Konohagakure, Hokages residence, 9 AM.
It was a nice day, as ever, in Konohagakure. The wind was playing around in the trees and the trees cheerfully danced along with it. The market was bustling with activity, ramen shops were thriving with this much people in the village. Children were playing in the streets pretending to be shinobi, while the jounins nearby watched them, smiling. The Will of Fire was strong, even in these times. The faces of the first and second, as well as the third Hokage were awe inspiring, looking out unto the sunset. Many thought they were looking out for enemies coming towards Konoha. However in the Hokages residence, Zakiro Hon, the third hokage, was looking at three of the villages jounin. Ushio Natsua, Sayomi Uchiha and Kanajiro Hanamoto were also present, having just arrived for their briefing.
The Third Hokage had a concerned look on his face. It was not often that this would happen to him. He paced back and forth behind his desk, sometimes stopping to look outside. This went on for several minutes before Kanajiro raised his fist and coughed in it. The Third looked at his direction and then proceeded. “Yes, right. You were here for the briefing.. I swore I had prepared something,” he said loudly, “.. something about your squads. New squads, oh yes that was it.” He went through his desk and then scratched his head. The three jounins could just see the laziness dripping off the man. Then, after several knocks and a loud “Enter!” a woman walked in. Ida Hon-Alvara. A beautiful woman, to say the least, and no doubt a strong kunoichi. She had several files in her hands, and handed them to the third Hokage. “Ah, perfect, thank you dear!” The lady bowed for the Hokage and waited besides the hokage, eyeing the jounins.
The Hokage continued as before, still as chaotic as always. “Ah, yes, these papers here are your teams. I trust you will take good care of these shinobi as they are the future of our village. Now if you'll excuse me.. I have to take a nap..” Having said this he took a look at Ida who looked back at him with an angry look. “I meant.. finish this huge pile of work.” An obviously fake smile was the finishing touch to this sentence. After all that he handed them the papers without even looking and went on to pretend to be working really hard.
The jounins walked outside and without saying a word, handed eachother the correct papers. As always each one of them got the papers the other was supposed to have, and vice versa. They all raised their hands at eachother but were looking more at the papers than the others while doing so. It was going to be a long ass day.
