Teenage Werewolves in High School IC

Maria had got out of her car she barrowed from her mom for the evening with her friends, they wanted to do a short camping trip which was the day after tomorrow, she was excited to be going camping with her friends. It was about 4:00 in the afternoon now Maria opened the back of her mom's car pulling out some foldout chairs and the tents. "C'mon everyone lets set up camp!" Maria called out to them, she had planned the trip for a few months now when summer vacation started.

Mia walked out carrying some bags. "I wish school wouldn't be starting in a week." she says. She set them down and helped set up the camp. "We should start a fire soon." she tells Maria. "What time is it?"

Kasa began digging in the back for her own things and food… the only two things on her mind at the moment. She grabbed some grocery bags full of marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate, hotdogs, buns, and the fixings. She walked over, setting them on the picnic table already at the campsite, and went back to grab her own bags and set them next to the table as well. “Here, I’ll help with one of the tents,” she offered, knowing she could set it up better than anyone else anyway. She began putting the poles together and stringing them through one of the 5 person tents, getting it set up fairly quickly.

Uriah had started carrying things out of the trunk of the car, when he heard Mia concerned over a fire. “On it,” he smiled, leaving what he was doing and walking just a little ways into the woods, beginning to collect firewood and bringing it back to place in the firepit. He eventually got a big enough pile, and began searching for a lighter or match, finding a lighter in one of the grocery bags eventually. “There we go,” he said. He pulled a piece of crumpled paper from his pocket and lit it on fire, tucking it under some of the wood he’d collected. “Well… I’ve never really made a fire before, but let’s hope that works?” he said, a bit unsure as he looked down at the pile of wood.

Niola slipped out of the car, glancing around. She wasn't entirely sure why she had come along, or even why she was here. She liked all the people here well enough, but most weekends she was more inclined to stay home. But, she was here now. She should do her best to enjoy herself. She did notice Uriah by the fire ring, a huge pile of wood on top, and a small stream of smoke coming from the paper. She smiled good-naturedly, and walked over.

"You'll never start a good fire with all the big wood on the bottom. All the kindling will burn up, but the large wood won't catch." She knelt down, and held out a hand for the lighter. "May I?"

Shane pulled up only a little bit behind Maria, carrying the second load of people. When Maria had gotten a list of friends that wanted to go camping over the weekend, he had volunteered to be the second driver. After all, fitting that many people in one car would have been incredibly crowded.

He jumped out from behind the driver's seat, and looked around, fascinated by the bustle that had already begun around the campsite. He should help out, but took the time to instead begin unloading the supplies in the back of his car.

Jonathan got out of the car and grabbed his sleeping bag and backpack out of the trunk. He had gotten a ride with Shane, and the car ride had been crowded, both cars pack with people and their camp gear. Jonathan had never really gone camping per say, but he had slept in a tent in his backyard a few times when he was like nine. He had always loved the forest though. It was a peaceful kinda place, that seemed to have a ethereal feel to it. At least that what he always felt, when he was in the forest. Camping should be good he thought. There was a lot of people here, some of them he knew others not so much. There were more girls then guys it seemed, not that that mattered to him, but he never thought camping was a thing the female species liked. He didn't want to stand around doing nothing as he saw everyone else starting to help, with the tents, fire and so on. He went over to help Kasa with the tents, though it seemed she had that completely under control.

The campsite was nice, a bit deeper into the trees then the rest, and even though it was summer there wasn't like any other campers around. Jonathan had packed clothes, his toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, his swimsuit, and his guitar. Someone had said there was was a lake nearby, just a hike away. Swimming was something he enjoyed more then sleep.

Mia walked back to the car and got the remaining bags out containing food, an ice chest, and drinks. She placed them down and went back to grab her bags also. When she set them down she sat down on a thick log and yawned. She then took her cap off and put her hair down from being up in a ponytail. "That's better." she says getting up again and went to help to set up another tent. "Hey guys, if you're thirsty, there's drinks inside the ice chest." she informs them.

Geoffrey got out of the car finally, finishing his calculations. He wasn't entirely sure why he went, other than the fact that he heard that there might've been natural cobalt deposits here. "And I really do need some of that cobalt for my experiments with the silver..." he said. He looked around and saw that everyone was getting together without him. "Hey, wait for me!" he said, running towards them, "Sorry I was a little late, I had to finish some calculations." He looked around, "Did anyone pack my bassoon and clarinet, I though I could grace you all with excellent music."

Uriah blushed a bit and stepped back, allowing Niola to do her thing. “Go ahead,” he said. Like he’d said, he really didn’t know anything about starting a fire. He cleared his throat, glancing around and looked for something else to do. He went back to the van and finished unpacking it, dragging everything out and helping everyone before shutting the trunk. It appeared a few of the tents were getting set up or were already, so he set everything just on the outside of them.

Kasa finished getting the tent set up and smiled to herself as she straightened it out, hammering the stakes into the ground before looking up to see Jonathan coming over. She tilted her head at him curiously, and then realized he probably wanted to help. “Oh, I already got this one…” she said, glad she got it set up before someone else could help her and mess it up. She stood up, running her fingers through her long brown hair and walked to stand next to Jonathan and look at the front of the tent. “Looks like everything else is under control too,” she murmured, turning around and glancing around to see the fire getting started and the other tents getting set up. When she heard Geoff say he was going to grace them all with his music, she stifled a groan and plastered a smile on her face. “Oh well… perhaps we could hear music later… I kind of feel like exploring a bit,” she said, stretching her arms over her head, her back popping a bit.

Maria helped with setting up the tents with setting up the tents, once all of the tents were set up Maria went towards her car and grabbed her bag and guitar from the back seat of it and set her bags inside the tent. She packed some clothes tooth paste and some snacks, she then looked over at Mia one of her close friends and took out her watch to see what time it was. "It's about 4:00 PM now, the sun will be going down pretty soon." Maria told her as she went over towards the coolers pulling out some soda's and other drinks and set them near the picnic table. "So what do you guys want to do?" Maria asked.

"Kasa said she wanted to go explore..." Mia says walking to the cooler and taking out a Dr. Pepper and opening it. "Exploring isn't a bad idea.." she says yawning. "I might want to take a nap first." She drunk more of the soda. "Then maybe during night we could go swimming?" she suggested smiling. Mia pulled out her phone and put in her Beats Headphones and turned on some calm, relaxing, classical music. She then got up and paced around staring ahead into the unknown woods
