[The Infamous]

Mythological Synchronicity - The likelihood that all myths are not only based in reality, but also based on a singular, common belief, story, individual, or historical event. (IE, a great or global flood, similar or identical 'mythic' creatures such as the phoenix or dragon in various religions or folklore)


The setting would be modern Earth, namely eastern USA.

The races and species would include human, demons, angels, titans, giants, monsters/creatures, and clones. The good side consists of heavenly angels (Celestials), some humans, and some creatures. The evil side includes demons (obviously), dark angels (Fallen Ones), monsters, some humans, titans, and giants. Clones' sole purpose is to be a habitat for a possessing demon, but when not possessed, the clones can act independently. However, their ultimate fate is sealed. They are without soul.

In this RP, mythological "gods" (Marduk, Baal, Dagon, Molech, etc.) are either demons, giants, or fallen angels. Powers ARE limited.

ALL religions and mythological entities welcome.

In mythological synchronicity, the "gods" roleplay by acting out various "myths" to be written down for future generations. That is why myths separated by time and space are so similar. Additionally, a god of thunder in one religion does not necessarily have to be the god of thunder for all, but may be the god of war or the underworld; hence the roleplaying. They enjoy playing DIFFERENT roles. They don't even stick to their preconceived personality traits. The APPEARANCE of their spiritual alignment (good/evil) differs in every religion.

Their names may be similar in some religions while greatly different in others. For example... Odin in Norse mythology is also Woden in the old Anglo-Saxon pantheon and the ancient Mayan god Votan. However, he is also widely identified with Lugus of Ireland, Hermes of Greece, and Thoth of ancient Egypt.

Would anyone be interested in an RP like this?

It sounds very interesting. So how does this work, can you use a god such as Apollo and make up some sort of myth or are you using actual myths and writing them from a different view, but with the same outcome, because this sounds like a good idea and I would like to join :3

The myths that everyone knows about, for example, the ancient Greek's account of Perseus VS the Kraken, all those ancient myths actually happened in this RP, but because we modern people are so dumb, we just assume theyre myths. Now, the mythological beings still exist, but in the spirit world. They dont interact with humans much, only occasionally. However, soon, once Tartarus is opened up by Baal and the archangel Uriel, all of the titans and fallen angels and demons being held there will come into the physical world. Some (demons mostly) just want lots of chaos and death, while others (angels) want to rule and have long-term plans.

For example, if you wanted to play Apollo (AKA Apollyon/Belial), you would actually be playing the third-in-command of ALL the dark entities, and you would have to choose what identity you take on when contacting a human. For example, if a Satanist evokes Belial, you would not show up and claim to be Apollo. You'd say "Hi, I'm Belial. What's up?" or something like that. And if someone who believes in Apollo (like new age pagans) calls for Apollo, Belial (his real name is Belial) would show up and say "Hi, I'm Apollo. What's up?"

Basically, its a spiritual AND PHYSICAL war between the good angels and humans VS the dark ones. The spiritual war is SPILLING OVER into the physical world...so like one day, a cab driver in NYC would be driving along and OMGZ! THERE'S A MINOTAUR SUDDENLY IN FRONT OF HIM! WHERE'D THAT COME FROM? AND OMG LOOK THE ARCH ANGEL MICHAEL JUST KILLED IT! and then everything goes back to normal....except that cab driver's gonna have one crazy story to tell his friends.
