We are the Children of the Angels.



Humans do not automatically become Angels when they pass. A soul has to work and train for years before gaining their wings and becoming a full-fledged Angel. Some stay in their soul form, and remain human for their afterlife. You can't blame them; the work to become an Angel is excruciating. However, once one has gained this status, they've also gained the privilege of choosing a lover.

On rare occasions, an angel couple is allowed to have one child. This child never lives on Earth; they are born as pure Angels. This occasion is very rare because not only do these children have the advantage of being born as Angels, they have control over one element: either Fire, Wind, Water, Electricity, Ice, Earth, Flora, Light....and Darkness. The angels who have control over Darkness are easily discernible: their wings are a pure black. These angels tend to be untrustworthy, but are necessary in keeping the balance of Light and Darkness in Heaven.

During age 13-19, these divine children attend a special school to hone their powers: a school aptley named the School of the Divine. This school is located in Heaven, but in a secluded, divine paradise: The North (front) end of the school overlooks a huge waterfall; the water of which flows off into a canyon of clouds and nothingness. The East and West sides are surrounded by beautiful, vast forests that are eternally painted in the bright reds and yellows of fall; never changing. On the South (back) end of the school is a giant lake; this is a perfect spot for Water Angels to practice their powers, but it is mostly used by the students for swimming.

You are one of the rare Divine children of this school. In fact, angel children are so uncommon, only about 200 students attend the school. There are two co-ed dorms located on the East side of the school; there are so little students that everyone is allowed to have their own dorm, though some prefer to have roommates.

There is no set plot to this story; you simply attend the academy, and you only have to take one 4-hour class a day, depending on what your element is. This class goes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The rest of the day is your own; divine children are treated with the upmost respect for their rarity, and are allowed to do about anything they desire; even partaking in romance and relationships. The School of the Divine is basically a paradise, and about 95% of the students treat it as such.

There is one thing you should know, though....though they possess the same amount of power as all other elements, and aren't intentionally mean, it is best to not completely trust Darkness Angels. They tend to, by nature, have a cruel disposition and short temper. They tend to enjoy fighting with other angels, and almost never get caught doing so. Besides, the staff at the School can only have do much control over such powerful and loosely-controlled students. Also, there have been rumors of a new group starting at the Academy, a gang of Darkness Angels who call themselves the "Group of Lucifer." I'm not telling you to hate these angels, just...be careful. Angels of the light are especially cautious around them, since these two elements are natural enemies, though some have broken the barrier and have had relationships.

So anyway, welcome to the School of the Divine! Enjoy your enrollment as much as you can.

ELEMENTS:

Fire: Control over the element of Fire. You can either use nearby fire or create your own. The more experienced/older you are, the more fire you can control.

Water: Control over the element of Water. These angels are also able to control blood, but this rarely helps since this blood needs to be outside the body, and very little can be used at a time. The more experienced/older you are, the more water/blood you can use

Wind: Control over the element of Air. You can create strong wisps of wind; enough to easily knock someone off their feet and crush them with pressure. These angels can also fly faster.

Electricity: Control over Electricity. You can collect any kinetic energy that is in the area and turn it into strong electricity; enough to create large bolts.

Ice: Ability to control the element of ice. You are able to take any water cells in the air around you and freeze them, along with freezing any liquid. You can also shape this ice into weapons.

Earth: You can take chunks of the ground below you, from pebbles to large chunks of land. You can also make these chunks float in the air, and you can ride them through the air instead of flying.

Flora: You can control any plant life. Either you can make it grow and shrink, or you can make them attack others.

Darkness: Ability to control Darkness. You are able to take concentrated dark energy to make weapons. You can also shoot bursts of concentrated dark energy. They can bend and move this darkness into any way they please. You are also able to dissolve into dark shadows for a short period of time. Your wings are pitch black.

Light: Ability to control Light. Basically the same power as Darkness. You are able to take concentrated light energy and turn it into a solid, powerful weapon, including swords and floating spikes that can be thrown in the air. You can also shoot bursts of concentrated light energy. They can bend and transform this light any way they please. These angels' wings are also very discernible; they shine with extreme whiteness, and have a white glow around them when it's dark.

WINGS

-Wings are not to be heavily colored; an off-white or silver is fine, but white and black are the two main colors. I don't want to see any bright pink or rainbow wings.

-Wings cannot be retracted, only folded under a bit.

-Angels' wings convey almost all of their body language; they can communicate their emotions and thoughts by how they hold them, twitching them, flapping them, and the like.

Personality: Being an angel of Light, Eve feels a certain responsibility for maintaining order in the school. She also bears a instinctive resentment of Darkness Angels, though she tries hard to hide it. Eve can seem rather strict and intimidating; however she tends to be very casual and funny most of the time. Eve has been in a couple fights before, but only because she was provoked by her natural enemy, a Darkness Angel. Due to these altercations, Eve is a bit paranoid, and usually has a few tiny Light daggers floating in the air around her just in case. She'll tend to be flirtatious sometimes, but she is surprisingly unaware of this; she could be embarrassingly romantic and have no clue that she is.
