The walk was fine in Amos's opinion, twice he had been approached by children asking him to show them the 'sparkles' to which his response would be to hold out his hand and give them just what they wanted. Small flames would dance around his gloved palm, the children would laugh then go along their way. The festivities were very intriguing, and he had gotten so caught up in them he hadn't even noticed Regi's little parlor trick. Until Alyssa commented on her shininess, Amos looked around at the group. "I knew you'd been sneaking peeks at my spell book" the wizard said. He waved his hand and the effect vanished from his form. Luckily nothing really powerful was in there, just eye candy magic such as this.
Amos could have removed the spell from the others as well without to much hassle, but that was not his problem right now, let Regi deal with them. When they reached the palace he was not surprised in the least to see they'd be going through an empty drain, it was always something like this. At least with the thing dry he wouldn't have to worry about everyone asking for spells to keep them dry and drive away the stink. For a band of adventurers they sure could whine.
Kain had finished his drink and got up from the stool. He never really did drink much, never so much as to get him tipsy or anything. When he got up he also grabbed his lute and slung it onto his back, hanging just below his secondary sword. "I wonder how the prince pampers himself. 50 gil says he has nothing but silk" He said with a snicker. If anything, he carried himself like a prince and could be unbelievably cocky and would be the first one to admit it.
"I do hope this won't be permanent" He said as Regi's spell took affect. He did snicker though at Alyssa's comment. He followed the group but when they came to the drain he frowned. "Great" he said sarcastically, not liking the way they had to go. He sighed and swallowed his pride.

Following behind Amos Sabriel saw him dance a flame upon his gloved palm as a sceptical for them to admire, the sight brought a smile to her face as she knew Amos was ever the politest of the band of misfits. She tapped him on the shoulder as she passed him, the streets transitioned to darkness as the fires of the carnival faded out and it was merely a whisper in the background.
Regi always one to show off chucked some magic powder over the group just as Amos exclaimed aloud about him peeking within his spell books, something an untrained reckless oaf shouldn't. But it seems to have worked as a raised arm revealed that she was no longer in human form, but instead her skin seemed more like glass than flesh. The group dazzled by the parlour trick seemed in awe as they approached a pipe in which they were convinced to enter.
“Seriously, if there is one adventure where you don't make us run through a sewage pipe I will be more than happy.” She sighed giving Regi a punch in the back left shoulder.
Buri unlike some of the others, wasn't nearly as tipsy, granted he had a buzz, and he'd drank plenty, but being able to turn into various creatures that booze wasn't made to intoxicate makes it difficult to 'really' become drunk, of course that makes him great as a 'designated driver' of the group, right next to a couple others. "Hmhm, I wouldn't be ssurprised if the Princce Iss a twissted fuck, But He payss well, a 'normal' group of people might leave it at that, but we're not 'normal' now are we?"
Of course he couldn't help but question this course of action now regi was going to lead them through what looked like a sewer drain, and with a tinge of annoyance pulled up his cloak over his muzzle "Ugh, even drunk thiss issn't a place we should be, do you have any idea what endss up in these drainss after the rain driess up?' He actually was having similar thoughts to Kaleth, covertly looting the palace in a minor way would be good for making sure this trip was worth it for something other than risky lolz.
He noticed certain things as they moved through the dark drain, such as Alyssa looking around all cautious like, and an idea suddenly came to him to mess with the, he assumed, drunk girl, and completely at random she'd feel a light poke on her neck from something slick and scaley. Of course he withdrew his tail before she could react and continued moving on as if nothing had just happened, his cloak of his face concealing a cripplingly mirthful grin. He hadn't really paid much mind to the 'glass effect' that Regi used, he turned into other things all the time, what's a concealment spell for surprise? Of course the stink of the dirty old pipe still got his 'tongue' through the cloak and made him groan slightly, but whenever they got out he'd probably be busier marveling at the scents of a castle than the stink of it's drains.

Regi laguhed, "Hey atleast it's just a water drain and not a... I take that back seems some animals have used it as such." He didn't say what it was. He just left it to the gruop to find out, they would for sure if they stepped in it. He walked over and continued through the pipe. He was crouched over slightly as the pipe was only five feet tall so he was about a foot to tall to walk through simply. Within a minutes time they were at the other end and he held onto the steel bars peering through to see if the guard was around. Luckily they weren't. The only figures he saw were two at the gates on the castle and two more at the other end of the feild, one on the ground the other ontop of the wall. None of them seemed too serious about their job and it didn't seem like there was nearly enough guards here to protect the palace from more than an angry drunk. Unfortunatly for the guard there was a few more than just one drunk and they were a bit more skilled than your average guy.
"Where are all the guards?" Regi asked no one inparticular. He slid between the bars and went across the grass quietly. He layed his back against the inner wall of the castle. Then he waved his arm for the others to follow. He looked up at a nearby window, "Hey someone hoist me up I'll see if I can get through."
He didn't look back to see who it was, he just felt a pair of hands below his feet as he pushed up and pushed on the window. "Damn it's locked." He could have looked for another way in but Regi was a bit impatient and didn't feel a reason to risk running into a guard as they looked around the castle. "Give me another push." He said to whomever was holding him. Then he bent his legs leaning back in their hands and jumoed.
He covered his face with his arm, elbow extended. He crashed through the window loudly hitting the marble floor below. He felt little shards of glass in his skin but he paid them no mind. A guard immediatly respond to the noise turning into the hall and looked down where Regi was. But all he saw was shattered glass and broken wood from the window. Little did he know much of that glass was Regi's figure in disguise. The guard did an about face and walked in a quick pace in the other direction, "House maid! House maid, some drunk shattered the window!" The guard turned down the hall and out of sight.
Regi stood up, "Come on guys, hurry before they come back." He said in a hushed tone. "I'll catch you as you come through." He paused and thought for a moment if their was anyone especially heavy in the group. "Buri if you turn into a gorilla I will shove one of this wood splinters so far up your..." He didn't finish as the first person came through landing in his arms.

Unimpressed by Regi's remark Sabriel trailed behind him taking cautious steps through the dark, damp pipe. Sabriel almost fell when she stepped on something she wanted only to assume was mud, but as she stumbled her hand hit hard against the rusted metal of the pipe and was left with many little cuts. “Ugh.” She grunted grasping her hand and brushing off many of the rusty pieces of metal that were left scattered around her hand. “This trip gets worse and worse.” She whispered just as Regi started to peer out of the pipe giving some kind of comment about the lack of guards.
Sabriel unwilling to put pressure on her bloodied hand left another member of her band of misfits to hoist Regi up to the window into the large castle that up close looked more spectacular than from the iron gates the kept usually deterred the riff-raff. The window was locked... Something Sabriel didn't at all find surprising, the glorious prince was a fairly secret individual it and wouldn't shy away from locking every possible entrance, just seems he is to high class to block the pipes leading into the castle grounds, probably never even been to this part of the castle, Sabriel thought. Her thoughts were interrupted and she was forced back from her mind into reality as Regi crashed through the window into the castle. “What an idiot.” She sighed as the commotion seemed to have attracted the attention of a guard.
The group seemed stricken by silence as they assumed the man with the bright idea to enter the castle through a window had been caught by a guard... A quick end to a fairly stupid plan. But alas Regi yelled calling for us to jump through, something that didn't bode well in Sabriel's mind, she liked to at least have an escape plan.
Deciding to throw caution to the wind Sabriel leaped through the window midst the jump she held her skirt as she was always one to have a slight bit of class, swiftly she landed back first into the readied hands of Regi. “Nice catch.” She said with a smile and a sigh of relief as she rolled from his hands and moved in anticipation of the next member of their small group.
Suddenly, this wasn't some drunken prank. This was a full scale breaking and entering, and in a royal palace, nonetheless. If we do get caught, stockades will be the LEAST of our worries, he thought. "Guys, I've heard rumors of punishments for thieves found in the palace. Suffice it to say, none were in the least bit pleasant." Even though they weren't many guards, Kaleth felt the need to whisper. They sneaked up to one of the many windows, and made entry via a flying Regi. After a tense moment, he called back down for the others.
Kaleth jumped up and grabbed the window sill once Sabriel was clear. He swung his legs to the side, and crawled in. The place definitely fit the description of a palace. Hell, even the gold portrait frames were framed in gold. Ok, that last bit may have been an overstatement, but the place was definitely fancy beyond anything He'd seen. There were jewel encrusted baubles on every little display table, offering some very tempting opportunities to enrich a certain young warrior. Pocketing a couple of small jewels, Kaleth took position behind Regi. "you got us in here. Now what the fuck do we do? I'm fairly certain theres no 'prince visiting burglars waiting area'."
"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a minimum." Mal Reynolds
Kain frowned as he walked through the pipe, not really liking the fact he was getting his fairly new boots dirtied with gods know what. He breathed mostly through his mouth and kept his complaints to himself as he went through the drain. He had missed the remark about the guards but had similar analysis when he saw the courtyard. He followed Regi closely but wondering why in the hell he was actually doing this. He sighed once more and kept his mouth shut, for now.
He was the one to help out Regi, giving him a boost up to the window. "Thick headed fool. There are other, stealthier ways to infiltrate a castle" he said as he heard the glass shatter after the second boost.
When he came through the window he landed not into Regi's arms and with much more grace than him. "The only gorilla I know of is you judging by the enterance, old friend" He told Regi with a wide grin and a light hearted slap to the back of his head. "You are lucky that this spell of yours, or Amos', worked on that guard or you would've gotten into even deeper trouble than you have before. You may still." He added with a snicker.
