Her hair is a rich shade of ebony black. It flows in waves to adorn her glowing, peaches and cream skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, are a bright, jade-green and seem to brighten the world. A straight nose, small, soft pink lips - she appears the picture of perfection. Her forehead is high, accompanied by high cheekbones, and her always must be perfect eyebrows. She has a medium-size frame, is 5'4", and rather busty. Though naturally beautiful, Gabi, being an overachiever, enjoys making an effort to catch eyes, often wearing classic, Audrey Hepburn-inspired designer clothes. (She is currently wearing her swimsuit underneath a pair of white capri's and a plain, pale-pink one shoulder tank top.)


Background: In the small southern town of Rhine, Ga, a pair of alcoholics, unmarried and undeserving of a child, were given the most precious gift of a baby girl. Gabi, like several other people, has a few memories from a young age that she can still clearly recall. The earliest of them is of herself waking up next to a random stranger in an unfamiliar house, with a weird smell on clothes. It was a smell her parents often gave off, a mixture or alcohol and cigarettes, as she would later learn from one too many parties in college. There isn't much variation between the few memories after that.

Her life with her alcoholic parents dramatically changed when her dad divorced her mom. She was eight at the time. Her mom was arrested for possessing and selling drugs a month later and Gabi was placed in the care of her dad's parents. She lived with them until she was thirteen, by which time her dad had straightened his life out and started running his own business - a small bakery. So, she went to live with her dad in Savannah, which is where he had been living for five years.

It was nice living with her dad and if anyone asked her what she thought of him, she'd tell them that he was one of the people she admired most in the world. He encouraged her to work for what she wanted and to never give up on her dreams, no matter how large or small. This fueled her desire to go to college, which resulted in her taking two part-time jobs while she was in high school. She'd been lucky enough to find two jobs in walking distance from her house and was able to save up most of the money she made, so that when it came time for college, she was able to proudly tell her father that she could pay for her tuition. Of course, her dad had helped pay for everything else, but she was still very proud of herself for being able to pay the tuition.

During her college years, she had three part-time jobs on campus. One in the campus store, the other in Starbucks, and the last in a little cafe. She was also not one for partying, although she was dragged to a few by friends. However, she always made sure to never accept any drinks. She'd seen what they could do to you with her parents as the example and was not looking forward to repeating their mistakes.

College passed quickly, and soon she found herself in graduate school, working towards a medical degree. She still wasn't sure whether she wanted to work in genetics or forensics, specifically, but figured it would come to her in time.

It was her spring break when the asteroids hit. She had been having a fun time with friends and family, hanging out on the beach and reminiscing about old times. But it had all come falling apart in a matter of moments. Her friends and family - all dead. She was the lone survivor of her group. It was miraculous, but why her, she'd thought in one moment in the aftermath of the asteroid hit. The thought hadn't lasted long. There were much worse things to think about, like how to survive now that the world seemed to be ending and where to go to feel safe again.

She had started walking, to where she didn't know, but the walking helped numb the many feelings and thousands of thoughts bouncing off the walls of her mind. In her walking, she'd come upon a little girl. The girl's wails had brought her away from the thoughts and emotions. She was alone, she'd noticed, and afraid, just like her.

Immediately, she'd felt a connection to the child and knew that the little girl would not last without her. Cautiously, she'd crept up to her, and sat down in front of her until the crying child noticed her presence. Slowly, the child had looked up at her, cheeks still damp from tears.

Gabi had smiled at her, asking for her name. "Jade," the child had responded, with a quiet voice. She then asked her how old she was. "Tree," she'd responded, and Gabi continued to smile comfortingly. But when she asked about her family, the little girl shook her head. Gabi assumed they died, like her family.

She promised the little girl she'd take care of her if she wanted to go with her. And she intended to keep that promise now, as she ran towards the military base - the safe place.

She is wearing a sundress. Its light skirt flows out above her knees showing off her light-skinned, porcelain-like legs. She is a beautiful child. Her hair is raven-black; shoulder-length with bangs that come down just above her eyes. It is decorated with a red headband. Her shoes are red rainboots, which she had been allowed to choose herself when getting dressed the morning of the asteroid collison. Her tiny bracelets match her light skin perfectly.

Background: Jade was born in San Francisco, Ca, the second child of a 40 year-old neurologist dad and 39 year-old lawyer mom. Her parents had very busy lives and she was mostly left in a daycare center as a baby, but recently enrolled into a nice pre-school after her third birthday.
She is a very quiet child and it was many months after her first birthday before she'd spoken a word, which her parents had been worried about. But pediatricians assured them that she was fine and was only what they called a "late bloomer". Her parents had come to accept the fact that Jade, unlike her older brother, is a quiet and reserved child who may or may not require phycological treatment in the future for personality disorders.

The Hong family had been on vacation in Hawaii, although Jade's parents were using the time to make connections with prominent people in their respective fields and go to dinner parties, when the asteroid crashed into Earth. A babysitter had been watching Jade, who had refused to go out with the rest of the family. But her parents and older brother did not come home. The babysitter eventually left, not caring enough for the child to take her with her.
Later on that day, luckily, Gabi found Jade crying outside the house that had been rented by Jade's parents. And the two wandered around together for four days, looking for food, water, and shelter. There had been riots, people running around in chaos, and lots of people lying on the ground. Gabi always covered her eyes when they passed those people. On the fifth day of their travels, Gabi told her they were going to go to a safe place where people would help them. At first, Gabi had walked slowly, carrying Jade who was tired from walking so much already, but they passed by a strange group of people on the road. The strange people then ran towards Gabi and Jade, and Gabi started running, reassuring Jade that the two of them would be okay at the safe place.

Background: James comes from a family of military men and recently women. Perhaps his best known ancestor is Hauptmann (Lieutenant) Wolff. He was one of the members of Jasta 11, the group that the Red Baron led and Lt. Wolff was 2nd in command. Regardless, his family had served it's home country (now the US) with pride whether it was in the skies of France to the sands of Kuwait. Thus, it was not a surprise when James joined the military. However, what was different about James was the fact that he joined the navy via the US Naval Academy where he majored and aspired to be an officer who held substantial responsibilities. His wishes came true 5 months ago when he got promoted to Lieutenant Commander aboard the USS Pennsylvannia SSBN-735. A nuclear submarine armed with 24 Trident II Ballistic Missiles. However, he was the 2nd in command of the ship, but James still felt proud when he received his commission.

Looks: Natural orange hair put up into a mohawk. He is about 5'10" and wears a lot of neon green. He has a pair of steam punk goggles that always hang around his neck. A black gas mask also hangs with the goggles. He is very thin but very built. Always carries a sniper rifle, a revolver, and a 5" blade. His usual atire when not on his bike is a tee a jeans.

Background: Born and raised in NYC he never had a good family life. He didn't have too many close friends but he was a very likable guy. He just enjoyed time alone. He had a steady job being filmed doing his dream job, free running. When he wasnt being filmed he was traveling to different contests and championships to make some cash.

Profession: Pro free runner

Personality: Easy going guy. Has bursts of slight insanity when angered. Caring and funny at times but he tends to be more of the loner type.

Appearance; He stands 5'2" Generally wearing a black grease resistant jumpsuit, oil smudges on his face. Long black hair, straight, usually in a ponytail. He also wears heavy black, steel toed combat boots. He also wears black leather biker gloves.

Background:Jack spent much of his school life dabbling in the shop classes, taking a heavy interest in building. Eventually, during his freshman year of high school, he joined the auto mechanics program.From then on, he worked into the advanced majors until college, where he attended UTI Auto mechanic courses, soon after he took extra classes to refine his skills, graduating at the age of 26. At the age of 28 he survived only because of his recent project, which was totaled, but he kicked the door off and grabbed his tools and set off to find any survivors.

Personallity; Easygoing, simple fellow, he seems to never be under stress, no matter how much is actually there. He always seems to be in a higher neutral mood, but has a strong sense of pride for his home.

Background: Skie is 21-years-old and lives by herself in a tiny apartment building. Both of her parents died when she was eight, so she was in foster care for most of her life. She barely speaks, because she just doesn't like talking. She will only talk when it is absolutely neccesary. Her dad died in the Navy, and her mother died of cancer. She is also in the Navy

Looks: long black hair (waist length), 5' 3'' when barefoot- doesn't wear heels. jeans and a t-shirt are her thing- you'll normally see her in them. Bright green eyes, which stand out against her chalk-pale face. freckles spread from cheek to cheek over the bridge of her nose. is relatively fit- but never did exercise. she's skinny.

Background: when she was very young, people broke into the only place she thought was safe and took her mother, killing her father. He had told her to go hide, and she hid so well that the intruders never found her. She hasn't seen her mom since. She doesn't even know if she's alive.
Since that day, she has hardly spoken a word. She only talks if it's close to life-threatening. She has learned just about everything there is to learn about survival- because she never wanted to be in that situation. She would learn how to get away. She was going to school when [this] all started. She managed to get out of the school and go somewhere safe, but that's where it's left off. (If there's any specific safehouse somewhere that's already been created, that's where She'll be).

Profession: school, but she can fight with just about anything.
personality: dangerous, testing, shy [not in the girly kind of way- she's just non-talkative], but really kind and forgiving to good friends. Doesn't trust anyone fully- and rarely trusts anyone period.
