Name: Drew Penelope Marks.
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Female.
Alias: Bliss.
Height: 5'2”.
Weight: 108 pounds.
Build: Without her diamond-form, she is a petite little thing. She is outrageously slim, but still withholds some sort of muscle. However, while diamond, she is immensely strong, weighs more than one could comprehend, and is extremely lethal.
Appearance:
Powers/Abilities: The girl has the ability to control ice. Not only can she take water and morph it into ice, but she also has the ability to become almost a diamond-like creature. This transformation is only partially indestructible, but comes in handy while battling, as does her capability of creating ice from midair, in whatever direction she pleases. Nevertheless, with all these perks, unlike water, she cannot allow the ice to freely move. Instead, Drew must locate a specific area, and command ice to appear. With that being said, Drew is also unable to bring forth ice without water in her system, or a source of water nearby. Both of her ice and diamond-forming abilities waver depending on where she is. For example, hypothetically speaking, if she were to be in a desert, there is no doubt that Drew would potentially lose her ability to manipulate ice altogether and becoming diamond, relying on her very will to save herself. Even so, this shape of diamond can break, it just involves strength and several bullets. If it were to ever break, when becoming fully human again, she would lose her tolerance of pain and this could perhaps deter Drew from using her shape-shifting abilities. They are both strong powers that are resourceful, but have numerous limits as well.
Skills: Drew is exceptionally good at hand-on-hand combat. She can deflect bullets in her diamond-form, has a pretty good handle on her abilities, can lie relatively well, hack computers, and pick doors with a mere bobby pin. She is also ambidextrous, and can reach notes most girls can't. Her intellectuality is high, and she knows damn well how to hold and productively use a gun. She is fearless and rather ruthless even though her appearance says otherwise.
Equipment: She occasionally carries around a backpack that has multiple water bottles, a typical gun provided by her father, and plenty of leftover bullets.
Personality: To put it bluntly, Drew is a bit on the cloaked side. She isn't open about most things and does not struggle to ultimately hide her emotions. She consistently puts on what she refers to as a “mask” to please others in order to be left alone. She prefers it that way. While Drew doesn't hate anything, necessarily, she dislikes being bothered more than needed. Despite caring deeply for others, Drew is more of a person who thinks rationally rather than reacting hastily.
She is a closed book, you see. It is undeniably impossible to read her without knowing her, and even harder to gain her trust. As of this moment, Drew trusts no one. Not even herself at times. She is frightened by everyone who envelops her and knows but one strategy: If it seems life-threatening, leave immediately. All in all, Drew isn't much for taking risks, but considering things and their outcomes for the sake of her life and others.
History: It was never discovered how or why Drew had acquired the abilities that she did. As an infant, it was rare that she would become this beautiful diamond creature, and her parents found that it was usually when Drew was scared or frightened. It started with that when she was young, only changing every now and again. While her parents were fairly worried about their eldest daughter, they didn't necessarily know what they were to do about it. So, they simply carried on with daily life, acting as if it were any normal occurrence. Only, as she grew older and began to master her ability, her mother would tell her daughter consistently that others were not to see her abilities for they were works of the Devil himself. Utterly baffled, Drew hardly used her powers, too terrified that one day the Devil would come and collect her for his selfish needs.
At age five, Drew was baptized. The child assumed that due to this, her powers would vanish, and she wouldn't belong to the Devil any longer, seeing that she believed wholeheartedly in Christ, but it became evident to Drew that her ability hadn't even managed to weaken. If anything, it was stronger. Drew could finally conduct flickers of ice particles in her room, creating little frosts of ice, also commonly referred to as 'snow'. This concerned her, and she then came to the conclusion that telling her mother of yet another curse would do her no good. Drew was nowhere close to understanding her abilities at that time, but she was aware that she didn't belong to God.
Taking this to heart, Drew left her powers be. She only ever used them when they ached to be set free, or when she needed their assistance – like when she didn't have any scissors nearby. Drew had grown accustom to being normal, shrugging her powers off while living the life of a normal teenaged girl. Only, any typical teenager would have gotten raped on the night of that party, walking all alone in the dark allies of New Lilith.
Completely wasted, and hobbling down the streets after an intense party of almost being forced to another man's house, Drew sniffled a little too loudly. She hadn't noticed a man wandering behind her until several minutes later when he literally attacked her. Fumbling for any sort of weapon, the man brought her to the ground, already stripping her of her skimpy dress and undergarments. All the while, Drew was weeping, pleading for assistance, but no one came.
Having found that it was Drew who needed to be her own hero, her powers ignited and so did her diamond-form. The man was taken aback, scrambling backward hastily. He would have gotten away had it not been for Drew's mentality that this man needed to pay for what he'd done. She caked him with three layers of ice, leaving him shuddering and begging for his life to be spared. Spatting at him for how pathetic he was, she bolted straight for her home, just barely escaping the prying eyes of her family.
Reaching the age of sixteen at last, the girl decided that her powers tended to do more good than they did evil. After years of disregarding them sternly, she trained whenever possible, knowing that she could be something everyone was waiting for in New Lilith.
Other: She absolutely adores large sweatshirts. They're kind of her signature attire.
