Wicked Witch Of The North
Wheel of Time RPG--Bitter Innocence--OOC Thread
When a girl is discovered to be able to channel it is a joyful event, some superstitious pheasants might think otherwise but that girl will have a lifespan several times that of a normal woman, and if she is strong enough both in the Power and and in character she can become an Aes Sedai and live a life of prestige and luxury not to mention that she will be able to do what normal people can not, perhaps heal the sick, or protect her homeland against the Shadow, yes every female channeler is a blessing from the Creator, the same can however not be said for the unfortunate men who receive the same gift. Where female channelers live long, healthy lives male channelers are slowly driven insane by the Dark One's taint on the male side of the Source, and should they survive their insanity a slow and painful death await them as their bodies waste away while they are still alive. Evey female channeler is a blessing, but every male is a curse.
The most tragic thing about male channelers however is not their early deaths or the terrible illness that will wreck their bodies, no those terrors pale compared to have the powers that a channeler is gifted with in the hands of a madman. Once such men broke the world, they boiled the sea, smashed cities and tore up new rivers, and those rivers ran red with blood. The Sisterhood of the Aes Sedai have many duties, but most important among them is the duty to hunt down male channelers before they can do any damage. For the men captured by the Aes Sedai await a fate worse than death, perhaps worse than the illness that would eventually claim them to, but at least the world will be kept safe.
Every few years a man who can channel surfaces and the White Tower send out an expedition after them, some of these men proclaim themselves and become false dragons, they start wars and leave death and destruction in their wake as they try to attain a destiny that was never meant to be theirs, but more tragically are the male channelers who never go to such lengths, the ones the Wheel have given a horrible gift and who is only trying to survive, however even these innocents will one day be monsters and it is the Aes Sedai's solemn duty to make sure that never happens. Currently a male channeler have been spotted in the village of Damelien in Andor, where a young man used what had to be The Power to save a young child from a burning building. The young man off course fled the scene, but now the Tower is sending out an expedition to investigate the matter.
Welcome to this Wheel of Time RPG, as you can see above the concept for this game is that the player characters are part of a hunting expedition that is going after a male channeler. You can play any kind of character that will fit with this concept, perhaps the most logical choice is to play and Aes Sedai but you can also play a warder, a soldier, a mercenary or anyone else who might possibly be part of such an expedition. Your character can be an unlikely one, like for example a wolf brother soldier, but it have to be possible within the confines of the setting.
You can play as many characters as you like and is able to keep up with. I will not be using stats for this RPG but do not make godlike character, keep things reasonable.
This will be a high casual game meaning that while there is absolutely no problem if you have some grammar or spelling errors, I have plenty of them, I expect posts to be at least one paragraph, I get that writing two or three paragraphs can be a bit much for many and that is not necessary but please do avoid one liners. Other than that respect other players, try to let me know if you are going to be absent from the game for a while and generally have fun.
To play in this RP you will need some knowledge of the Wheel of Time setting, but you do not need to have read all of the books. If you have read one book or if you have played the table top RPG or the computer game or read up on the setting on Wikipedia or other places then you should know enough to play. If you have any questions just post them here or PM me.

We are going to be playing 200 years before the start of the books, this will give us a time period exactly as it is in the books with only minor differences, but it will also give us some wriggle space to create our own story and not bump into the cannon story of the books constantly.

Wicked Witch Of The North
Name: Caoilainn Emera
Nationality: Caoilainn was born in Caemlyn the Capitol of Andor.
Role: Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah
Channeling: Caoilainn is a channeler of about average to a bit over average strength for a woman. Her strongest element is Fire which is unusual for a woman, her second strongest element is Spirit with Earth and Water being weak and Air being Caoilainn weakest power.
Talents: Caoilainn have a very weak Dreaming ability.
Appearance: Caoilainn is a slender woman of slightly below average height, she have a heart shaped face with a sharp chin and large dark brown eyes. The woman's skin is fair and her hair like with so many of Andor's citizens of low birth is dark brown almost black. Caoilainn keep her hair long but she braid it up into complicated buns so few ever get to see it's length. The young Red Sister prefer to wear practical but elegant dresses of good wool and linen, and usually she will dress in red. Caoilainn likes hematites and will often wear jewelry made of this stone. Caoilainn might seam stern when you see her from a distance but if you get to know her and get past the walls she put up around herself she is a kind woman with an easy smile and is easy to talk with. Caoilainn have just begun to get Aes Sedai ageless features, her appearance do not scream Aes Sedai yet but it is hard to pin down how old she is.
Personality: Caoilainn is a warm and kind woman, she cares for those around her, she have a sense of justice what would have compelled her to join the Blue Ajah but Caoilainn feel that her background give her a duty to be a Red. The young Aes Sedai is emotional, she is both quick to anger and quick to show compassion and she do not always manage to stay serene and aloof, she have an easy smile and kind eyes. Caoilainn may be compassionate but she can be like steel when it comes to doing what have to be done, the young Red Sister have made it her duty to go after male channelers and she will do her best to help bring them in, even if her heart breaks for them as she do so. In a way the reason why the young Aes Sedai is so eager to go after male channelers is to justify for herself what she did to her brother, if brining in male channelers is wrong that would mean she betrayed Corren and that is something Caoilainn can not accept, admit or live with. Caoilainn is very intelligent but at times she is to impulsive and act before she thinks.
Bio: Caoilainn was born the daughter of a cobbler and his wife, her family was poor but not so poor as to not be able to provide food and housing for her and her older brother Corren. The first years in Caoilainn's life was safe and happy, she remember playing around her mother's skirts as she tended the family's small home during the day and sitting on her father's lap and listening to his tales of wonder and adventure in the evenings. The Emera household was not rich in earthly good but it was rich in love.
Caoilainn might have grown up to be just like her mother, perhaps she would have been a servant girl for some lord, or perhaps she would help out in a fish monger's stall until she marries and became a goodwife, but the Wheel wanted it differently, when Caoilainn was six years old her parents died in an accident where a bridge collapsed under their carriage as they where going to visit friends in the countryside, suddenly Caoilainn and her brother was left alone to fend for themselves, they had no relatives and none of the family's friends where willing to take them in. Caoilainn could have ended up begging in the gutter but her brother, even if little more than a child himself stepped up and managed to eke out a living for himself and his sister, life was not always easy but Corren did his best to take care of Caoilainn and she never vent hungry or cold, and every time she fell her brother was there to pick her up, in many ways Corren became Caoilainn's whole world.
Six years passed for the cobbler's children, Caoilainn was starting to become a young woman and Corren was almost a man at seventeen. One day everything was fine, the next day Corren came to his sister with fear in his eyes and told her to pack what she needed, they had to run. Caoilainn had learned to trust her bother so she did as she was told and soon the two of them was on the road, Corren had used what little saved up coins they had to buy two horses. Only a few days after they had left Caemlyn did Corren tell his sister what was wrong, he could channel and Aes Sedai had found out about it, he had seen a group of them asking questions and trying to narrow down who the suspect might be. Caoilainn was shocked to hear what her brother was, but she trusted him so much that she said she did not care, Corren was a kind and good man and he did not deserve to be punished for something that was not his fault, something he was just born with.
For three years Caoilainn and her brother traveled from town to town, never staying in one place long enough for the Aes Sedai to get an inkling of where Corren might be, the siblings did odd jobs and life on the road was not bad however Caoilainn started to become more and more concerned for her brother, in the beginning she had been amazed at what he could do and he would entertain her by having fire dancing over the palm of his hand or drawing metal and gems up from the Earth itself and shape it into trinkets for her, but as time went by Corren became more and more dark of mind, he begun talking to himself, paranoia overtook him and he saw enemies everywhere and he got that terrible anger. What really scared Caoilainn was when Corren got a sore on his leg that would not heal, a score that only festered and got deeper day by day. Caoilainn one day asked her brother why he did not surrender, she had learned enough to the world to know the Aes Sedai would not kill him, yes he would lose his channeling ability and it was a magnificent ability indeed, but was it not better to live a normal man than to die a channeler? Corren had then placed his hand on his sister's shoulder and looked at her with those kind, brown eyes and said that she could not understand, no one who was not a channeler themselves could understand, but he knew he could not live without the Power, not because it let him do things a normal man could not, but because those abilities was an essential part of him, a part he could not bare to lose. Corren said that he would rather die complete than to live half a man, deep down Caoilainn knew she should have listened to her brother, but back then the idea of loosing Corren was to daunting...and so she betrayed him.
The Emera siblings was passing not to far from Caemlyn and Caoilainn knew she would find Aes Sedai within the city so one day she drugged her brother by putting herbs in his food that would make him sleep and she rode into Caemlyn and alerted the Aes Sedai to what her brother was and where he was, when Corren came to he found himself shielded, bound and in the hands of those he feared the most.
Caoilainn thought she would get her brother back, that he would be like he was before he started channeling, or at least that he would not sink any deeper into madness, that once all of the unpleasantness was over it would be back to just her and her brother again, they could settle down and start their lives over, off course that was not what happened. Caoilainn was invited to join the group of Aes Sedai who where dragging her brother to Tar Valon, they had discovered that the girl while she did not have an inborn spark to channel like he brother she could learn, Caoilainn off course would have it no other way, she would not leave her brother alone.
Long weeks passed as the group of Caemlyn based Aes Sedai took Corren and his sister to the White Tower, Caoilainn remember well her brother's terror and how it grew worse for every day closer to Tar Valon they got. Caoilainn tried to console her brother but it did not help, one day the young man even begged his sister to kill him if the women that held him captive ever looked away for a moment, to not let the Aes Sedai do to him what they where planning. Caoilainn's heart broke at seeing her brother in such distress but she could not understand it, how could he love his ability to channel more than life itself, why was he so afraid, the young girl assumed that once it was all over her brother would get used to being a normal man again. Finally the party arrived at Tar Valon Caoilainn was taken to be written into the novice book and Corren was taken to the dungeons, a few days later he was gentled.
Caoilainn had not believed that what the Aes Sedai did to her brother would cause him so much pain, but as Aes Sedai, Accepted and Novices stood around the Traitor's Court and watched a circle of thirteen lead by the Amyrlin herself do their duty and weave that most feared of weaves Corren fell to the ground screaming. Caoilainn wanted to rush to her brother's side but she was held back by The Mistress of Novices and was forced to watch Corren be carried away, still screaming in agony, for a moment the siblings eyes met across the courtyard and Caoilainn saw in he brother's eyes nothing but bottomless despair.
Two days later Caoilainn was allowed to see her brother, he sat in a bed staring into the wall, tears running down his cheeks. Caoilainn sat there with her brother for several hours, rocking him in her arms, her kind, strong brother was broken now and Caoilainn could not understand why, so many lived without the ability to channel, why did it matter that much to Corren? Caoilainn remember asking the Accepted who kept watch over the former channeler if he would ever get better and the woman just shook her head, that was the first time that Caoilainn realized that what she had done to save her brother had instead condemned him. Caoilainn did however not fully understand what she had done to her brother before three weeks later when that potential living inside of her finally awakened and she channeled for the first time. From the moment Caoilainn tentatively held the Power for the first time, even if it was just for a few seconds before it slipped out of her grasp she understood what it would mean to loose it and she understood how her brother suffered.
Caoilainn cried for several days, how could she ever face her brother again, how could she ever face herself again? The young woman had wanted to help her brother but she had delivered him to a hell worse than death. Caoilainn had at that time decided to leave the Tower, she would stay for as long ad Corren lived to be there for him, but once he died she would sneak away she wanted nothing more to do with Aes Sedai, the young girl however never set her escape plan into motion for and older Red Sister called Teba took the girl under her wing and she told her that once she had been in Caoilainn's shoes, she had a male family member who could channel but she had lacked Caoilainn's courage and allowed her father to go free, as a result the man had proclaimed himself and over ten thousand people had died as a result of his increasingly insane endeavors. Teba said that what the Tower did to male channelers was indeed terrible, but it was necessary, for a male channeler allowed to be free until insanity took him could only mean death and destruction. For Caoilainn Teba Sedai's words became a lifeline, but believing in them even to a fanatical degree she could forgive herself for what she had done to her brother, giving him up to the Aes Sedai had not been betrayal, it had been a heroic act that had saved lives, probably including her own. Caoilainn threw herself into her studies, now all she wanted was to become an Aes Sedai so she could follow in Teba's footsteps and hunt down male channelers, she could do her part to keep the world safe, that is why the Creator had given her the gift of channeling. Soon Caoilainn was a skilled and promising novice with a bright future ahead of her.
Corren lived for only three months after his gentling, one day he got away from the Accepted who was watching over him and he managed to slit his wrist with the broken glass shards from a window. The young man was found to late to try to heal him, on the wall next to where he died Corren had written in his own blood. "I forgive you." Caoilainn mourned her brother, and his final message to her made his death sting even more, but truth to be told Caoilainn was glad when she stood by her brother's funeral pyre, he was not suffering anymore now. Corren Emera was a good man and surly he would be sheltered in the Creator's hand until the Wheel spun him a new life the next age.
After she had been a novice for five years Caoilainn went through the three arches and attained the great serpent ring and became an Accepted, three more years went by before she attained the shawl. In many ways Caoilainn would have been suited for the Blue Ajah, she cared for justice and the rights of the common man, she was willing to risk her own safety and well being to protect others, in fact one of the few serious beatings she had earned as a novice she had gotten when she stepped in front of an Aes Sedai who was beating on a kitchen maid, and physically tried to stop the abuse, not that it had done her much good, but yes Caoilainn had all the makings of a noble Blue but she knew that the only Ajah for her was the Reds and her reason was twofold, one was her near fanatical wish to protect the world against male channelers, and the second was to provide a counter balance to the Reds who often hated the men they where sent to bring in, many male channelers where beaten and abused on their way to the Tower, and some, even if that was never spoken of in other than hushed tones where never brought in but was rather gentled in the field and then either killed or left to die. Caoilainn wanted to do her best to make sure that at least the men she would help bring in would be teated fairly, she owed that to her brother for she knew most of them where not villains, just men cursed with an ability one of their gender should not possess.
Caoilainn have been an Aes Sedai for ten years now, and she is quickly gaining popularity among the Red. Teba is now a Junior Sitter for the Reds and Caoilainn is her protegee. Caoilainn have been involved with two expeditions who have successfully brought in male channelers and she have gained some respect within her Ajah for that, now the world again need the White Tower's protection for while the channeler that is rumored to be in he homeland was seen saving a child, the Light only knows what he will do once insanity takes him, Caoilainn is proud to be chosen to be part of the group that is going after this channeler, she live to do her part to keep society safe from such dangers.
Notes: Caoilainn owns a beautiful dark brown mare named Tatil, the horse is well trained but she is a ladies horse and not a war horse. Caoilainn also own a dagger that Corren made with the Power. Corren did not have the skill that those who made the Warder swords had so his Power wrought steel can loose it's edge, but the blade is of amazing quality, more stunning than the blade however his the hilt, it is set with hematites and show a lady standing under a three, the carving is of such a level of detail that it could not have been done by hand. Caoilainn keep the dagger close for it was made by her brother's channeling and it is a reminder that even if he had an ugly end, part of what he had been was beautiful. Caoilainn is a weak Dreamer, she do not often get prophetic dreams and when she do they are usually hard to decipher but it do happen when the Wheel wills it.

Name: Mahira Tostanya
Nationality: Arafel
Role: Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah
Channeling: Mahira has above average channelling ability, her strength in Saidar is exceptional but only in Earth and Fire which is rare in a woman. She has average ability in spirit and is very weak with air and water.
Talents: N/A
Appearance: Mahira is a tall slender woman with dark almond shaped eyes and delicate features. She wears her long dark hair in lots of small braids and each braid has a small bell attached to the end of it.
Mahira enjoys wearing silk dresses when in the tower but when travelling she prefers woollen dresses often with divided skirts. She mostly wears dark colours such as deep blue, red or dark green. Other than the bells in her hair she wears no other jewellery.
Personality: Mahira comes across as stern and cold in her behaviour. She reveals very little of her true personality to most and has been this way since her family was killed. Underneath this veneer of coldness she is a passionate woman who feels things very deeply. Only those who have gained her trust see the true Mahira however and it takes a great deal of time and patience to do so. If someone does manage to earn her trust then they have her loyalty for life and like most Arafellins Mahira takes loyalty as seriously as honour and duty.
Bio: Mahira was born in one of the watch keeps of Arafel which bordered onto the Blight. Her father was Lord of the watch keep and was a respected and well liked commander. From an early age he taught Mahira how to defend herself with a sword and knife. Though she did not hold much skill for either she learned enough to perhaps keep herself alive if the need arose. Her father would also spend time telling her stories of the borderlands and their constant vigil over the Blight.
Her mother was a fierce and brave woman and Mahira feared her mothers wrath more than her fathers. Most of the time though her mother was kind in her own way, not given to showing her emotions she expressed them in other ways. Ways such showing Mahira how to make the best of her beauty which her mother would often say was considerable. Her mother would speak of it as though it were another weapon in her daughters arsenal. One that should be practised as much as her other skills.
Her life until the age of sixteen was that of a normal borderlander woman, she learned the arts of war and aided the other women in mending clothes and armour and aiding the men in any way they required. As daughter of the commander she was protected of course but she did not shy away from standing atop the wall as the men did. She would insist on sharing the watch with them and thus her fathers men grew to respect her.
On the eve of her sixteenth birthday there was to be a celebration and much feasting and dancing would ensue. Many had come from other watch towers to enjoy the occasion and one of these was a young man that Mahira would come to love. Viran was the son of a nearby watchtower and as was their custom he would stay with Mahira's fathers men for a time before moving on to the next watchtower. All young men did this as a way of meeting and honouring the men who held the vigil.
Viran was as smitten with Mahira as she was with him and for the next two years they were inseparable. Her parents allowed the courtship and viewed it as a good match for their daughter. Six months after turning eighteen she and Viran were due to be married. Unfortunately the Wheel weaves and the Wheel wills and it clearly did not intend for her to marry Viran.
On the day that was to be her wedding day the watchtower was attacked by a horde of Trolloc's and Myrddraal in numbers not having seen in years. The Blight had been more active recently but thus far the men had held the Shadow back. But on that day the Shadow seemed determined to wipe Mahira's home from the face of the world. Though fierce and skilled warriors the men of the watchtower were struck down by the shadow.
Mahira's father refused to leave his post instead ordering Viran to get Mahira to safety. Though Mahira refused and fought Viran physically she was not strong enough to stop him as he fought his way to safety with her. Mahira's last sighting of her family was her father being almost cut in half by a Trolloc's blade and her mother killing it before being fell upon by the horde. Viran managed to get them out of the keep proper and into the land surrounding it.
Believing they were safe they camped for the night at a distance from the keep. Mahira refused all of Viran's efforts to talk or even grieve instead locking it all away inside her in a place so deep she would never have to face it. She could not bear to be near Viran just then and he let her walk a little way from camp sensing her need to be alone. Unfortunately they were not far enough away from the keep and a patrol found their campsite. Mahira heard the sounds of fighting and Viran's agonized screams and knew that she was now truly alone.
Feeling numb from all that had happened Mahira had just enough awareness to instinctively hide from the Shadow spawn. She stayed in her hole cold and alone for days terrified that they would find her. By the time she was found she was almost catatonic from the constant fear. She was found by a party from the neighbouring watchtower who had had their own battle in the last few days. They had lost many men as well but had fared better than her own home. Amongst them was a lone Aes Sedai and her Warder and she immediately sensed Mahira's potential.
Having no home and no family it was decided that mahira be taken to the tower. During the time it took to reach the tower the Aes Sedai attempted to bring Mahira out of her withdrawn state but with no success. It was surprisingly her Warder who managed to bring Mahira back from the brink. Though Shienaren and not Arafellin she recognised his sword techniques which reminded her of her father. When the Warder realised that she was watching his morning exercises he began to talk with her afterwards and gradually Mahira came back to the world.
She was a novice for fifteen years before she passed through the Arches to become Accepted. It took even longer for her to be raised Aes Sedai, mainly because she struggled with her studies constantly trying to push further and harder than she was allowed. She was determined to hone her abilities so that she could hopefully one day aid in destroying the shadow spawn for good. The Green Ajah was the only choice she could make given her unnatural strength in Fire and Earth and her willingness to go into battle.
She has been an Aes Sedai for fifty years and has the smooth agelessness that comes with channelling. She as do all Greens holds herself ready for the Last battle. She is known in her Ajah as a good strategic thinker thanks to her fathers lessons and also someone who keeps their cool under pressure. She is still relatively low however in the ranks of her Ajah.
Because of her apparent calm her superiors have asked her to accompany the expedition to find the male channeler. They would like to ensure that it is done correctly and that the male is not abused in any way as the Ajah has heard disturbing rumours about such practices.
Notes: Mahira rides a male gelding called "Rogue" he is a sturdy, solid animal designed for stamina. He is from her homeland and she considers him a true friend.
Mahira has one Warder, Dain Gemallan a minor Malkierian lord hailing from the borderlands like herself. She first met Dain ten years ago just as he was preparing the leave the tower and return to the Borderlands. It seemed that due to his apparent lacking in swordsmanship he was undesirable as a Warder. Mahira watched him for a time, visiting the training grounds on many occasions, and she began to see that this man had other more useful traits than simply skill with a sword.
Being a Borderlander she recognised his ability for what it was, Dain was a Sniffer something that others in the Tower could not recognise. Mahira had never come across one herself as even in the borderlands they were rare but she knew of them. Sniffers, those with the ability to literally smell violence, can use this ability to track someone or a group by the smell of violence they give off. After watching Dain and seeing his reaction to certain places and how his mood darkened at such times she knew he was one with this ability. She bonded him soon after knowing that such a skill along with his abilities to track, shoot and generally survive in the wilderness would be a great asset to her.
They have been bonded for ten years and as such they have forged a strong friendship based on mutual understanding and trust. Mahira is one of the few who understands the reasons for Dain's dark moods and she has learned how to deal with them so that they no longer bother her. She trusts him implicitly and through the bond she knows that Dain trusts her in return as it should be.
Dain is the only one who knows the depths of her hatred for the Shadow and her burning need to exact revenge for the deaths of her family, a pain she has never dealt with and therefore never grieved for. He is also aware that that was her original reason for bonding him as she hoped to use him to aid her in finding and eradicating the shadow wherever it may be.
But in the last decade she has come to rely upon him and her original reason, though still valid, is no longer her primary reason for having him as her Warder. Though she values his skills she also values his ability to understand her as most others do not. Recently Mahira has noticed a deepening of her feelings for Dain becoming more than simply friendship yet she is unsure what, if anything, she should do about them. She has little experience with men and yet also does not want to risk the strong friendship the two of them have.

The Hiphopapotamus
Name: Dain Gemallan
Nationality: Malkier
Role: Warder to Mahira, Minor Malkierian Lord.
Talents: Sniffer (Important to note that this skill is largely unknown even in The Dragon's age of turmoil two hundred year into the future, as such Daine knows very little about his ill-fated skill and certainly hasn't the experience demonstrated by Hurin who is capable of differentiating the level of violence or the type of violence commited and as such the difference between each individuals trail should similarly timed trails cross. Fortunately Daine can determine when an act of violence was commited making ancient battlefields present but also redundant to his sniffing skills. It should also be noted that if your not a borderlander you probably won't have heard of this rare skill which is not mentioned in any historical or common lore of any country thus far in any fictional Wheel of Time canon lore).
Appearance:
Age: 30
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 195-200lbs (Sorry team I'm pretty bad with pounds if someone has a better estimate of the body type discribed below don't be afraid to correct me.)
Hair: Dark Brown.
Eyes: Dark Brown
Build: Healthy Athletic.
Dain appears to be physically fit by the usual standards but also has the slim but distinguishable layer of fat that would indicate a healthy diet (no washboard abs for this dude ladies and gents
). Many would consider Dain ruggedly handsome others would deem his face too harsh and angular, whatever the individuals opinion none would disagree on Daines demeanor which is one of modest confidence especially in outdoor settings, As mentioned Dain's confidence increases in outdoor settings and his physical features reflect this fact, Dain is tanned, masculine with an undeniable animalistic energy. Dain also has the quiet grace befitting any true Warder lending him the sometimes disconcerting presence of a stalking predator, fortunately he has developed an alternate gait to prevent identification. Although physically large Daine has a surprisingly natural aptitude for the covert which complements well with his particular fighting style. Prefering lighter leather armor over chain or plate mail armors typical of Malkier warriors and Warders, Daine does don the Hadori as Malkierian tradition demands and wears the Fancloth Cloak typical of Warders when appropriate.
Personality:
Dynamic is the word that would best describe Daines temperament, while it may be typical for him to be the amiable, energetic, and well humoured woodsman his personality will change as the situation progresses, too the silent menacing Warder, too the dark brooding scout and the temperate minor lord, the casual eye would attribute this behaviour to a bipolar disorder but his direct family and his Aes Sedai mistress know better. While Daine is a accomplished player when the situation demands his dark moods are all too real and are a product of his haughting gift, as the residue violence consumes him so does a dark mood eat at his personality, this can be a double edged sword in that the business of tracking the target can be done quicker due to Daines illgained focus but it will also make him a less likeable traveling mate especially when his gift is left unexplained. Usually easy going Daine is also respecful and traditional and expects the same in the others he travels with, as such while he may let a accurate personal criticisim towards his mistress or any other Aes Sedai slide he'll tolerate no disrespect towards the position or authority they represent this also extends to other positions of authority recognised in Malkier, the Borderlands and Tar Valon itself. Presentable in noble society with all the social niceties expected of a minor Malkierian lord Daine holds no distain or arrogance towards the common man which is not uncommon for a noble native to the borderlands were practicality rules over tradition or at least affects tradition by necessity.
Although a Warder with all the training that entails Daine would still only be considered a middling swordsman at best, capable of besting most swordsman one-on-one short of the Heron marked masters, he would however soon falter under extended assault from multiple assailants despite their skill level. If any one attribute could single Daine out it's his advanced skills with a bow, this suits the function his mistress requires of him as a highly accomplished tracker and scout being both typically trained and mystically endowed. In short Daine while still a true warrior, is not a rank and file soldier or a unassaliable Battlelord from legends but a usefull man to have around all the same.

Born the fourth son too a fifth son in the Gemallan citadel of Malkier, Daine was afforded the training and tutelage befitting any Malkierie Battlelord, horse and sword, statesmanship and language, history and music consumed his earlier years, this of course conflicted with his wild nature and eventually began to feel more like a prison then preparation. As was common for the borderlands a Trolloc raid soon came and shattered childish fancies of war and glory, not only had the defeated trollocs left a trail of blood and bodies for the warriors to follow but a foul stench that consumed young Dain's waking hours making the once jolly free spirited child a vision of depression and darkness. The uncomprehensible smell continued for another year and a half before Dain could train himself to ignore it's stench and the multitude of other violent occurances that now seemed to happen everywhere, although his direct family knew and believed Dain's condition was all to real there was little they could do to help, except find another who could, and in answer to this responsibility they petitioned a known family member within the Aes Sadai order to come see and perhaps accept a now 15 year old Dain in the White Towers Warder program.
Noble by birth and blood Dain was never likely to inherit a true title and land so moving on into the White tower service was not only a valid Borderlander decision but a decision that could suit Dain's personality with the possibility of adventure. The day came when Errin Sadai formally Errin Gemallan came for Daine and found him worthy of service and so Dain's warrior training continued in the Tar Valon but sadly his poor swordsmanship made for a less desireable Warder match. He was twenty and prepared to leave the White Towers serves and return to his homeland and become a border scout when another borderlander named Mahira Sadai recognised his talents and curse for what they were and accepted him as her Warder. They have been travelling and bonded for ten years now and their partnership is as strong as any Aes Sadai and her bonded Warder could hope for.
Notes: Has a large War-trained dappled mare named Caba or "horse" in the Old Tongue, her specific training, build, and colouring make her a excellent scouting horse, quick, camouflaged and reliable in a pinch. He usually carries on his person the wares of any scout worth his salt, flint, a dagger, a bow and his sword and while he may prefer leather armor he'll frequently forgo it's use in favor of a disguise.

Wicked Witch Of The North
Nice character as soon as he gets a bio he will be approved. What I suggest is that we wait a little while and see if another player make your character's Aes Sedai mistress, and if none do then I will go ahead and make a secondary character. I can make such a character immediately if you rather want that, I just think it might be a nice connection to another player character if anyone else want that role.

Id like Daine to be my warder pas, Mahira has feelings for her warder and id like something to come of that. So its up to you if you want to take that on.
It would be awesome if you did though!

If yes, ignore the warders name in my bio.
