Along the city streets dust balls drifted. It was a typical morning before the rooster call and the business rush of horse and carriage from all around the Confederate Capital. The first thing seen would be the welcome to Richmond wooden gate over the main road. On the left of the main road when entering under the sign you would see the following stores in closest to farthest order; A pharmacy, the Undertaker/coffin builder, Sheriff Office, Livery, a general store, Lawyer's office, Courthouse, and gunsmith. On the right was a hotel. Doctors, Saloon, a big ally for coaches, Land office, Barber, Town Meeting House, Surveyor, and the Bank. Straight down the road was a watering public well and a church directly beyond that.
....The Saloon seems to be the only active place twenty four seven. A few cowboys are passed out drunk at the bar. Three outsiders are around a circular table dressed almost like bandits but not hiding their faces. They are drinking and laughing while playing cards and eying the candy they can not have. A can can girl is on stage dancing to music as the lights sway lightly from the candle chandeliers.
....A long haired redhead sits at the edge of the bar in a green and black laced can can saloon outfit. She yawns stretching clearly waking up and preparing for work as she smiles to the cook. When a plate of eggs and toast were placed down in front of her Kaylin's eyes lit up. "Thank you.....can you place it on my tab?" The cook laughed as he leaned speaking, "Don't worry about it just keep bringing in the customers and doing the morning and early evening shifts...just stop being so curious about the outsiders alright Miss Whitaker." Kaylin nodded smiling as she placed the tip of her fork into the eggs and closing her eyes a moment for a brief moment of relief.
*BANG BANG!!!!!*
Everyone around came to a halt, the small amount of men now in the saloon including the can can girl and pianoist on shift rush to the windows and Saloon doors. Kaylin's eyes open wide as she drops her fork and turns knocking the bar stool down, "Keith keep here..." She rushes to the crowd trying to look over the shoulders of the men seeing someone rushing out of an ally. Keith rushes over with his apron as he snaps, "Kaylin you know how your father is now don't you..." Before another word was said she pushed her way through the doors and down to the ally.
Kaylin's heart was racing as she stumbled a bit seeing someone motionless in the allyway with a mix of gun smoke and blood smell lingering. "SOMEONE CALL THE DOC WE HAVE A MAN DOWN!" She turned seeing the still fresh dust from the fleeing man as she made a dash in her heels trying to track him down stopping near the school and starting to look around at the situation. Her eyes fix on slight movement on the roofs as she shouts up, "Hey STOP!"
((guessing the Bell tower is the church since those are usually the bells in the old western towns))
