Gweryhfin was born in the town of Azclostic in the state of Kraoo. Her birth was seen as a blessing by the townsfolk as a meteorite fell down onto the ground the same day as she was born and the village shaman said that this was a sign for her to be the next shaman. Despite being the next shaman by birth right and the next spiritual leader, her life was not an easy one. Starting when she was able to walk and talk, she was put through rigorous training in the areas of religion, magic, etiquette, fighting and spiritualism.
However, her training was not without its fun parts. Both Gweryhfin and her shaman teacher love to play pranks on people. Their favourite trick is to have one of the summoned beasts to lay in waiting in a house or go and knock on the door to a house to try and shock people or to summon totems to make wailing noises and the like inside a house. Most of their pranks are harmless, after the shock has subsided, but sometimes it does not go like they planned, one time they ended up burning down a house during a prank that went wrong.
Gweryhfin spends most of her time, when she is not training or playing pranks, in the jungle and forests surrounding her home and plays with its wildlife. She loves animals, and nature, it’s also a part of her training to learn how to communicate with animals and how to upon nature’s energies to cast her magic. Once the shaman had nothing left to teach her, he sent her on a pilgrimage into the lands of Elorna to experience the different nature and wildlife there. Her teacher thought it would be good for her to socialise with others part from her own village too so that she could learn their customs if they ever visited her village.
She set off after being given the ceremonial shaman cloths and a sword created from the same meteorite that fell down near their village the day she was born by her teacher with the promise that she would return even stronger and more in sync with nature. Her trip was not an easy one, she had to fight off many a bandit attacks but her “collection” of bestial friends grew and grew as they pledged to help her in times of need.
Once she was close to the city of Egrelia, by what she had heard from travelling merchants, she decided to set up camp in a nearby forest and communicate with the animals that lived there. After she fell asleep, bandits attacked. Her warning totems woke her up, but she was already surrounded by them. She sprang into action, summoning her friends to her side and readied herself for battle. The battle was a long one, apparently, the bandits held a grudge towards her for defeating a lot of their comrades on her way to the city when they had attacked her. She could feel her strength fade after a fighting for so long, and her magic was failing her. Her friends were getting incorporeal, only being able to be there in spirit, before disappearing entirely. It was at this moment when she made a fatal mistake; she forgot to look behind her as a bandit attacked her with a club that knocked her down to her knees.
Just when the bandits were about to have their way with her, the bandits came under attack by a lone soldier whom carried the crest of the Silver Leaves whom saved her. The soldier had rushed ahead of his entourage which arrived shortly after the bandits were dispatched. Gweryhfin pledged her life to the soldier since he saved her, swearing that she would repay the debt in full, no matter how he wanted her to do it. He said; "Join the Silver Leaves, that is the only way you can help me, since I am its commander. I saw you fight before, you would make a valuable asset to our guild." She swore that she would be at the bastion in three moons, ready to pledge her life to the guild as payment for his help.
