rash, violent decisions if stressed to the breaking point. He loves a good joke, and makes fun of others often, further supplying many student's reasons for disliking him and calling him a bully. He enjoys any and all athletic endeavors, usually the one to always put the most effort into PE but slacks in his other classes, thinking that any knowledge other than that of spellcasting and fighting was useless to him.

History: Born into an exceptional witch family in England, he was pretty much taught to hate those that thought the witches weren't true Youkai, and to hate the humans, as well, leaving him shoved into a very thin moral strip of things to cling onto. At a very young age, he expressed a violent fervor that quickly became worrying when he began attacking others without much or any provocation. His mother, a powerful witch, taught him to contain his abilities and to release them in voluntary waves of power through writing runes into his skin that "opened" up his abilities rather than conventional spellcasting. He learned to integrate his notably more primal form of magic into a fighting style that revolved around powering his attacks with deadly spells consistently cast through the runes he writes with his special marker on himself. After his family realized that he only used his runecasting to attack humans in the real world, however, they decided it was for the best to send him to Japan to go to Youkai Academy to hopefully learn to tolerate humans and to gain some discipline. While he was upset to leave his mother's side, he knew her word was law in the family and so decided that if he was going to be sent off to a new school where his parents couldn't defend him from bullies, he would have to make sure to be scary and powerful enough to keep bullies away. His mother, before sending him off, gave him the special marker he used to train for him to write out runes in case he needed to defend himself. He trained and trained for years before coming to Youkai Academy, and hopes to find and fight every powerful opponent he possibly can. He will automatically challenge anyone to a fight if they speculate that he's only half-Youkai.

Abilities: He carries a special black marker with him wherever he goes that serves as his wand, scribbling out incantations across his chest, arms, legs, wherever he needs it. Depending on the rune, he can activate different set abilities, though the main two runes he uses gives him extra strength and sets his hands ablaze with crackling red energy. The other abilities he knows how to activate are a spell that increases his speed and one that shoots spikes out of his hands, though he never feels comfortable with using the spike attack due to its dangerous nature and the fact that it can potentially kill the opponent. He likes punching and kicking much more than long-range attacks, and is very weak when it comes to defense, due to his human body. He can be killed just as easily as any human can, pushing him to find a way of making himself more difficult to injure. It also takes a minute or two for his runes to unlock his magic after he draws them out, giving opponents a huge advantage at the start of the battle, hence why he wants to be more physically durable. He dodges and swerves out of the way of attacks best he can, added strength and energy from his runes giving him an edge in close combat.

Other: He is fearful of using blades of any sort, after accidentally wounding his mother when he first tried to integrate it into his fighting style.

what does this red energy do? Which i am going to assume is yokai energy from now on

Also how many runes can you use at once?

The red energy is basically electricity. More runes = More magic = More stress. The more runes he uses, the greater stress he exerts on himself. If he uses an overpowered rune or something, he might pass out/die. The most he can use (and this is the absolute most) is four at once. Two electricity runes on each of his hands, a strength rune and a speed rune, usually both drawn onto his stomach, at the center of the body, where it'll disperse. He can switch it up to give him more power in a certain region, like drawing four strength runes onto his arms and shoulders to get a super-punch, or speed up a little with four speed runes on his thighs and calves, etc.

to be very mean I am going to say that by putting it on the stomach/chest it quarters the effectiveness compared to a single limb (though you may have meant this by disperse anyway). Why? because it will make it more interesting for me to see how you use it :P

I'm not the guy who makes the decision but it sounds like he doesn't really have anywhere to go from there and it also sounds a little over powered, but again that's just my personal opinion.

Yeah, just a lil' bit of extra strength and speed everywhere is usually all he needs to get a least a slight advantage. :P Also, I PM'd his grades to you already. The subject is something along the lines of "Youkai Academy Report Card" or something similar.

I'm really sorry if it's overpowered, I'll just scrap this CS and start from scratch if everyone thinks he's too powerful. I feel really impolite, I'm really sorry. U_U I have a few ideas for him later, considering he only knows those four runes for now. I think it can actually expand quite nicely, if only a few would give me the benefit of the doubt. Not to be overly defensive of my character, I hate overpowered characters as much as anyone.

he has plenty of room for growth, plus I will be watching carefully to see that none of the runes are that powerful yet

he has a lot of flexibility but also some big weaknesses

EDIT: I couldn't be bothered to check :P also its extra speed/strength from a human level strength to begin with, so its not like he is a monster that is being buffed
