Drake shutters a bit. "I don't see how they deal with the pressure. A single word and he can half many people killed. A single wrong word can be worse. That much pressure is too much you know?"

"It's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. I mean, really it depends on how well you rule. If your a bad king and abuse your people. Then you'll be under a lot of pressure. How my father rules. He isn't under pressure because he keeps everyone in check as well as treats them fair." I said softly and shrugged.

Drake looks back at her, catching her eyes a moment. "But he doesn't treat you fair now does he? Forcing anyone to do anything, especially something this serious... That's unfair." He tells her before looking ahead again. He pulled off to the left, into the woods a short ways until reaching a dry spot to settle down.

"It isn't." I said softly and looked down. I sighed softly. "But, he did say that if I found someone to treat me right and protect me. And they could prove to him they would take good care of me. He'd allow me and that man, if there is one I can find before the king, to come back into the kingdom and live there." I added and looked down. If there was anyone out there for me that is. So far, it looked as though I'd be stuck into marrying this king.

"Or a much more simple solution." Drake says, settling down against a tree. His armor easily kept him warm with the inside being leather. "Simple chivalry. Once out of both of our kingdoms I am free and can fight for your freedom. Then you can do as you choose, married or not. He can't say no either, it would be dishonorable and the entire nation would lose a lot of respect."

"He is the one who talked my father into him being 'the love of my life' when he's never once met me." I muttered. He never once had met me. And I wasn't wanting him to.

"Maybe he is.actually nice." Drake.offers, removing his helmet. "Damn thing is hot." He muuters before looking up. "Maybe you'll like him."

"From what I've heard about him. There's a fat chance that's going to happen." I said softly. "I'm not a fan fan of having people tell me what to do." I said softly and looked over at him. "And after his last wife died and they found bruises on her. I'm not looking forward to even meeting him, let alone marrying him."

"The chivalry still stands." Drake tells her firmly. "If I win even your father can't make you marry. No one can." His eyes slowly close and his breathing grows soft.

"The what?" I asked softly and looked at him. Anything to do with fighting a princess wasn't told about. The only thing I was really allowed to go to that had any type of violence were jousting festivals. I sighed softly and looked down. If only I could find someone, someone to be my personal knight in shining armor.
