Dr. Andis swung the rifle around, his eye staring down the ‘pipe’ of the weapon. The EV suit didn’t constrict his movements as much as he had assumed it would, so he was able to hold the weapon without too much trouble. His medics stood behind him, armed only with phaser pistols. They had opted to stick with their standard side arms instead of checking rifles out of the armory. The guns were a much more intimidating when compared to the pistols, so it made since that the medics, with their limited small arms training, would trust their phaser pistols and the security team to protect them.
Gabriel lifted his weapon up and approached the Captain. “Medics are ready sir. We have kits in case we find wounded. My crew in the sickbay is standing by as well in case we come across anyone severely wounded.”
He winked at Kel, most likely to relieve the tension. “Ready to head out then?

Charles entered the shuttle-bay with Kel and Sandro in tail. As the other two went their ways, he broke off and went to an adjacent room, where he found two of the security guards suiting up in their EV suits. As he fitted on the suit, the two men saluted and went to the main shuttlebay. He slipped on the boots and grabbed the helmet, all the while thinking about the crew of the Gosford, and what their fate may be. He headed back out into the shuttlebay, with everyone in their EV suits and ready to go.
"All-right, lets get going." He ordered as they filed onto the Galle. He and Andis took the pilot and co-pilot seats as the blue alert lights flashed in the shuttlebay. All of the shuttle-bay crewmembers had already cleared off, and the massive doors swung open, and the Galle took off.
The Gosford came into view a few seconds after they departed from the Excalibur, and the shuttle swung around to the aft section, nearing it's closed shuttle-bay doors. Charles had prepared for the possibility that the shuttle-bay crew was either dead, or unable to control their stations, so he had requested the access codes from Fleet Command. Transmitting them to the shuttle-bay control on the Gosford, the doors opened, and the Galle entered the shuttlebay and landed without incident. The doors closed behind them, and Charles stood up, "All-right, if you aren't armed now, grab a phaser rifle or pistol and a tricorder." He said, walking to the aft compartment and pulling out a phaser rifle and tricorder. He slung the tricorder around his neck and stood by the door, "All-right, lets go out, then."
Charles stepped out of the door as it opened. The shuttle-bay was dark and rather eerie. Another shuttle besides their own was there, with it's doors closed. He turned on the helmet light and held his rifle at the ready, but even he was shocked at what he saw:
Three bodies, two of which had obviously been shot countless times from the phaser burns on them, and one that had a burn right to the forehead. He could also hear the door close and open, to which he turned and saw another body like the two with the many phaser burns who had died at the door, which was closing and opening on him.
Jag har beslutat att aldrig starta ett orättvist krig, och aldrig avsluta ett rättvist krig utan att besegra mina fiender.
Real men do cry.
Kel put his hand on Charles shoulder for only a moment, then he barked at his men, "Get him out of the door way, keep your eyes peeled." He swept his rifle around the red tinted light illuminating gore and bodies. He clenched his teeth, his carapace itching. "Remember your orders men, there are saboteurs around here somewhere, check bodies for pulses and I'd rather not trust anyone until we can verify them with the roster." Kel walks around the walls of the shuttle bay, peering under things and taking stock, making sure the perimeter was secured. He rapped his knuckles on the walls listening for hollow spots that smugglers would use to hide spices or people. He grabbed a tarp and walked back to the captain, covering the bodies with it. "With your permission Captain, I'd like to do a slow sweep of the ship, I'm not sure if we want to alert whoever did this that we're here before we have too."
"Sir, are you OK?" He said, as the man looked visibly shaken, he didn't really know what to say so he did his job, "I checked the perimeter, there are 5 entry points, 2 on the stern bound wall, one or both of these most likely leads to the bridge there's also 3 on the port side of the ship, probably leading to the command room galley, and other things. Though to be honest in a ship this big I'd be surprised if all hallways didn't eventually lead too all places." He fiddle with the phaser settings on his rifle, continuously cycling between stun and kill, the weapon making a high pitched whistle as it powered up then a sound of discharge as it powered down.
