When Richard walked into town, he first went to the Pokemon Center, before heading over to the Gym with the rest of them, as Danny battled, Richard noticed an old man sitting and watching the battle, on the opposite side of the ring. the man looked up at him and squinted. he then seemed to get a small picture out of his wallet and looked at it before looking at Richard again. Richard then almost jumped off of his feet when a strange face appeared in front of him. "GAAAHHH!!!" it took a few seconds to realize that it was a Yamask.

"Yaaa..." it said in it's high-pitched voice.

"A... Yamask?!?!" asked Richard.

"What are you doing outside of Unova?" he asked. the old man that had been watching rushed over.

"Sorry about that, that Yamask is... a friend of mines." he said.

"It's ok... still, this is amazing, i've never seen a Yamask before." said Richard, patting it on the head.

"Yeah, they are rare outside of Unova." replied the old man. "Say... you look a lot like a friend i know, are you by any chance from Kanto?"

"Yes... how do you-" the man got out the picture he had looked at and showed it to Richard. "This is a picture from a long time ago." the picture was in black-and-white and showed a young woman in a Circus leotard stood next to a young man in a Circus leotard, a Yamask floating right next to the woman.

"Yaaaa..."

"This is..." Richard took the picture "That's Grandma... she showed me that picture before. She told me that she used to be in the Circus, but she had to leave because she was pre... Grandpa?" he asked. "She told me you died."

"No... no, it wasn't me that did the deed. your Grandfather did die... but whilst we were in the Circus, Me and Elizabeth were best friends."

"She told me about you... Jacob?" he asked. the old man nodded. "She told me that she left Yamask with you."

"This is the Yamask in the photo. We toured all over the planet, Unova, Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh... She was "The Amazing Possessed Woman" and she was one of our greatest attractions."

"She was the reason i started that weird trick." the Old man looked at him.

"You can do it too?" he asked.

"Not very well. I heard Grandma could levitate off the ground and throw Shadow Balls." he sent out Haunter who flew around and into his back. Richards sclera went purple and teeth became jagged. "Haunter!" he said before he took a step forwards and Haunter was forced out. "See... It's not very good... I hope we can do more... when he evolves." said Richard.

"Well it's still pretty amazing." said Jacob. "swing by my house after your battle, i have something that you may want. in the mean time, i'll watch."

(You cannot find Unova Pokemon anywhere but Unova, it's one of the first rules we set up.)

((Yamask isn't Wild, he was caught in Unova by a guy who moved to Hoenn, i didn't think that was too far-fetched an idea))

Danny rushed Rai to the Pokemon Center and told Joy what happened. She pulled out a tube from the drawer. She explained it is a topical cream made from Rawst Berries. She gently applied some to Rai's hand and gave Danny the tube to apply more if needed.

Usagi had his battle while Danny and Richard were busy. He sent Glitch out against Torkoal, the shiny Rotom having possessed a washing machine while he cooled down. One Hydro Pump was enough to extinguish Torkoal into a knockout. Both Megu the Slugma and Magcargo were knocked out by a blast of Hydro Pump. Usagi won the Heat Badge from his perfect victory.

After rehydrating and cooling off in the Pokemon Center, James was up next. He sent out Gully the Pelipper who took out Torkoal with a Hydro Pump, and then took out Megu with a Water Gun and Magcargo with another Hydro Pump, earning himself the 4th Badge.

Danny got back to his friends with Rai walking beside him.

Richard was about to step up to the gym leader when he looked at his Pokeballs "Crap... the only one with a type advantage is Sandslash... well, it's all up to you." he said.

"Well, if you needed to borrow a pokemon, you only had to say so." replied Jacob, he threw a Pokeball to Richard.

"What is it?" he asked.

"A wildcard." replied Jacob. "I'll be wanting him back at the end of this." he said.

"Alright." replied Richard, he slowly stepped up to the plate and looked at Flannery, the fiery Gym leader.

"Ok, Punk, you ready?" she asked. they threw their Pokeballs at the same time. Sandslash burst out of Richards and Slugma burst out of Flannerys. "Meg is just gonna warm you up. Meg, Flamethrower!" the Flamethrower hit Sandslash, but he stood fast.

"okay... Sandslash, Magnitude!" ordered Richard. Sandslash jumped in the air and brought his feet down, a crack ran towards it and shaped out 7. the Slugma went down. and returned to the Pokeball.

"Good move." said Flannery. "Now, Go Camerupt!" she yelled as she threw a Pokeball that exploded into Camerupt.

"You still good to go?" Richard yelled to Sandslash.

"Sandslash..." it said. it looked a little damaged, but still ready to go.

"Alright then."

"Camerupt, Lava-Plume!" ordered Flannery.

"Sandslash, Dig!" Sandslash made his way underground just in time, he dug undernieth Camerupt and burst out, hitting it with rock and claws. Camerupt fell over, but was right back up with another Lava-Plume. this one hitting Sandslash square on. sending it sprawling onto its back. it got back up and panted. "Sandslash, Bulldoze!" he said. Sandslash charged at Camerupt and knocked onto it's back, down for the count. Sandslash jumped back to Starting position, obviously badly damaged. both trainers called their pokemon back. "You did good. now you rest up." he said. he then looked at the pokeball that Jacob had thrown to him. "Alright. GO POKEBALL!!!" he yelled, both throwing their pokeballs at the same time, Torkoal burst out of Flannery's ball and a Purple Swampert burst out of Richards mystery ball. "Wow... shiny." he said.

"Go get'em Larry!" yelled the old man.

"Larry?!" both Richard and Flannery asked at the same time.

"Never mind, Torkoal Fire Blast!" she yelled. it hit Swampert, but it looked thoroughly unfazed. "Oh..."

"Swampert, show me what you can do!" said Richard. Swampert called out its name before blasting its opponent with a wall of high-powered water. sending the Torkoal into the wall, imbedding it into said wall. "WOW!!!" said Richard. "Thanks... now come back..." he said, Swampert returned to the ball and threw it back to the old man. "Thanks" the man simply smiled and packed up his deck chair, walking out of the Gym. Flannery recalled her pokemon and walked over to Richard.

"You fight good kid." she said. "Here's your badge and TM." she said.

"Thanks... Look, you're a pretty girl, could i have your phone number as well?" he asked. she simply stared at him with an icy cold stare. "Wow. and i heard everything about you was like fire..." he nervously laughed. he decided to back off and run to the Pokemon Center.

"According to my guide, we have a lot of backtracking to do as the next gym is back at Petalburg City," stated Usagi.
