    Arin Atrius Academy IC

The sun rises over the little island that encompasses Arin Atrius Academy. It is currently a week before the School Orientation. The School's scholars rise from their sleep places. It is an Atrius Academy tradition that students be brought a week early in order to familiarize themselves with the School grounds, and perhaps give them some time to find colleagues. It's a ripe time for Magic students. The Celestian realm had been destroyed of late, stirring some insecurity within the Magical Hierarchies of Mana Telus and Mana Arc. The Celestians have been cautious of late, keeping the news of their world to their tongues, trustees, and brethren solely.
It's the turning of another page. Dawn and Luna walk unrestrained still, casting their magic as they please. What will the next generation of Heroes do?

Letitia moans softly as she's awoken from her slumber, the sun peeking through the nearby window, forcing her to stir in the bed gently. She sat up in her bed and rubbed her eyes, tearing away the blurred vision that came from waking up. Her eyes slowly scanned the room once more in slight familiarity, able to catch images of the restroom and kitchen from her own bed - but it was instantly more comfortable than what she was used to and thanked the heavens she had gotten that scholarship. The half-elf slipped from her bed and went to the tiny closet, slipping into a t-shirt, leaving her undergarments on as she shuffled to the kitchen. Gently, she grabbed an apple and started to munch on it to slowly gain her energy.

Leaning on the counter, she quietly thought ti herself on what she should do. She recalled previous memories of the academy telling her that she had the mark of the fist, a self-buffing type of magic. It was a shame she didn't know how to use it though, otherwise she'd be outdoors practicing it right now, but all she had really was some knowledge on how to wield a knife. Maybe it would be a good idea to figure out a blade or at least take a stick with a similar length - she'd probably spend a lot of time in melee combat with her magic type.

Letitia pushed herself from the counter as she gracefully tossed the apple core into the trash without missing and went to get dressed the rest of the way - adorning a mid length skirt, a pair of winter boots and a cotton vest that was good at keeping her cool and yet starving away the chill. She slipped outside in the slight breeze that was blowing through the apartments and locked the door behind her and went down the stairs - being place in room 201 on the second floor. As she went to exit, she was greeted with a boards of sort that seemed to have a bunch of advertisements posted all over. Reading closer, it struck her that it was for students that were looking for roommates in Tier two apartments, but none of them really struck a cord with her as she read them over. Letitia just paused in thought as she mused over the board silently.

Anaira rolled onto her stomach, the blinding sun cascading into her room and onto her exposed sleeping face. Grumbling, she pulled her thin blanket over her head in an attempt to block it out and fall back asleep. After several moments of tossing and turning, she accepted the unwanted fact that she would no longer be sleeping in. Shrugging out of bed, Anaira groggily walked to her bathroom to perform her daily hygiene ritual. Yawning, she looked up into the mirror only to see an image of a pale elf girl, whose ears were floppy looking, hair was a blonde tangled mess and deep green eyes that needed another hours sleep staring back at her. Anaira groaned as she reached for her hairbrush and tried to coax it through her knots, grimacing every few strokes from the pain.

Life here at the Academy was going to be so incredibly different than life in Tefora. It was warmer, for one, and she also currently had her own quarters. Tefora folk had been divided into separate community homes (much like a longhouse I suppose) by age group. It felt strangely to have so much space to her own. She'd have to see about getting a roommate if she was going to be able to afford housing here. Anaira didn't require anything extravagant, per say. She simply enjoyed having such easy access to the outdoors.

Finally winning the battle of the tresses, Anaira managed to flatten her hair, a split off to the left side and her hair completely free of tangles. Thankfully. Smirking to the image in the mirror, she continued down her personal list of things to do to prepare for the day, eventually exiting the bathroom and dragging her feet as she approached the closet. Quickly, Anaira chose her normal gear, not that she would really choose anything else if she had the chance. Pulling on her tights, skirt and knee high fur boots, she moved on to the upper portion of her body, donning a woven quarter sleeve shirt and a cowl. Anaira tired the strings at the base of her neck effortlessly with deft fingers and pulled the hood up over her head, her ears making their way out of it. Pleased with her appearance, Anaira headed to the door of her cozy apartment and set out to explore the campus of her new home.

Jacob yawned and sat up slowly in his soft bed, opening his eyes, He soon regretted it as the sunlight shot right into his eyes, causing him to squeeze his eyes shut again. He slowly opened them again and got out of bed, walking over to his dresser and taking out a t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. Today he was going to go and apply for tier four or five housing. He certainly had the money to afford it as his parents had been very generous when they gave him his allowance, he thought to himself, smiling slightly.

He had himself a simple breakast of cereal, pouring some milk in the bowl and sitting down. As he ate, he thought of what he learned during his studies with his father. "A dual heart mage." He mused to himself. "Fire and inventory." He of course didn't know how to use either. That was why he had come to the academy. To learn how to use his newfound powers.

After breakfast, Jacob headed out of the door of his small apartment and headed to where he could post a proposal on the school bulletin. "They'll probably give me one of the more poorer students." He thought to himself as he walked. Not that he had a problem with this. He judged people by their mind and personality, not their class.

*Currently wearing what seems to be a forest stealth suit, Kimiko is hiding with all her possessions near the advertisement board*

The night was long and boring, but the fruits of having stayed up all night, laying in wait were about to pay off. I didn't care to take a dorm all by my lonesome, so rather than stay in a T1 dorm until I could get a roommate, I thought it would be fun to camp out by the T2 advertising dorms. As much as I could have just left a paper, that wouldn't be as good. I picked out a book on the topic to occupy myself over the night while everyone was sleeping. As it turns out there is a correlation between rising early and getting along well with others. Therefore, the majority of the good roommates will show up early.

Other studies show that when advertisements are displayed side by side, any flaws among them will be amplified. In the case of paper advertisements, penmanship is a must if you wish to get picked out of the crowd. Since I have lousy handwriting, I could never defeat all the other advertisements simply by making a handwritten note. I have to escalate the strategy, so that I have a clear advantage. When the perfect roommate comes over, expecting to file through the papers, I'll pop out. There is no way there is any paper more interesting than me. I'm sure to attract their attention!

Seeing a girl looking over the papers, I make my entrance, throwing off my suit into the bushes, revealing the school uniform underneath. I don't make a spectacle of myself until I am standing next to the girl, ensuring she has no idea where I had been just a few seconds ago. After that point, I burst into a cheery voice, "Looking for a roommate?"

Thanks for the siggy Harby san. You definitely know my tastes.

Mahal awoke slowly, lime-green eyes fluttering open as her body began to kick itself into motion for the day. She lifted the cushions of the couch she spent the night underneath and hopped onto her feet, stretching. As with every night she slept, Mahal was nude. This was not considered indecent by her people, so she saw no real problem with it. Almost immediately after she gained her balance, the tall girl knelt down and began to whisper a prayer to Telus, her eyes closed tightly as she spoke her gratitude for the new day. She spent a great deal of time in prayer to the deity and at peace.

"And I thank you, Telus, for the city-man's sleep pad. It was very good comfortable, yes." she added, looking back at the couch with a smile. The girl stood and made her way into the apartment's kitchen, climbing onto the counter to sit in the sink. She ran the water at the highest temperature it could manage as she began to wash herself down with a mix of her hands and hair, humming a slow tune as she did so. When she believed herself to be acceptably cleansed of the previous day's filth, she hopped out of the sink and stood for a few moments, hands on her hips.

"I must enter the man-city, yes." she said aloud, practicing her grammar for later. "I must enter... no, no. I shall must enter the man-city. Yes, yes!" she said cheerily, pleased with her further mangling of the common language. The strange girl returned to the couch and flipped it over, grabbing her robes from underneath. She took some time to put them on, the design of them requiring a great deal of patience to deal with. When she finally managed to dress herself up, Mahal eyed her headdress. Though she wished to wear it out for the day, she made the decision to leave it behind for once.

And so, Mahal left the apartment barefoot, wandering the outside aimlessly in an attempt to get herself used to the layout of the area.

Ruby wakes up rather effortlessly, she was used to waking up rather early in the morning, what she was not used to was to wake up and find herself in such a plain and small room. How i miss my traditional style bedroom...*sigh*
She stepped out of the bed and walks into the bathroom, after a quick shower and getting dressed in her usual clothes. Looking at herself in the mirror she carefully places her hairpin and then takes a glance at her blades, carefully placed over the coffee table. Ruby would not go anywhere without them and today was no exception, even if it was her first day exploring the Campus. When she finally considered herself to be ready she took a final look around, to make sure everything was where it should be and then stepped out of the small apartment closing the door behind her.

As she was walking out of the apartment area she noticed the board with several advertisements of other students looking for roommates to apply for the Tier2 apartments. Ruby noticed there wasn't much movement around, she would have guessed the campus would be a lot livelier than this in the morning, instead it was oddly calm. Taking a moment to look through the already existing ads, the girl decides to apply herself for a better apartment, she signed her name on the school bulletin and then stepped away wondering what kind of person would she end up sharing her new room with.

At this point Ruby was somewhat lost in her thoughts unsure of where she should go first, there was so much she wanted to see, magic was new to her and she had only just arrived into Mana Arc a couple of days ago, though from what she had seen so far aside from the various types of magic there wasn't that much of a difference.

She decided to just sit in a nearby bench as she occasionally looks over to the Bulletin subtly checking if anyone else would stop and apply. Her curiosity kept her wondering what kind of person would she end up with.

Nicolas awoke easily, after all, sleeping early has its perks. He took a moment to sit up on his bed and rub the crust out of his eyes before opening his blinds, and revealing the sun shining brightly in the sky of Mana Arc. He smiled, he could just tell it'd be a great day today - and not because he's a Void user and Void users can sometimes see the future.

Afterwards, Nicolas popped open his closet, sifting through his clothes. He paused to look intimately at the uniform before shoving it out of the way to get his white shirt, dress shoes, black trousers, and orange and black vest. He chose to wear these rather than his usual casual wear - black jacket and pants, grey shirt, and brown boots - due to the fact that the sun would probably make those clothes very uncomfortable to wear. After checking his clothes were all good, he virtually sprinted out of the room to the bulletin board to look for someone who'd want to share. It wasn't that he wanted out of that crummy apartment, it was for something else, something more important to him.

At the board he saw 4 people nearby, 3 girls and a guy. 2 of the girls were chatting amongst themselves, more likely than not making roommate preparations. That left him 2 options, the guy or the girl. He took a moment to contemplate his options. He ended up not signing up at all and decided to speak to the guy to check out his personality, and more importantly, make a new friend.

"Hey man, what's up?" He said with a relatively cheerful voice and a fake smile, "My name's Nicolas."

Jacob had just finished posting an application on the board when he heard someone speak to him. He turned around to look at the unusually formally dressed boy and replied "Good morning Nicolas. I'm Jacob." As he said this, he put the pen he had been using back in his pocket. He examined him as if to see what he was really thinking, but was unable to gain anything from the exercise. However, one look at the boy's smile and he knew it was fake. This only made him more curious about Nicolas. Going by this, he came to two conclusions. Either Nicolas wanted something from him, which he doubted as he looked pretty well off to Jacob, or he merely needed someone to talk to. Jacob had a feeling it was the latter.

Asakura was already up well before sunrise , she was tired from the trip , yeah , but she didn't have the will to sleep.
As the sun came up so did people , she decided to go outside to inspect the people who are , like her , newcomers. She used the roof access to climb to the roof , and then took out her binoculars , observing the area.
After some while people started showing up and putting applications. She noticed one hiding in the bushes , for some reason wearing a sniper suit. She had difficulties spotting it , because that suit was properly designed for those conditions.
Then the girl dropped the suit , and went to talk to some other girl.
That made Asakura go look for other people , but besides some people talking and sitting on benches nothing was going on.
She was using non army issue binoculars so a reflection could be seen below , but she doubted anyone would look towards the roof anyway.
