Aliens: Frozen Hell

In the spirit of the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines, coming out next year


A terraforming colony on LV-581 has stopped giving its monthly reports to its Weyland Yutani overlords, and they "petition" the USCM to send in a platoon to check it out, the marines aren't even briefed on the planet they're going to. LV-581 is a hellish ball of ice with a red dwarf for a sun, if the sub zero temperatures don't kill you, then the howling 150 mph winds will, the only shelter is the hollowed out portions of the planet where the titanic ice worms have been (massive, mean, deadly, and carnivorous ice worms at that) and the colony. However, the marines must choose: die by the hellish weather conditions and local lifeforms on the planet, or by the Xenomorphs that infest the colony complex.

yeah, this RP is going to be based on the unfairness and unpredictability of life in the Aliens franchise

ummm... Fox weren't the first people to do Alien vs Predator, it was actually started as a comic series by Darkhorse just before Predator 2 was released, and if you look closely in the film, when he's in the Predator ship and looking at all of the trophies, one of them is a Xenomorph skull.

then there were the books and then the Sega Saturn game and apparently there were action figures, and then, about 15ish years after it all started, then the movie came.

so Fox had nothing to do with the creation or success of Alien Vs Predator. but i understand that i'm not allowed a Predator.

Well, yeah, I did see the skull, but at that point it was treated as an Easter egg, Darkhorse has crossovers of EVERYTHING, so the reason why I blame Fox for the travesty of combining the two because it owns the franchises
