The Doctor stared out of the door, ready to behold the beauty and wonder of whatever new world they had visited when he suddenly heard: 'Ready!'
His eyes narrowed in confusion as he viewed the scene in front of him. Three men, dressed in the garb of British soldiers in the First World War were facing him, rifles pointed directly at the Doctor.
    'Aim!'
The Doctor's eyes widened in realisation.
'Fi-' The Doctor hurriedly shut the door, cursing under his breath. A sound of three loud shots rang through the TARDIS as the door gave a thud from the impact of the shots.

The Doctor spun around, making his way past Kit and the Agent back to the centre console. Still muttering under his breath about 'stupid apes' and 'how expensive it is to repair wooden doors with a dimensional transference module', the Doctor sullenly slammed down a few levers.
'We're leaving!' He announced. 'We'll find a time where there are no guns, possibly a nice coffee shop too.'
'If I'm going to have a past I'd prefer it to be multiple choice!'

    'My name's Alan Wake. I'm a writer.'

"And what the bloody hell was that all about?" The Agent said, turning about as he ventured back inside the TARDIS after the preceding event. "Hasn't anybody ever seen a Typer 40 TARDIS whisk its way in... to... well then." He said, contemplating his last words. He forgot all about human reactions to alien and other-worldly technology. "Perhaps the next time we should... use a base of cover, I mean, I don't want to end up getting shot. My blood would not paint a very good color for the control panels." He said, scoping the panel as mentioned. Looking over the Doctor's shoulder as he tended to the controls, he eagerly made sure nothing went wrong... at least he thought he was doing a good job. "Make sure you keep an eye on the gyroscopic stabilizer. Oh, hey! A sonic screwdriver! What a lovely model! Although its very primitive compared to a sonic gun." He said, retracting in an effort to not bother the Doctor, preventing a scenario where they would crash and burn in an acidic pool of some planet.

The Seer sat in silence, watching the events unfold in front of him. It was quite interesting to him, looking at the differences between The Doctor and The Agent. The similarities, as well, were quite informative. However, such thoughts were short lived as he began to contemplate his current situation. As he did for hundreds of years, everything around him seemed to go quiet in his mind, leaving him free to think clearly. So many possibilities and yet he could not think of the one he wanted. Could it even be done?
He sat in his thoughts, shut out from the rest of the universe for some time before snapping back at the sound of gunfire. "I must say, you lead a rather exciting life, Doctor. But I do agree with you, someplace quiet would be nice. I can't keep up with you right now and there is much we must talk about."
"It's easier to understand if you imagine Time as a tapestry, woven together using millions of individual strands. Each of these strands represents a person's life, twisting and turning amongst all the different strands. But as a whole, the entire tapestry represents our dimension , made up of all the different strands. Now imagine the tapestry is hanging on the wall of a shop, with thousands of other tapestries hanging in front, behind, and next to it. All of them with different designs, but made of the same substance. That shop represents our Reality, made up of all the different dimensions. Here's where things get complicated, imagine now, thousands of other buildings, selling their own tapestries with their own materials. Then, you have a basic visualization of the Multiple Universes that exist beside our own."

The Doctor slammed his hand down upon the console. There was a sudden pause before the rotors began to extend and retract, travelling up and down with a noticeable decrease in speed. He sighed and pressed a button repeatedly before pulling down a lever.

The TARDIS came to a stop; gently this time, without the jolt that usually propelled its occupants across the room.

With a slightly self-satisfied air the Doctor grasped the lapels of his coat and moved to the doors. He flung them open to reveal another door. This one in a creamy hue that he pushed open to reveal the hustle and bustle of a Well-to-do English tea-room. Armchairs were positioned around the well-lit room; their slightly unwelcoming shade of magenta complimenting the mahogany walls of the establishment perfectly.
The people, men and women, had the clothing and air of Edwardian middle-class. The setting suited the Doctor perfectly.

He strode out, nodding politely to the other clientele as he went before coming to stop at the counter. A slightly flustered elderly gentleman asked for his order.
'Well I think that an Earl Grey would be suitable.' The Doctor decided, 'and a plate of hot scones.' He nodded and gestured to the others in the TARDIS. 'Please provide whatever my colleagues ask for and take the refreshments to my usual table.'

With that, the Doctor turned and began to walk to an empty armchair, placed conveniently by another set of chairs and a large table, that stood by a large window overlooking a beach. The Doctor shrugged out of his coat (which he placed upon a weathered coat rack that stood by the window. He then sank into the armchair and waited for the others to join him.
'If I'm going to have a past I'd prefer it to be multiple choice!'

    'My name's Alan Wake. I'm a writer.'

"Oh! Um... a plate of bread pudding and cup of coffee, please." He said, sitting down across the Doctor, but at a certain angle. "Or do they not serve coffee in this time? Or have the arabians not discovered the coffee bean from Ethopia yet?" He pondered, removing his gray coat and fedora, gingerly hanging it behind him at the head of the chair. He wondered why no one was exactly questioning a giant blue police box in the middle of a tea room... perhaps they questioned it, but the thing that surprised him was the fact that there was not a single shocked reaction in the vicinity. Humans confused him... but they had also confused him. The Agent had showed a platonic interest in Kitt, being the first human he's interacted with. Surrounded by the Time Lords who were changed by the Time War, he saw himself alone and isolated with no one who shared his feelings. Perhaps he would grow to be fascinated by some of these humans... but perhaps he would also come to the length of rage by witnessing such vile acts a corrupted homosapien could come to. Such things would soon come to him, a young Time Lord adjusting to the tradition and culture of Earth.

"So Doctor... three Time Lords reunite on the planet of Earth... that sort of thing just doesn't happen. Its not exactly a random event, you see. Call it a hunch, but I think the universe is trying to tell us something. Its almost like the curtains have yet to unfold something. Like we're in the middle of a... prolouge, if you will." He observed from a certain prespective. But of all planets... why Earth? Why not Galifrey? Why was this man traveling time and space in a blue box with companions... ones whose wishes were to see time and space for themselves, a dream he related to. "...What of Galifrey? Forgive me for asking... I've been stuck in the Time War for so long. I've not seen its skies since my last regeneration."

As Kit made her move to follow the Doctor out of the TARDIS doors she stopped as he opened the door revealing the three men with rifles pointed directly at him about to fire. As the Doctor slammed the doorway and the sound of their shots could be heard Kit stood flabbergasted at what had just unfolded in the brief few moments, and as he walked back towards the centre console muttering she decided it was best not to ask, something which she was rapidly realising would often be the easiest option.

As he announced they were leaving and heading to a coffee shop Kit perked up slightly at the thought of a good cup of tea and to get off her feat. Moving back across Kit listened to the agent and his usual string of comments, a smile on her face. As the TARDIS then landed for a second time Kit had already braced herself for a rough landing and was amazed when they gently came to a halt instead of their usual chaotic bumpy crash type of landing. Preparing herself mentally and physically Kit followed the Doctor to the doorway, feeling very relived at the sights of nice calm, gentle tea-room.

Following the Doctor’s example Kit strode over to the small counter and at the Edwardian man’s gesture she opened a menu and after a short while handed it back and said “I’ll have the same as the Doctor please” referring to the tea before thanking the man and moving over to the window where the Doctor had seated himself and sitting in a smaller chair that was opposite him. She sighed happily and gazed out of the window at the beach, which looked like a traditional British beach, as in it was windy and drizzling slightly as the waves crashed against the grey sand.

She listened faintly to the agent as he sat and spoke to the Doctor with interest. She hadn’t thought about how bizarre the current chain of events had been, or at least how they’d been slightly more bizarre than usual, though then again Kit still hadn’t grasped the sheer impossibility of the current situation, or the gravity at which it could affect every single life form in the entire universe – and the fact that as usual time was only mere moments away from fracturing completely and plunging everything into a chaotic… wibbly wobbly mess.
