This is a reboot of a roleplay I started a very long time ago, but I rather enjoyed it and
I've been requested to start it back up again. I have completely remodeled it, but the concept is the same. Spanish Court Intrigue. To those whom were in it previously, you may use the same character or create a completely new one. I hope to gain some solid Romantic Fanatics, because that's what makes this juicy and fun.

The Spanish Courts, a treasure trove of romance, deceit, drama, violence, and pain. Where you find a lifelong partner, or a season long lover. A best friend or worst enemy. It is all up to you. Who will be your intrigue?

Perhaps you can even catch the eye of the Queen Consort or the King Aguilar. Who knows? So come, fill the courts, and don't forget to dress nicely.

The Rules
-I understand a bit of Godmod, sometimes it is what moves things along. Just don't do it more than a few times.
-Make sure that the romance is mutual
-Keep cursing to a tasteful level please
-Be cordial and respectful to the others. We want all drama to stay in the IC
-Please respond to all posts that are related to yours, and read all the posts to make sure that you aren't missing anything
-Keep everything Pg-13, unless you take things to PMs.
-Please have only 3 characters max. You can have fewer, but no more.
-Please post at least a paragraph. I count a paragraph as 5-7 sentences. I am lenient on this, seeing as though there are circumstances that may not allow you to do as such. But I DO NOT tolerate 1-liners.

When she was about 12, she was playing with her brother when a barn fire broke out, caused by his playing with fire. Both she and Francisco were scolded, for being so reckless, but since her older brother Anthony had rescued Francisco, she idolized and clung to Anthony.

He tends to hold an optimistic outlook on life, despite his occupation as courtesan, but he is bitter about his own past somewhat. Taught to be charming, witty, and business smart with clients. He sometimes teases people without meaning to. When his kind and inquisitive nature peak through, which is more often then he'd like, he finds himself helping others and trying his hardest to learn more about them.

Most of his life he had lived in a countryside town with his parents, but nearing his late teens he decided to leave and seek his fortune in the city. Unfortunately for him, a country bumpkin like himself could hardly hold down a job in the city…but luckily (well, kind of?), instead of falling into a beggar’s life, he was picked up to be a courtesan because of his good looks. He was taught the tricks of the trade, along with how to conduct himself around both the poor and the rich, how to handle both large and small sums of money in his hands, how to hold his liquor, and how to do several entertaining tricks. Wears female servant clothing, bandages hands and feet, no shoes. When disguised as a man, she wears bandages over all exposed skin and hair, and layers of male servant clothing.

Background: A runaway who escaped her home country and an arranged marriage she didn’t want part in, and now stays at the nunnery at the mercy of the nuns. She often disguises herself as a man to find work in the city as a labourer, so she can help support the nuns who have helped her out, and has many scars on her hands from hard work. At the moment a nobleman is accusing her of being a witch, since she rejected his offer to be his mistress. She is a skilled brawler, and knows some “magic” tricks.

Personality: Tomboyish, active, cautious but polite.

Appearance: Juliet has flowing brown hair that cascades down her back, though she often wears it in a tight bun while attending court, only letting it down when she is alone or in close company. Her skin is a pale white, contrasting to her dark hair, and unusual for the amount of time she has spent in Spain. Her lips are a deep shade of red, also contrasting her skin tone. Her eyes are a bright blue.

Background: Juliet comes from a fairly wealthy family, the youngest child of the Maxwell family, though it is of very low noble status. Her family made numerous attempts to marry her older siblings into a more noble family, but with poor results. Juliet was different however. Her mother taught her in the ways of deception and sexuality to get what she wanted and Juliet garnered much attention from potential suitors. Eventually, at her coming of age ball when she was 16, she was approached by a Duke, more than twice her age. She flirted with him and used all of her wiles to seduce him. By the end of the year he had proposed marriage. It was just what her family had always wanted as they were invited to the court.
However Juliet was incredibly unhappy. Her husband paid her little attention, having only married her to assuage rumours of his sexuality, he spent every night not with his wife, but with the stable-hand. Eventually the Duke sent Juliet to live far away, a decision she was grateful for. She has spent the past three years living in Spain and attending the Spanish Court, as an ambassador of the British Court. Free from the shackles of her husband she is looking to put her feminine wiles to good use once more to entice a young Spanish nobleman and take him as her new husband.

Personality: Juliet knows exactly how to read people and how to manipulate them into getting what she wants. She uses her sexuality and promiscuity to her advantage. No longer having to worry about wealth or nobility, she now seeks someone who she can have fun with.

Background: Anatolii was born to a lovely couple, both of noble descent, however thin their blue blood may be. Said to be distant relatives to the fallen Romonov’s, his mother and father were both related, though Anatolii hadn’t heard of this until after they’d passed. When Anatolii was 14, his mother had long been ill, and died peacefully in her bed. Unable to deal with his loss, Anatolii’s father took his own life, leaving their only son in charge of their land and estate. Though he has struggled a great deal since his parents passing, he has managed their estates quite well, managing to keep his head well above water. However, he soon began to feel life becoming lonely; to court a Russian woman never proved simple. For a change in pace, Anatolii purchased a stretch of land in rural Spain. Not long after his arrival, an invitation came from the King himself, not only welcoming him to Spain, but inviting him to the courts.

Personality: Anatolii can seem quite stiff, having conditioned himself to act as a man in his position should; he does as is expected, when it is expected. However, he wishes nothing more than to be able to break lose, something he has virtually never done. His purpose is to keep up appearances, as far as he sees. Despite his slightly grim outlook on his existence, deep down Anatolii is a very heart-felt individual. Anatolii often struggles with being able to express his emotions, though his music projects them very well. At a young age, Anatolli took both violin and cello lessons, and he has become quite good. He is also quite a good dancer, though he is only trained in traditional Russian dance styles. He also dabbles in writing… but, he’s not very good. Anatolii doesn’t have much of a temper, and can keep very calm in the most stressful of situations; however, when violence is involved, he is always quick to step in and defend the attacked. He has a very strong sense of right and wrong. When it comes to the topic of sex, Anatolii always tries to avoid it, and gets quickly embarrassed when it is mentioned.

Background: Siobahn was born to a peasant mother, but her father is not only a landowner, but also owns several successful taverns and breweries. Siobahn wasn’t raised like the average child of a landowner, she was raised to respect the poor, and not take money for granted by her mother, a very gentle young woman. Her father, though he may be just as sweet as her mother, has a horrible drinking problem, but she loves him all the same. Up until now, Siobahn has been very sheltered as a result of her father’s worry. She was kept away from boys, drinking, and the like. Most of her time growing up was spent reading and attending church. However, her father’s choices may not have been the best; as soon as she turned thirteen and got a taste of the real world, she became addicted. Her mother is her escort, having left her father behind, in lieu of him attempting to prohibit men from speaking to her.
Personality: Siobahn prides herself in both her looks, and her intelligence. She is quite well-versed in many things, and surprisingly eloquent for such a young girl. Mentally, she is far beyond her years. Despite this, Siobahn has quite the rebellious streak, though she doesn’t see it that way; she sees it as living life to its fullest. She is never afraid to offend, nor to get dirty; as it stands now, she could care less what others think of her, or where her future may lead, as long as she’s happy. Siobahn is bluntly honest, and ignores many social expectations. Siobahn also possesses quite a temper, though she does her best to keep it under control, as it often lands her in more trouble than her tactlessness. Regardless, Siobahn is never one to turn down a fight.

Her mother’s parents, upon discovering that their daughter had wed a baker, were outrage, and demanded an immediate divorce. Rosalia’s parents denied this request. But after some time, and harsh convincing, Marie and Antoine were forced to live in separate households. Rosalia spent her childhood days travelling from Paris to Versailles. Growing tired of traversing France, Rosalia decided to live with her grandparents, which is when she first met Levi, her half-brother from her mother’s side.

Rosalia lived with her grandparents for 6 years until they just recently passed away. She and Levi are supposed to inherit their mother’s immense fortune. But considering that their mom is sickly and cannot make her own decisions, Rosalia is desperately trying to convince her mom that she is more deserving of the inheritance that Levi.

Personality: Cold, demeaning. Dominant and competitive; likes to have the upper hand. She is very manipulative. Defensive and protective, often leading her to get jealous easily. Rosalia has a tendency to distrust others. Passionate, yet cruel. Not arrogant or vain, nor is she stuck up or spoiled.

He subsequently moved in with his grandparents, after realizing that his mother was in love with a man besides his father. Levi lived with his grandparents for much of his life, and he, too, is trying to attain the family fortune.

Personality: Sarcastic. Levi is a gentleman only when he deems it necessary. Levi also seems to be quite conceited. He is very valiant and hates liars, and seems to be fairly reserved. Levi dislikes gossip.
