Alright, so I've had this idea for a very long time, about 8 months infact that has always been in my head but I've never came round to getting it done.
Here's the idea:
I, the gamemaster will provide a Fantasy RP setting with my characters and some important npcs and such. The twist is, it won't be a typical RP in the sense that I the gamemaster will be providing you with "Quests". These quests will have small plots to them and I will put challenges and interactivity in them. Each character will have they're own unique abilities, attributes, classes, traits, perks, skills etc. The quests will work something like this:
A King played by the GM will give out a "task" to a character or multiple characters of his choosing, and this task will be uniquely created to suit the character's abilities.
Let's say one of these characters has the class of "Assassin". I'll give you a description of what the Assassin class is:
An Assassin is someone who is exceptionally great at eliminating single targets. The way the Assassin does this, whether by stealthy means, through a clever ambush, directly attacking them etc. etc. Whatever way you're Assassin is at. Remember that classes in this game don't represent certain abilities. They just represent what type of tasks you're character is capable of completing.
Now let's say, the character is also an Elite Captain. Now, you don't just get one class, because that would grow stale eventually, you get two to freshen things up. Let me give you a description of what an Elite Captain is:
An Elite Captain, is simply an exceptional warrior of legendary skill and ability, who also can earn the following of small parties of Elite Soldiers due to his natural confidence from being incredibly powerful on a battlefield. Usually, the type of tasks he'll get will be sending him with a small unit of Elite Combat Npcs to aid him into a small-scale assault. Though an Elite Captain has many other uses, like all classes. That's just one example of what an Elite Captain is good for.
Now, because of his legendary fighting skills and his brilliance at taking down single targets, what he may wish to directly attack the target and take him out with brute force. (After all, Assassins who use other means are cowards and/or wimps.)
Let me give you an example:
Player: The Assassin walked into the Inn, hoping to find answers there.
GameMaster: In this Inn, there are only two people. One of them is an old dwarf named Bob who has no signifance whatsoever. The Bartender has no significance. There is an odd-looking box with a note reading "You need this to get to the next part of the task.". (Note: Obviously I won't be telling you which characters you need to talk to and which characters you don't. Nor will I be telling you that objects have significance either. I'll be mentioning them subtly, it will be up to you to explore the rooms and interact with the objects to determine what you have to do.)
Player: The Assassin figured the Dwarf might know where the Emperor lives, so he walked over to him and sat next to his stool, asking "Hey, do you know where the Emperor lives?" (Posts will obviously be more advanced than that, I want casual standards at least.)
Gamemaster: The dwarf looked at The Assassin funny and burped into his face while trying to say something to him. "Excuse me." He said. "Sorry, I have no idea. Maybe you should try that box over there." He probably doesn't know much.
Player: The Assassin realized the Dwarf doesn't even know what day it is, so he left him alone and walked to the odd-looking box. He picked it up and opened it.
Gamemaster: Inside there was a note. "The Emperor lives in his palace...Which you'd think would be obvious but I guess you're just an idiot."
The Generic Assassin-Elite Captain eventually found the Really Bad Generic Evil Emperor That Eats Babies of The Really Bad Generic Evil Empire That Publicly Executes Puppies in his Generic Evil Tower That's Coloured Bright Yellow which he just slaughtered his way into. He saw that 20 generic guards was in the generic throne room, he roared generically and unsheathed his generic longsword, then did a generic lunge into a nearby guard, stabbing him generically.
A few minutes of generic fighting later and generic blood was everywhere. (Note: I will be controlling the guards, trying my best to give you an exciting fight.) The Generic Assassin-Elite Captain gave an a generic scary look towards The Really Bad Gene- Oh you get the point. He generically assassinated him and generically escaped in manner that was indeed somewhat generic. He went back to the The Really Nice Generic Good Kingdom That Rescues Puppies and met with The Really Nice Generic Good King That Eats Tacos in his Generic Good Castle That Was Coloured Blood Red. The King rewarded him with 5000 gold.

Yeah, so it'll be something like that, without my awful sense of humour, fourth wall demolishings and casual standards of writing. Anyone interested?

Wow, I actually thought no one cared about this a day ago and I just randomly check it again and notice 7 replies and 5 interested people.
Alright, since I have 5 people interested I'll have the OOC up soon.

I've never actually played a table-top RPG but I've heard what they're like. I think it might be somewhat similar to table-top RPG. But obviously very different, we're not playing a band of adventurers, you're playing an exceptional general/assassin/warrior/spy etc.
Anyway, here's some of the first class ideas I have, let me know guys if you have any other ideas:
General Class: A general is exactly what it says on the tin. Someone with the General Class is a master tactician, is highly charismatic etc. etc. He's great at commanding armies into battle. You can probably guess what quests for Generals will be like. Also, you're general actually being decent in a fight is completely optional. Fighting is what soldiers are for anyway.
Spy Class: A Spy is simply someone who's great at gathering information, stealing valuable things, being stealthy etc.. A spy will have lots of contacts that can easily provide them with information, will have great detective skills, are incredibly stealthy etc. etc.
I've got a lot of ideas for the Spy Master Class, including a quest where they act as a Detective and try to figure out who a serial killer that's rampaging the city is.
Assassin Class: I've already explained what this class is, it's an assassin. Take a guess the type of things an Assassin will be up to.
Elite Captain Class: Already explained. A legendary fighter. Note: An Elite Captain can be a Warrior, Magic User or Archer. Also, just because you're character isn't an Elite Captain, doesn't mean they can't fight well. You can make characters that are good fighters but aren't Elite Captains. The only difference is you're character isn't a megabeast-slaying, army-smiting, unstoppable killing machine of pure destruction like an Elite Captain will be.
There will be three different kinds of quests.
Plot quests. Which directly effect the overall plot and are important. We'll probably all have to meet up at the same time as these quests will be so important to the plot no one can miss them.
Major Quests. Which effect the plot but not too much.
Side Quests. Which don't effect the plot at all.
Also the plot of the RP be for several years and the plot will be separated into "Acts". These are the acts without giving out any spoilers:
Act 0: The Prologue. Will introduce our characters to the RP and do a small bit of development. Then we'll have all our characters interact for a few posts before we go to Act 1.
Act 1: The Revolution. My character with the help of your characters now that he somehow gained you're admiration, loyalty and/or trust, will be attempting to launch a coup against the Emperor. Spoiler: We'll win.
Act 2: World War. Exactly what it says on the tin.
Act 3: Something that I can't really go into detail about, infact if I just gave you the basics of what this act will contain it would spoil a massive plot twist NONE of you will expect, (I've never seen it done in any work of Historical Fantasy Fiction but I'm confident you'll all love it.)
