Personality: Despite a somewhat serious demeanour when around Kamiria, mostly for the blind girl's benefit, Niji is a friendly girl and does try to make friends, granted she is constantly trying to be wary of potential danger, due to family training. When given a task to do, she will conduct it as professionally as physically possible. Lastly, she shows continued loyalty towards all allies, more so the Raikage, her family and her charge, Kamiria Haruhino.

History: Member of a family dedicated to individual protection services, Niji was raised to watch for danger and protect whomever she is requested to protect. During her training in the ninja academy, Niji was assigned to a charge, a bizarre occurrence for a young member of the clan, but essential due to the age of the charge, the family supposedly wanting nothing other than a protector close to their child's age. Niji has been assigned to protect the young Kamiria Haruhino, and has the seal applied to her so she would know where the girl was at all times, she's been watching over Kamiria for the past year, but due to being assigned to different teams, protecting her charge has become difficult.

Personality: Cheerful and full of energy. He is openly friendly and has plenty of patience. You honestly couldn’t get him mad, unless you were REALLY trying. However he hasn’t gotten used to working with a team, so he tends to try and carry the majority of the responsibilities for a mission. This can be a problem if he over extends himself.
History: Tsubasa was born in Takumi Village, where his family were smiths and artisans. After several incidents with chakra infused steel and several weeks of deliberation, Tsubasa was sent to Konohagakure to begin his journey as a shinobi. Right away the teachers noticed his ability to control his chakra, however he was for some odd reason unable to tap into all of his chakra. After graduating, Tsubasa was unfortunately unable to join a squad since the numbers of his graduating class were too great. Knowing this, the Hokage sent him on missions that could be easily accomplished by one man. Tsubasa would generally spend his time in between missions visiting his parents in Takumi, learning how to handle and smith various steels as wells as great sword training. Right before his Chuunin exam, his father gave Tsubasa his old great sword, and said it was tradition that he carry his father’s sword until he could craft his own. He received the rank of Chuunin, on the condition that he would join a team. He now visits his home to craft bits on armor so when he crafts his weapon, it will be perfect.

Chakra is the fuel for the jet stream and unique flames are the result. This would propel Tsubasa a good distance with great speed and force. Flight would also be possible, yet draining. However, Tsubasa would get burned if he released this on his bare skin, so a catalyst is needed. Chakra infused metal could be worn to prevent burning.

Appearance: Picture a boy, standing at 5'11 with definite muscle mass and a clearly defined facial structure. Imagine red, messy hair that falls to his eyebrows, with blue eyes and a perfect complexion; a near perfect face for a beautiful young man. Now add his usual attire: white, baggy pants that span his entire leg and a brownish red vest covering his chest with a bickers pitch black overcoat. On the sleeves of this very unusual shirt are long reddish orange flames that cover the entire bottom of the sleeve. But his attire is not the only unusual thing that depicts Shikata. Spanning his entire arm are various flame tattoos, many of which are blue rather than the normal red. Got the picture? Well that's Shikata.
Personality: Shikata is a very polite, nice, and intelligent boy. He has proven many times over his maturity, which far outclasses most of his age. When it comes to friends he prefers to “hang out” with adults rather than people in his age group, as he gets annoyed when people act immature or, in his words, “Bratty.” People wise he is a great conversation starter, a person most people would like to be around and enjoy to hang out with. All in all he is a near perfect model for other children, who love to act like he does. Battle wise, he's not much different. In a battle Shikata is very patient an analytic, taking time in the beginning of a fight to find his opponents weaknesses and strengths. Staying a few steps ahead of his opponent, Shikata will then use this knowledge and develop complex battle plans and strategies created to force his opponent into a corner. In a battle, Shikata displays skill and intelligence far beyond that of the normal student.
History: Shikata lead a pretty normal life, apart from his parents death. When he and his sister were six years old, their parents were killed in a ridiculous battle, a mere skirmish between nations on the border. Many people say that this was the reason Shikata grew up to be so mature, to be so polite and helpful. From the moment his parents had died he and his sister had been deemed orphans, he had began to care for his sister, and his entire attitude in a nutshell had changed in every way. From that moment he had changed, he had done in but a few seconds what took people eighteen years, and sometimes longer. He had grown up.

When he was eight years old, he and his sister joined the ninja academy, and he grew well known for his skill with ninjutsu and taijutsu, specifically fire styled jutsu. In just two years, the duo, him and his sister, graduated from the academy, and were dubbed genin. They were both well known, him for his intelligence and skill with nin and taijutsu, and his sister for her beauty and medicinal skill, and they prided in these titles. From that point on the two simply got stronger and stronger, and eventually become very dependable shinobi. Sadly, his sister died to a surprise ambush on a mission away from the village. Having become a chunin, she never told him when she was going out anymore. Since that day he has vowed to do everything perfectly, for her sake. It should be noted that, considering that he's a true Orphan with no real family... He is still a happy kid.

Weapons: Normal shinobi tools, such as kunai, metal wire, shuriken, etc. He also carries a very long sword(ten feet) that reacts and heats up to hundreds of degrees when his chakra is channeled through it, turning into a bright red orange. His tattoos also hold a special purpose of gathered chakra and assisting in the use of chakra control, but, if pressured, will cause Shikata's chakra controlling skills to literally halt for the duration. These tattoos also hold about ten percent of his chakra in them at all times, and can be used at any time. The molding of the chakra in these tattoos cannot be halted.

Kekkai Genkai: Kasai no eiko.
Description: Shikata's Kekkai Genkai is merely his ability to learn and manipulate different fire jutsu. People of his clan seem to be very adapt at fire jutsu, being able to, at higher levels, even power up typical fire jutsu. (Not really a Kekkei genkai just something to note.

Elemental Affinity.
Katon: Considering his young age, Shikata has been more than praised for his ability with fire. He is probably one of the most proficient users of Fire among the village, even jonin.(Though he doesn't have the chakra to maintain as they do)

Description: A less destructive form of Kyokujitsugakure in terms of the individual, but works on a similar principle. Chakra is channeled throughout the body with the help of his chakra tattos and typically released near instantly from chakra pours in his body (This adds a bit of a surprise aspect to the jutsu, as it can counter taijutsu attacks and cause nearly unavoidable damage if not seen coming. These will linger in the air and slowly move about the area. When coming into contact with these, they will behave similar to Kyokujitsu, but on a much smaller scale, exploding outward and causing large collateral damage to those who hit them. It is an effective defense against close range fighters if need be and can be a potent offense. Each orb spans about two feet in diameter and emit a bright light, though not bright enough to cause blinding. DOES NOT TAKE HANDSEALS.
Weaknesses Only as of now effective against a close range fighters, and requires a decent amount of chakra to upkeep the orbs.

Personality: Fani is an eccentric and reserved girl. She doesn't see things like most people do, she sees her dolls, or any other thing that exists as important as human life. We can consider her as a very sympathetic person though she isn't all that understanding when it comes to handling social interactions or people's emotions. She often has a hard time adapting to anything and anyone, pushing her to stay home most of her time and spend hours with her plush dolls. Her parents, or rather her parent, being rarely present in her life barely have any influence on her decisions and desires for she sees her plushies as her true family and even goes to the point of talking to them whenever she feels lonely.
When forced to interact with people like in a squad, she'd either stay quiet and simply listen to the conversations going on or in an attempt to socialize will tell something she'd deem funny but her lack of social skills and determination make it appear lame and somewhat childish. Though most of the time, it isn't even her expression that hinders her performance but the things she says in general are bland.
All these factors has led her to feel like an outcast and ultimately she became depressed. Though, being the quirky child she is, she never showed it and preferred expressing it all in a diary she keeps at home but sometimes brings along if she knows she'll be going on a long mission. Even today she constantly hides her emotions and relentlessly attempts to become slightly more acceptable in the circle of friends of others.

History: Born and raised in Konoha, Fani is a pure leaf inhabitant and shinobi who never traveled away from the capital of the land of fire. Since she was little, her parents were often busy running a Ramen shop or going to sell certain supplies to foreign lands while she remained at home working to become a shinobi or being raised by her older sister. Ever since Fani was little, about the age of 4, she grew a huge interest for plush dolls and other toys that resembled imaginary beings. Though this would be considered normal for a child her age, but at the age of 5, after the brutal death of her mother at the end of the First Shinobi world war accentuated her tendencies to be different from others. This became chronic and ever since collected dolls and other toys to talk to them rather than making friends like the other children would do.

At age of 8, her father signed her up into the academy to see if she had the skills to become a shinobi. She failed, not only because she had huge problems getting along with others from her lack of human contact and bizarre heterochromia aspects but also because she wasn't able to use chakra at all. Well, she could but at such a poor manner that it was futile to keep her in. So, the next few years she remained home either assisting her dad or taking care of her many collections. It would only be at the age of 13 that she'd gain the ability to pass the final tests and become a Genin. At this point, things went better and her team accepted her quite well. She was happy.

At the age of 14, her squad is sent on a mission which ended up costing the life of the sensei. The Genin retreated and were scattered to different teams re-assembled by the organizers. The team was entirely composed of macho boys who were chuunin and the sensei seemed too lazy to care about the kids. After a month, Fani couldn't take anymore and ended up beating up one of the boys with her special technique, causing her to be suspended from shinobi duty until the chuunin exams. With much anger and disgust invested in her training, she was able to gain the title of Chunnin easily. Beyond that point, she still awaits a new squad to be attributed to her but she'd be happy just staying at home enjoying the presence of her dolls and being secluded from others.

Description: Fani's only real technique up to date. Using her unique ability to manipulate Yang all over her body, she is capable of taking the form of a doll's. To do so, her blue eye start to bleed like the Sharingan would before releasing Amaterasu, though the effects would be immediate as the entire body turns into her doll form. The overall effects are similar to the physical characteristics the Kinjutsu Earth Grudge Fear has on the user's body, with the exclusion of the different element masks. Like that same ability, Fani is able to become virtually indestructible as long as her heart, which is the only source of life that keeps this body animated and the soul in place in order to produce chakra, is intact. Her heart can be moved through different members of her body relatively fast, preventing precision attacks from killing her off so fast. Due to her whole metabolism turning into a Doll's, she isn't restrained by articulations and bones, letting her become extremely flexible and versatile.
The entire fabric of her body is either cotton or masses of white or black threads, the sizes vary, that keep her in place. She can manipulate the threads at will, whether it's to sew up members she lost in combat or her allies did or even for combat purposes. She can ultimately extend any member of her body keeping the two separate members linked by many threads. If a member were to be severed, it has the ability to move by itself and either assault as well or re-attach itself to her body. With all this put into account, her body will inevitably be lighter and allow her to perform faster movements however attacks can also have a stronger impact on her. Though she is light, her strength remains high due to the Yang chakra she uses to keep this form which in turn promotes her physical strength.
If a member were to be annihilate in any way, or most of her body as long as the heart isn't destroyed, a thread can channel yang chakra into any existing mass it would have contact with and turn it into fabric that composes her doll form. It must be mentioned that she cannot be blinded in this form for her eyes in this case are mostly decorative.
Weakness: Hitting the heart seems to be the most viable solution. The chakra consumption is continuous, making it impossible for her to cast any jutsu in that form, mostly with the chakra control she has. There is no real limit to how long she can hold this form (About 45 minutes non-stop IC), but eventually if pushed far enough it should subside and she'll be beaten. The mass she creates out of different material costs extra chakra and the quantity cannot exceed her overall mass.

Chakra Nature: Katon

Appearance: Kakugyō (often called Kaku) stands about 5'4", fairly average for his age. In a crowd, he would seem very normal with no really standout features. Kaku sports a medium length dark hair that is generally unkempt. His face lacks a strong definition, giving him a more soft appearance, suiting his calm personality well.

The most noticed feature about Kaku is his glasses. They are very square shaped and have a fairly defined black rim. The lenses do have a partial mirror coating, which helps when fighting opponents that use heavily visual based techniques.

Clothing wise, Kaku is very monotone. Typically he wears very straight legged charcoal grey pants accompanied by traditional shinobi footwear, in black. He then pairs this with an almost black jacket which has a pocket on each side of his chest (the left having a series of kanji over the pocket on a strip of the same fabric from his pants), as well as one near his waist. The jacket is relatively tight fitting with a slightly taller than normal collar which buttons over the top part of his neck. When the jacket is worn open, he will occasionally wear a shirt with a bit of color, which varies depending on his mood.

His protector is usually worn around his arm, rather than over his forehead since it often would fall onto his glasses and push them down

Personality: Kaku is incredibly smart and frequently, if not to the annoyance of others, demonstrates that.

Since he is incredible smart, Kaku typically will behave very relaxed and takes few things seriously, including combat (at least appearance wise). Even though he seems relaxed and calm, he does so out of a need to stay calm to devise his strategies.

History: Kaku's life is relatively standard. He entered the academy at an appropriate age. The same held true for his graduation, although he did excel academically. Most of Kaku's early life centered around school.

Outside school, Kaku has maintained a relatively small social circle, most of his time as a child centering Suukei, who is one of his closest friends. When he is not spending time with his family, he is usually spending time with Suukei and his mother, Touzoku, who is also close to his family as well. Both families have been good about sharing resources in times of need, albeit those times have mostly revolved around someone running out of milk at an odd hour.

The most interesting event in Kaku's past involves the time when Suukei and Kaku were about 11 years old and broke one of Touzoku's ornamental vases. The pair tried to lie to Touzoku but failed miserably under the power of Touzoku's Sharingan - although neither know what she actually did. Both were punished with extra chores for 3 months. This, for Kaku, is living life on the edge. This is also the same event that Kaku discovered he had an affinity for sensing chakra, as both frantically tried to hide the mess. While they were successful, as Kaku was able to sense Touzoku's chakra before she opened the door they were obviously unsuccessful.

Note: Kaku is also a Sensor.

Traits: While conceptually adept, Kaku lacks physical strength. Additionally, clean physical blows are slightly more dangerous to him than others due to his lack of physicality.

Description: These shuriken possess the ability to have their path altered on a flat plane that is determined by their current angle. When embedded into a shadow, they will pin the opponent. The more shuriken placed into the shadow, the stronger the hold.

Appearance: These Shuriken look like average shuriken, except each of the four points has the Kanji for: “Ryūme” inscribed on them.

Description: These shuriken possess the ability to operate as a gateway for Kaku’s shadow. For example, a Daiō shuriken will allow Kaku to use his Nara clan techniques from them, as if it were his own shadow. Like his other Shuriken, they can only move on a plane without physical adjustment.

Appearance: These shuriken look like normal shuriken, except the four points have the Kanji for: “Daiō”.

Jakkuna's smile complements his pale blue eyes, blonde hair, and pale skin tone. His hair overlaps his eyes, so you almost never see them. It’s like you’re looking into the eyes of pure evil. He wears a red hooded-jacket unzipped, and with no shirt so all you see is his bare torso which is finely chiseled..as is the rest of his body. For his pants, Jaakuna wears a dark olive-green pair of slacks that have a few chains on it. The pants are held up by a unique cloth that seems to have the strength of a leather belt. It is olive green.

Jaakuna has a few visible tattoos. The most visible one is the one going from his wrist almost to his elbow, which is a blue and red tribal marking. It is on both his left and right arms. He has another tribal tattoo, but this one is on his chest starting from his neck and going down just below the pecks. This one is black. Lastly, Jaakuna wears tape around his hands for some unknown purpose only known to him.

Whilst on missions, Jaakuna really doesn't wear the most extravagant get up. He wears a full-body armor underneath that will include some parts of a light iron material and others light chainmail. Over that, he wears a pair of some black pants, but not the leather or jean type. He wears some nice traveling shoes that are black. A black shirt that covers one arm and that part is light tan. On his left arm, the uncovered one, he wears a black wristband that goes up to his elbow. Along the upper parts of his arm, Jaakuna wears some muscle bands, and there is also one on his right arm. Lastly, a pale-red scarf over his neck that not only covers the bottom half of his face, but it also covers his scar that he is very sensitive about revealing.

Personality:

If it wasn't for Jaakuna's "risk for a reward" mindset, he'd probably be dead. Though, that whole mindset really doesn't help him much if he's always rushing into things that he really shouldn't be. He never thinks about things twice, and that's always the downfall of his missions and most of his day-to-day activities. He's a rebel when it comes to teachers. There isn't really anything that makes Jaakuna want to listen to the teachers. But, when it all comes down to it, Jaakuna is a good kid. He may mess up a lot, but he's good at heart, and when his friends are in trouble or need something, he hesitates not even for a second to help them. That's probably why he's how he is.
History:

Having been born into the Hinoko clan, Jaakuna was brought into a clan of crazy idiots who don't know left or right even if it was right in front of them or if it was left in plain view. This is not an understatement, either. His entire clan is full of pranksters, hot-headed, idiotic morons with a fuse of an already-lit bomb. Yup, imagine that within a child's brain? Yeah, now you understand how much fun Jaakuna is, and how much fun he had growing up.

In his days of the Academy, Jaakuna wasn't really the star-pupil. He barely was able to pass and make it as a genin. He never could understand why the teachers got so mad at him for pulling pranks. They never understood why he made their job so hard. It was a fair trade, no? Even up to the current days, Jaakuna has trouble understanding some things in the village, but he just shrugs it off, and moves on.

Throughout the next few years, Jaakuna went through mission after mission until he made Chunin at the age of fifteen. Ever since, he's been in and out of missions. Some of the said missions were A-rank, some were genin-level. Jaakuna has also been on one or two S-Ranks. Though, that's the only time he's actually been on them. The reason he hasn't been on more S-ranks is probably due to his rank or something like that. He's still young, so he'll be able to get more missions in as he progresses through his Shinobi career.

Advanced Chakra Control:
If there's one thing that Jaakuna has over his fellow genin, it's that he has a more advanced grasp of chakra control. It's true that Jaakuna is able to control and manipulate his chakra, but it only goes as far as his own body will allow it. He's only twelve after all, so it's severely limited to what he is physically able to do. However, it's not to take away that he is proficient at Chakra Control, thus being advanced in this skill.

Fire and Lightning Chakra Manipulation:
Due to the bloodline of the Hinoko bloodline, Jaakuna has the skill of manipulating fire and lightning chakra as it is his two chakra natures. Personality: Naoki is usually very calm, nice and friendly. He's also very laid back, and doesn't really care if his students train or not. He believes it's up to them to carve their own future, and if they'd rather slack off and do nothing at all then that's their choice. He will motivate them however, he's not without reason as anyone can see that someone who doesn't has a teacher will never be as great as someone who does. If they need assistance - he's there. In battle he manages to kill off his personality completely and will only care for the safety of his own team and to lesser extent his allies, as well as the destruction of his enemies.

Much of his personality goes much deeper than this, like his emotions, and will probably never be found anywhere else but his puppets.

History: To fully understand Naoki you must understand his mother.

His mother was a normal housewife, as far as being the wife of a shinobi allowed it. Waking up sometimes, finding your husband gone for some sinister reason you would never find out. This takes it's toll on the relationship, the reason why most shinobi remain alone untill their later years. Needless to say, after some time she went ''insane'' and left the house and everything she owned behind to chase some dream she had about owning a curry shop far, far from Konoha. This was about a year and a half after his birth. Naoki's father utilised the care of all neighbours and family to raise him. Naoki never noticed anything from it, he was told his mother had died while giving birth to him.

When he was nine he expressed an interest in Sunagakure puppets, after seeing a picture of them in the books. His father hooked him up with a Sunagakure puppet maker, who just so happened to be a puppet expert as well. He got his first puppet, a small dog made of wood. It had no real weapons aside from kunais in it's paws that acted more as a way for the creator to add functional nails to the beast. He learned his first movements from this man as well, learning how to let the dog walk slowly, then faster, untill it ran. Then he learned Naoki how to utilise the kunai on it's paws. After some time he was completely done with the puppet and put it on a shelf. This was a year later, two years before graduation for Naoki.

At his twelfth he already had a fully operational puppet that could use lots of weapons to combat enemies. He graduated as one of the mid-high scores, not too shabby he thought. So did his father. As a reward for his graduation he got another puppet, a large wolf or dog, easily half his size. It took some time to get used to the new puppet, but he soon mastered it. Then the training began, to be able to use it in unison with the other puppets. The beginning to controlling an army he'd always say.

It was during one of those trainings that his uncle brought him news. His father had found the location of his mother. I thought she was dead? he replied. It turned out to be a big fat lie, only to keep him safe. He could understand, somewhat. Then what is this news that you bring me, uncle? Well, Naoki.. your father has passed during the retrieval of your mother. He apparently got into a fight with her and due to the emotional state of affairs between them, she killed him then robbed herself of her life. I'm sorry, Naoki.

Days of crying followed. But he learned a lesson or two. Women are never to be trusted with emotional issues. And to never show your true emotions during a fight.

Description: A puppet designed to look like an older man, aproximately 23 or 24 years old. It has black hair and magenta eyes. It appears very human-like but still maintains the form and shape of a puppet.

Armament A flamethrower inside it's mouth, can spew fire hot enough to melt steel. It's cannister of gas is stored inside it's chest in a locked compartiment reinforced with armed steel, but it can be broken through at the weakest part - the little hatch that leads to it - at his back side. He can flick his wrists backwards, one of the wrists will reveal two holes, which are able to shoot senbon coated with a poison that causes a frenzy, nausea (uncontrollable vomitting (is it ever controllable?), etc), or explosive diarheueaueughg. (watery poop)
From the other wrist it can spring a large spear, reaching up to about a metre from it's wrist. It's very sharp and hard to break.

Description: A puppet designed to look like a younger girl, aproximately 14 to 16 years old. It's got black hair and magenta eyes. It appears even more human-like, showing no signs of being a puppet at all. It clearly is, when you see it in combat, but during non combat times it will appear to be an actual girl.

Armament: It's armed with two high-pressure water cannons in it's hands, that can easily burn the flesh if it's maintained on one position long enough. It also has a bigger water cannon in it's mouth, which cover a wider angle at lower pressure, but yet the pressure is high enough to ''push'' away whatever it hits. The area of attack on it is about 90 degrees. On it's fingers are several pieces of metal, resembling painted fingernails as they are painted black. However when used they emit an electric shock to whatever it is touching or in the case of water is near. This can be used to create deadly shocks in the water she spits out.

Name of Weapon or Item: Pet.

Description: This is a larger version of the dog/wolf he used to have, this one being half the size of a normal adult person. It appears to be a cross between a huskie and a german shephard. It's eyes are magenta and the majority of it's ''fur'' is black. It's fur is actually real horsehair.

Armament: Pet has razorsharp teeth, which can be used to bite and latch on to targets quite viciously. It also has a small kunai-cannon in it's mouth which fires kunai at high speeds, much higher than when thrown by humans, but it's rate of fire is very slow because of the loading mechanism. It's claws are also coated in the same poison used on the first puppet, Brother. On it's back, in the sides of it are two harpoon launchers mounted on either side of it. The harpoons are attached to ropes and can be aimed vertically in a 180 degree range. Thus it can shoot straight forward, upwards or backwards, or anywhere in between. As such, and it's incredible strength and resilience, it can carry two people up a mountain with very little effort.

Personality: His personality is often compared to that of a bull - stubborn, reckless and reliant on pure force. This is very true. Apart from his apparent recklessness and such he's very caring for those around him and his village. If he was required to sacrifice himself in order to save a single person he likely would.

History: He was raised in a loving family that still exists (ofcourse) and apart from that never had anything special going on during his childhood. In the latter years however he grew more restless and started getting into fights with his fellow students over seemingly useless things. He sometimes also went rampage inside the school building, destroying the property inside and outside of it without exceptance.

For this he was nicknamed the Bull. His techniques mostly relied on sheer force and power. That's why he was quite dangerous as the person at the front of the group - to charge and attack as the first person in were his most joyful moments. However when the war started the old jinchuuriki was found to be too incapable of mastering it and the kyuubi was transferred to him. This earned him the adjustion of his nickname into the Fox Bull.

Personality:
Yumi is fierce, cold and reserved against people she doesn't know too well or who piss her of. She finds it hard to gain a bond with other people as she didn't had much friends in the village she was born. After she had moved with her mother to Konohagakure to live in the Leaf, Yumi went to the Academy, but didn't felt comfortable around. Save it for a few persons.

Unlike how she reacts to people that are unknown to her, she is very friendly to people she likes. Her attitude changes very fast when she notices she is with friends and becomes more fun to have around, even a bit playful when she is a good mood. Though she finds it very hard to talk about her feelings and only trust a very few people to tell them about it.
She has the silly dream of becoming the first Female Hokage and wants to show her mother that she shouldn't be ashamed of their Crystal Release, but should be proud of it.

About things she likes to do are :

--> Training with people she likes and respects
--> Trying to make some fun.
--> Trying to grasp her Bloodline abilities better, since her mother doesn't want to use it anymore.

History:

She doesn't know much of her mothers past, as her mother never talks about it and often wonders why not. For some reason she had a kind of brother, but never met their dad. Her mother said that her father wasn't important and that she shouldn't worry too much that she doesn't have a father. Yumi became a bit jealous then when she saw other kids with their dads and often went alone home, pondering how it would be like with a dad to help you out and be there for you.

Then when she came at the Academy, after moving to Konohagakure. She tried to fit in with the rest, but felt a outcast because she didn't grew up in the Leaf and because of her mothers bloodline limit. Even when she dedicated to train as hard as she could, she never could make any real friends, save it for a few. This made her only more reserved and cold to people she don't know.

After becoming a chuunin, Yumi hoped she would have a team where she could make some friends and was more concerned in having a fun time then to become a great nin. She would even give her dream of becoming the next Hokage up for it, since she really wants to have some friends that are not only loyal but also honest with her.

With the time that has passed, Yumi has changed a bit. Due influence of Iroh, she has become a less cold and reserved to other people she doesn't know and also try to watch her words. She still doesn't care if somebody else dislikes or hates her, but tries to be more carefull, in case she might push Iroh in an awkward situation.
While she seems to have given up the idea of revenge, Yumi still is waiting for the chance she might meet the Crystal User who took the life of her mother, which she believes she only had the right off after what her mother had put her through. She also knows some secrets about Kanajiro Hanamoto and seems to lost all faith in her former sensei and people she respected.
