to Advanced - - Multi-genre Partner Search

Hello! I'm looking for a few different partners to brainstorm some ideas with me and to have some fun with. I tend to be high casual to advanced, but don't let those fancy titles turn you off. I'm very laid back and I'm not going have a panic attack if you accidentally spell something wrong just once! I'm an astute reader and I can usually assume from context clues what you mean.

Anyway, I digress--I'm looking for a partner who loves to write, can get things off the ground quickly, can respond at lease once a day, and loves the gritty details and emotional roller coasters of the characters.

I like most genres except for the mundane; I hate playing "normal" people unless they're in some sort of situation that puts them out of the ordinary. I don't like playing things like high school, unless there's something interesting about said high school--I went to a pretty interesting high school, I don't want to pretend I went to an awful one.

I digress again; let me give you some bullet points (aren't bullets wonderful?) with some plot ideas and settings I have in mind.

- Anything with vampires. Well, mean bloodsucking ones.
- Actually, anything supernatural.
- I like sci-fi, too. Like, Firefly sci-fi, and Star Trek sci-fi, like space pirates and all that good stuff.
- Fantasy, too. Ranging from subtle modern fantasy to high fantasy (LotR!)

Settings!
- I'm a sucker for Old World--1880s to 1930s and I am sold.
- Medieval fantasy, like LotR or Game of Thrones
- Renaissance era--haven't tried it, but would like to.
- Roman era? I love Roman history (Caesar and I have the same nose.)
- Modern, but nothing boring. I like adding vampires or other fantastical elements--alternatively, normal people but with a murder mystery or something interesting going on.
- Futuristic. I'm a sucker for alternate solar systems and things like that; like-earth planets and space colonization, it all appeals to me.

I'm a writer, I love creating characters and original ideas, so I don't play very many fandoms. Here are the fandoms I will do:

- A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones (I've finished the third book so far.)
- True Blood (I read the first ten books and that's time I will never get back.)
- Boardwalk Empire

In terms of characters, I play male or female, I don't have a preference. Yay, gender equality! ^^

What's most important to me is that we work to create story ideas and plots and settings together, and then run around free in worlds of our own creation! Isn't that just super fun? That's what I want to do! I want to banter back and forth for a few messages, and then just jump right into it. I don't want to deal with character sheets or anything like that; I want to put my characters into words and describe them on the page, which is what I do best!

Hello! I'm a new roleplayer here, but I think your proposal sounds wonderful. I love creating and being original, and I also love a good, through, emotional story. I prefer to do plots with fantasy and romance, though I don't really have any ideas at the moment. I'm willing to try others genres though. Just getting to do a good roleplay will be worth it.

I agree! I'm also pretty new which is my I have this sort of desperation to get something, anything off the ground.

What type of fantasy (and romance) do you like? Just in general? We can brainstorm! ^^

Renaissance Era, perhaps something with pirates...
Modern, though anything with vampires or other creatures along those fantasy lines...

But seriously, I would happily dive into any of the settings and ideas you've listed specifically. Also got a few ideas I wouldn't mind punting around some time.

I especially have a preference towards your concept of introducing and developing characters during the roleplay, it is certainly something I favour heavily rather than relying on character sheets or the such.

So if you ever need a slightly unhinged role playing partner, or just want to bounce ideas around to see what sticks, feel free to PM me, I tend to be on daily unless something comes up.

I am interested in brainstorming a fantasy setting, actually--although you'll find that I'm not strictly a fan of LoTR-esque high fantasy.
