I think it's very different. Huscarl's character is mad, irrevocably, it seems; driven to insanity by her addiction to her scrying glass. Your character seems just to be a bit looney, touched by old age more than anything.Originally Posted by xenon

yeah, you're probably right, I just over-reacted out of sheer embarrassment, haha, but in case she is even the slightest bit offended, the offer still stands. The whole talking to his sword thing was merely an afterthought just to give Brand a little bit of character, it's no biggy to remove.

36 is pretty old. 60 is life expectancy... so 36 is more like ~50 in today's age. Not to mention he's been in the wars.

Yeah, approximately. What I see in a lot of fantasy RP's is that the average person lives as long as we do today, which simply isn't true. Even 60 is pushing it; in the 900's AD, life expectancy was between 40 and 50 for somebody healthy.
