Not a Unova native, moving there at the age of 4 from Lavaridge. Her parents moved there after her father got a job as a research assistant for Professor Juniper. This is also how Leona got her first two pokémon, Willow and Oak. There she attended the elementary Trainer’s School in Striaton, but once she turned 17 she asked her father to move her to the new Pokémon Academy. She hatched Maple from an egg she got from an adventuring trainer. Due to not being able to travel too much the only battle training she ever got was the annual Accumula Tournament, which she is a champion of two years running now, and her part-time job as a gym trainer in the Striaton City Gym in the summer.
Personality:
A cool girl, able to enjoy a good joke, even some of the more perverted ones; saying a fair few herself. Though she’s not very girly, she’s not a tomboy either, preferring the balance between the two, allowing her to blend into almost any group. She doesn’t really hate anyone, but neither does she form massively close bonds, staying a mate rather than a friend. She’s not very committed to most things, other than raising her team and battling.

Pokemon 1: Oak (Scraggy) ♂ Adamant - Moxie
Swagger, Brick Break, Faint Attack, Zen Headbutt, Hi Jump Kick, Crunch
The badass of the team, tends to pick a lot of fights, and wins most of them. Doesn’t like many people or pokémon, other than Leona and his team mates. Though he’s a little annoying to most people, his partners have mostly gotten used to it. For some inexplicable reason he puts on sunglasses when using Swagger.
Pokemon 2: Willow (Shiny Litwick) ♀ Sassy - Flash Fire
Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power(Grass), Telekinesis, Heat Wave, Flash
Always two seconds from making a sarcastic remark. She likes making fun of people, for which she usually pays for, big time. She especially enjoys scaring people by hiding her body and only showing her flame. Though she’s not much of a show off she loves fighting people that match her strength, or are even stronger.
Pokemon 3: Maple (Trapinch) ♀ Relaxed - Hyper Cutter
Crunch, Bulldoze, Dig, Façade, Protect, Bug Bite
She’s a pretty chill girl, not caring much for moving at all. Though she’s not really interested in fighting she’s really powerful and a particularly good scrapper, preferring to go in close and executing a few well placed moves to ensure that her enemies don’t stand up after.
