The Nightwatch (A Game of Thrones Fanfic)

Roran, afetr receiving some oil returned to the training fields. He got teamed against a more expirienced fighter now.

"Good luck!" He said, receiving the same answer.

He leapt forwards and engaged in a fast flurry of attacks, temporarily overwhelming the surprised veteran, who nearly got hit in the initial burst.

Zeraph sat down and watched Roran, ideas flashing through his mind, non of them worked fully, but each was a posibility.

Roran wanted to try a new technique, one that he did not fully master. He dodged underneath the blade of his opponent, turned around him on the ball of his feet, and then struck the rear of his confused opponent.

"It worked!" He erupted, while the other grunted in pain and sunk on his knees, after treceiving a blow to his legs.

Zeraph smiled and shook his head "hmph." he said and stood, walking off, still struggling.

After a quick meal Felicia swiftly reported to the Lord Commander and then returned to the training ground just moments after Roran's victory.

He Sat down on his bed in his chambers, thinking about the events of the last day. Nothing special. Good. Nothing special is good. Let's keep it that way. Sighing he dropped on his bed, rolling in the thick blankets in which one living in the South would instantly melt, and let out a happy grunt. Curled up in his bed he tried to fall asleep.
