The Seer stumbled forward as the TARDIS lurched around, grabbing hold of the monitor. He read the circular patterns and followed the readings. "Doctor, It's pointing to the Virgo Supercluster, more specifically The spiral Galaxy know as Milky Way. From there...the Sol System, third satellite." He had never been to that particular area, but as he thought about it, The Seer had indeed heard of it. "Earth. Around two thousand twelve." He felt an oncoming shift in the Vortex and threw a nearby lever. "Focus on the Navigational Systems and Power Monitor, Doctor. I'll keep an eye on the other Monitors and watch the Artron Mainframe." It had been centuries since The Seer had last piloted a TARDIS, but such a thing was almost second nature to him. He typed out a few things on the keyboard, "Coordinates are locked, Systems look stable." He said, making a few adjustments on his side of the console.
"It's easier to understand if you imagine Time as a tapestry, woven together using millions of individual strands. Each of these strands represents a person's life, twisting and turning amongst all the different strands. But as a whole, the entire tapestry represents our dimension , made up of all the different strands. Now imagine the tapestry is hanging on the wall of a shop, with thousands of other tapestries hanging in front, behind, and next to it. All of them with different designs, but made of the same substance. That shop represents our Reality, made up of all the different dimensions. Here's where things get complicated, imagine now, thousands of other buildings, selling their own tapestries with their own materials. Then, you have a basic visualization of the Multiple Universes that exist beside our own."

The noises of creaking and grinding of the TARDIS in flight were as natural to the Doctor as his own breathing; possibly even more natural as he had been listening to that sound for lifetimes. It was a noise that promised stability, safety and security. However, in the Doctor's many lifetimes, another place had become almost a second home for him; it had provided him with friends, family and a place to call his own and to protect after the war took Gallifrey from him. This place to which the Doctor had grown fond of was, of course, Earth.

The thoughts running through the Doctor's mind were numerous and varied. His tentative hope at finding yet another living Time Lord were offset by the realization that, if a Time Lord was running around on Earth, the Humans on it's surface would be in danger.

With great urgency the Doctor flipped switches and pulled levers, coaxing even greater speed out of the engines and increasing the volume and pitch of the groaning vehicle.
Finally, he heaved a lever back, throwing all occupants of the TARDIS across the room as the machine suddenly stopped.

'We're here.' The Doctor said as he shakily pulled himself up from the floor.
'If I'm going to have a past I'd prefer it to be multiple choice!'

    'My name's Alan Wake. I'm a writer.'

Turning his head slowly to the side, looking through an alleyway... he could hear it. The moaning of a TARDIS which sounded like a gust of wind soaring throughout the cosmos in a certain pattern. A pattern that was almost majestic to him... the only musical symphony of space and time that could sooth an infant, leading up to the most amazing thing he might see in his entire lifetime... and there was a chance they wouldn't even remember it as they grew old. But everyone remembers the Doctor... and he has yet to see him after so many years. Though the Doctor probably didn't know the Agent, the Agent certainly knew the Doctor. He remembered the last days of The Great Time War. The days where horrors such as the Could've-Been King and his Army Of Meanwhiles and Never-Weres... the Horde of Travesties... and the Nightmare Child struck fear in to him. And the Daleks... these were the ones who he hated the most... the ones who took away his friends, his family, his future, his entire life. A blue box faded in and out sooner, following the hum of its arrival. A blue box was strange... it resembled the police boxes that were used at a distant, though not so distant time on Earth. It was most likely the work of a Chameleon Circuit, he thought. But who maneuvered it here? Could it have been Time Lords whose search for him was over once he had awoken? Impossible... the link was broken four years ago, albeit being broken for only a very short time. He did not know whether to run or enter... he would be cautious as he approached it.

Step by step... he made his way in to the alley. A very unwise choice for anyone with common sense. But his common sense was warped beyond repair. Looking at the light on top of the very machine itself, the cherry on top... he looked back down to the door. And with that... he waited for whoever would come out, ready to either run or stay.

‘Earth’ thought Alex as she heard the Seer reading out the coordinates. Her heart beat sped up as she thought about her home. She not been back since the Doctor had saved her from drowning that night.

Suddenly as the Doctor called out and Delta grabbed Kit’s arm she was brought back to the present and pushed the thoughts from her mind. The way Delta held her arm slightly amused Kit once more as it looked like she was looping arms in an almost couply way.

As the Doctor threw the switch causing the TARDIS to jolt massivly Kit expected to be thrown to the ground along with the other two, however somehow she reamind mostly upright with Delta still stood behind her.

As the Doctor picked himself up Kit grinned and moved forwards saying “Why thank Delta, that looked very unpleasant” She moved over to the Seer and started to help him up. He did look about 90 after all.

“Here?” asked Kit looking back to the Doctor. “Why are we here Doctor?” Her curiousity peaking once more. Already it had been a busy day. Two new companions, one of them a Timelord to boot.

The Doctor turned to Kit. With all the emotions that had arisen with the discovery of another Time Lord and, even more so, with the potential for finding more he had quite forgotten about her. He grimaced, odd day or not, that was not fair on her.

'There's a psychic impression coming from this spot at this time.' He explained, moving towards Kit, 'I'm not entirely sure what it means but it is definitely from someone with sensitivity to time.' He paused before adding, 'It could be another one, another Time Lord.' He fought hard to maintain his usual serious expression. But a twinkle in his eye remained despite his efforts.

Without bothering to retrieve his coat from where he had placed it the Doctor walked to and pushed open the TARDIS door. He was greeted by the sight of a young child. The boy wore clothing that even the Doctor could tell was out of fashion on Earth at this period. Reaching out with his perceptions the Doctor realised that the psychic impression that he and the Seer had felt emanated from this individual. Hope blossomed within his chest but the Doctor submerged it with a coolness that surprised even himself.

The Doctor put his hands into his trouser pockets and leaned against the doorframe of the TARDIS, the picture of nonchalance. His face, however, was analytical and cold. He had allowed enough space for his companions to leave the TARDIS should they wish but the message was clear. Nothing would get inside without his permission.

'Who are you?' He asked, 'and what do you want?'
'If I'm going to have a past I'd prefer it to be multiple choice!'

    'My name's Alan Wake. I'm a writer.'

The Agent had looked top to bottom with his eyes at the Doctor and the TARDIS. Looking inside a smidge, he could see that there were other people and a room that was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. He could tell that this was no military TARDIS of any sort. "A Type 40 Tardis... under disguise of a Chameleon Circuit... an Earth police booth as its facade." He said. He let his guard down a little, his stance a bit more relaxed. "I can tell that you aren't here for... me. Well, you are here for me, most likely, but not in the way I'm thinking, you aren't wearing Gallifreyan clothing. You wear clothing of a style found on this planet like I, which tells me that you've been here for some time." He said, wearing a fedora and black suspenders/white long-sleeve shirt combination with a short gray sweater-coat. He adjusted his glasses and opened his mouth to introduce himself.

"I am the Agent... I have been stuck here for three years now, apparently without my knowledge... ever since I escaped the Time Lock..." He said. "But tell me now... how is this possible? A TARDIS with two Time Lords, maybe more counting whoever you have in there... outside of the Time Lock." He said, putting on hand on his hip while he put the other on his chin in question. "I escaped the Time Lock following a link on the Earth year of 2009. The events afterward are lost to me after I... initiated the Chameleon Arch."

'I think you'll find,' the Doctor's politeness was cutting with to his icy tone, 'that I am asking the questions here.' His eyes clouded as he stared at the youthful figure of the being in front of him, 'You're young aren't you?' He tutted, 'forcing their children to fight in defense of a society that could barely keep itself going. That's the Time Lords alright.'

He sighed, 'You should never have come through the Time Lock in the first place but your presence here indicates that breaking the link between Gallifrey and the Master wasn't enough.' The Doctor straightened, 'if you're here then others might be also. That is not an option.'

In his head the Doctor was conflicted, rationally he should abandon the boy; as far as he had been aware Rassilon had brought the first and only wave of Time Lords onto Earth's surface. However, if more of his people were here then that meant the Time Lock was not fully secure; all the horror and corruption from that period could be brought right here to the present.

Suddenly, a thought passed through his mind, he snapped his head up to regard the Agent. 'Chameleon Arch?' He repeated, 'Why would you activate that? More to the point, how would you activate it? You need a TARDIS to interface the changes.'

The Agent's stance took a step back and squinted his eyes in observation once the Doctor's voice became cold. "Don't be fooled... although I look as if I'm sixteen or seventeen like most of these young human adults, I am actually four-hundred and thirteen years old." He said, looking down then up for a bit. "Well... that is still young... young for the Time Lords, that is... I was the youngest out of any Time Lord I ever knew." He said, looking behind to make sure no one was hearing in on the conversation. "And why wouldn't I have left the Time Lock? I was sick of it, sick of it all. You weren't so shocked to learn that someone so young from our kind fought in the War... it seems like you share the same discontent at what our people turned in to." He said, leaning against a brick wall that stood next to them in the alleyway.

"My TARDIS was taken back once the link was broken... but I remember now..." He said. "In my desperate attempt, I stupidly and blindly thought that by taking away everything that made me a Time Lord, would I or would I have not been taken back along with it? Well... to answer that question, I suppose it did, by some miracle." He said, knowing that the universe would once in a blue moon provide an unexplainable miracle. "Using the Chameleon Arch at the exact same time the link was broken, I became unconscious... my TARDIS must have been destroyed in the process, taken back to the Time Lock and leaving me behind somehow. I woke up in a wheat field afterwards, not remembering who I was... and it stood that way for three years, a watch around my neck with a note that told me not to open it until a much later date. And so I did... but there it was, taunting me for three years, three years I never bothered to open an obscure watch that hid my true self from others." He said, rage building up as he soon turned to the Doctor, pointing at him.

"All of this because of those... wretched Daleks! From that blasted planet of Skaro... before any of that, I had family and friends. I was a student at the Time Lord Academy... in hopes of joining the investigatory department of the Chancellery Guard. I had even dreamed of joining the Celestial Intervention Agency... taking on more covert and secretive cases." He said with a smile of joyful memories, but his expression grew more bitter afterwards. "But they had turned themselves in to the Celestis... in fearful hopes that they wouldn't be erased from history. Nothing more than ideas without physical bodies! ALL BECAUSE OF THAT STUPID WAR!" He growled, turning to a trash can and forcing it over, garbage toppling out as the can clattered to the pavement.

He took a few deep breaths and looked down at the floor. The Agent gulped and adjusted his glasses, as well as his coat. With one last deep breath, he turned back to the Doctor. "And now here I am, stuck on Earth, wondering what's the point?" He said, looking back down to the pavement afterwards.

"...Not that there was much of a point to the universe anyways."

After getting knocked down by the TARDIS' landing sequence, The Seer had a difficult time getting back up. Thanks to the help of Kit, however, he was able to get on his feet. "Thank you." He said with a brief smile. The Time Lord braced himself on the control console, coughing a few times. Things did not look good for him, but there were still things he wanted to do. Composing himself, he eventually followed The Doctor through the doors of the TARDIS. By the time he made his way out, The Doctor had already been conversing with what The Seer could now see was a young Time Lord. The Agent. "I knew there were others." He spoke as he passed through the doors, "Sorry for interrupting, but I wanted to see this for myself."

The Doctor turned, 'you knew?' Surprise showed on his face; 'What aren't you telling me?' The softness in his voice was balanced by a hard edge that plainly signalled mistrust and detachment. He returned his gaze to the Agent. 'I'm sorry.' He spoke softly, 'I really am very sorry but you cannot be here.' His eyes narrowed, 'If you are here that means that the time-lock is not complete, the Time War could spill out into this era and the universe cannot handle that.'

Sighing, the Doctor turned back to the TARDIS. 'You had better come with us, Agent, until I can determine a way to,' the was the slightest hesitation in his voice, 'maintain your presence here without disrupting the Time Lock. Being in the TARDIS should remove you from localised time enough that there will not be an immediate threat.'
'If I'm going to have a past I'd prefer it to be multiple choice!'
