It was about time to head in, or so Dylan figured. He finished off his Doritos and began to lumber towards the building. The boy was in no hurry, obviously. His dirty shoes scraped along the sidewalk until they reached the linoleum floor of the school. Dylan set his purple backpack down by his locker as he worked the lock. He often forgot the combination, so he just twisted the little dial until it opened. It seemed that luck was on his side today.

The lock popped and Dylan grabbed his books and dumped them into his bag. The contents of his backpack were simply: 50% munchies, 10% illegal drugs, 20% trash and empty wrappers, 10% school related items. Dylan slung the worn bag onto his shoulder and slunk down the hallway. He stopped a few times to talk to some of his bros, and once to stare at this really awesome fiber optic lamp that a teacher had sitting on his desk for about fifteen minutes. How did they get those little beads of light to change color like that? Fucking magical.

'Sorry, I just didn't want to see someone.' Ellen explained to Luko. It had appeared to be a guy see was hiding from an naturally Luko assumed he was the father of Ellen's child. He decided to keep his mouth shut though. It was none of his business

'I'm in maths next.' groaned Luko with a roll of his eyes. He noticed Ellen was carrying heavy books. Hadn't anybody offered to give her a hand? 'Here let me get those.' he insisted taking the books from her 'What you in? I'll walk you and your textbooks too your classroom.' he wasn't even going to give her a chance to protest.

Ellen smirked when Luko rolled his eyes and groaned about having math next. Most people didn't like Math, she didn't even like math but she was able to understand it. It just took to much time to figure the problems out, which Ellen didn't want to waste her time trying to find the stupid x. All of sudden, her books were pulled out of her arms and Luko offered or more like ordered that he would walk her to her classroom. She smiled softly. "Thanks and I have math too." She explained.

Ellen was glad that Luko offered to carry her books, her arms didn't feel as heavy as her stomach now. Mikael finally stopped kicking and calmed down, so Ellen stopped rubbing her stomach and so she started to walk towards the math classroom; which of course had to be upstairs. "Eh, stairs. My worst enemy." She groaned. It wasn't hard for Ellen to climb the stairs, it just took her longer than most people, and she had to reach back to hold her pants up so they wouldn't slip down. Ellen also hoped that her teachers remembered to have a table and chair for her, because she wouldn't be able to sit in the normal student desks.

"Still having some problems with your sister?" She casually asked Luko. It really wasn't Ellen's business but she wanted to fill the silence between them about anything and not walk to math class in complete awkward silence.

Luko recalled Ellen was in his maths class last year. They hadn't really spoke much however, he'd only really known her by reputation, which before she was pregnant had been the 'tough girl'.

He felt bad as Ellen appeared to struggle to climb the staircase. He leaned forward to help her but then quickly leaned back again. Perhaps, if he did she'd feel he was being to
forward. He wasn't meaning to come across that way. In his opinion everyone should be doing there best to help someone who had the courage to attend school nine months pregnant.

Luko froze when Ellen asked about Amelia. At first he was surprised Ellen knew her. Amelia was a sophomore but then he remembered the hideous reputation his sister had gained. 'my sister...' he was a little lost for words. He didn't like to talk about his problems. 'she's having a hard time right now.'

Amelia strode along the corridor, she was going to be late to her first period science class. Oh fuck it. She was failing anyway.

'Slut.' a girl called to Amelia. She smirked lazily, one corner of her mouth rising ever so slightly. Any attention was welcomed, good or bad.

The weed was taking effect already and Amelia felt care free and sleepy. He was craving cheese and nacho's however. Cheese and nachos was her ideal muchies food.

Ellen glanced towards Luko when he leaned forward towards her but leaned back, she smiled softly. "I won't bite." She teased him with a soft giggle. Though she frowned lightly when he froze than nodded her head when he said she was having a hard time. She knew about Amelia's reputation, it wasn't the best one, but it was like most of the students here. Ellen chewed on her bottom lip as she thought to herself for a little while. Finally, she was standing on top of the stairs, she sighed in relief. Going down the stairs won't be as bad as going up. She started to head towards the Math class that wasn't far away.

Ellen looked back to Luko with a sweet smile. "If you want, I can talk to your sister some time and see if I can talk some sense into her?" She offered. Ellen opened the math door, stepped inside, and started to walk towards her own personal desk. "Thanks again, for carrying my books." She smiled at Luko as she took the books from him, pulled the chair out, and sit down slowly, that probably looked awkward to most people. Ellen was so glad that this would be her last year and that at any time she would give birth to Mikael, it would be nice to not feel like a bloated whale anymore.

I won't bite. Luko chucked at Ellen's comment but he felt a little embarrassed she had noticed him lean forward to help her. She puased at the top of the stairs and Luko stopped with her.

'You'd be wasting your time.' Luko sighed in reply to Ellen's offer about talking to Amelia. Ellen certainly didn't deserve his sisters harsh tongue.'And I'll carry your books for you anytime, just hit me up.' Luko grinned and followed Ellen into the maths class. Cool. They where in the same maths again this year.

He took his seat and throw his books down on the table. He put his elbows on the table and rested his head on his hands trying his best to concentrate but his teachers words sounded like gibberish to him, giving him a headache.

Ellen looked behind her were Luko was sitting, he looked like he was having trouble concentrated. She bite her bottom lip before she looked back forward, she took a piece of paper out of her notebook, and started to write on it with her pink pen. She felt like she would owe Luko with helping her with carrying her books, so she would do two things for her, though the first one she would be doing mostly for his sister's sake. Once Ellen was done writing, she folded it up, and once the teacher wasn't looking, she reached back, and handed Luko the note.

'You shouldn't underestimate my powers. You never know, I might be able to talk some sense into your sister, I've had to talk to someone else that was like your sister, and they finally realized everything. Amelia may have a harsh tongue, but I have a harsher one. Also, if you are having trouble with Math, I can tutor you; just don't tell anyone! People already are losing their fear for me.'

Rose had found her locker and was emptying her school bag out into it when James showed up. James was her neighbor. He was a really nice kid. It wasn't often you found someone nice around here. To top it off, he was really cute.
She recalled having a crush on him in middle school. It was still ongoing.

"Hey James,"She replied, pulling a light tote bag over her shoulder. She found it easier to lug around in the halls than the bag she brought her books to school in. It could be considered strange but Rose considered it practical. "How are you?"Rose asked as casually as she could.

A blush rose in her cheeks as it did whenever he was around. He had pretty much been her first crush. Rose remembered liking a boy named Luko on and off but she never brought herself to talk to him like she could to James.

"You're taking chemistry too, right?"She inquired and took a bite out of a nutrigrain bar. Rose shut her locker and turned to him. "I heard they give a lot of homework."

Luko paused to consider the not Ellen had written him. She wasn't going to get anywhere with his sister. He'd been trying for over a year but anything was worth a try. A tutor for maths would be beyond fantastic but he ran a hand through his longish hair, worried. Ellen couldn't be far off giving birth and he didn't want to take up any of her time and energy.

I don't underestime you at all, I just know Amelia but if you want to give it a try I'm not going to stop you. I admit I really need a maths tutor, I'm epically failing but you don't have to go out of your way to help me. Think about it if your 100% sure it's not to much trouble let me know where and when. Your secrets safe with me 'Not So Tough Girl'

Luko scribbled his reply on the back of the piece of paper Ellen had given him and when the teachers back was turned passed it back too her.
