Grinning Tim took Kaden's hand and lead him further into the hidden cave "Why wonder? Lets go see." he suggested. Reaching a cold surface Tim climbed up and helped Kaden out before looking back to see a light blue glow. "Must be something back there." he whispered moving forward. Reaching the end he smiled seeing the place, a large lake with glowing stones around it. Above it was a hole where sunlight poured in and helped give the area more light "Wow ... You gotta look at this Kaden."

"Look at wha....whoa...! This place is beautiful!" The prince exclaimed as he took in the scenery. The most interesting thing that caught his eye was the glowing stones. "I wonder how they give off light like this." Kaden thought outloud as he reached down to touch one of the stones. "I would take one but I don't want to disturb it's natural state."

Tim smiled as he watched Kaden look at the glowing stones. Diving into the water below Tim laughed coming back up and came to one of the rocks, nodding he touched it gently. He was scared that if he touched it too roughly it would shatter under his touch. Smiling he walked around and stopped when he saw a rock laying before him, it was shaped as a rough diamond and inside somewhat looked like a bubbles coming up. Picking it up he looked back to Kaden before hiding it. He had a plan for it.

For a few hours they swam and fooled around the young man hid the stone in his clothes and made sure it was kept safe.

Later that night Tim helped cook the fresh meat he helped caught that day and then excused himself. Before anyone to stick with him he was gone somewhere in the castle. He had went to the study that was long ago one of Kaden's grandfather's study. Going in he he took out the glowing stone and started working in it, he made a small necklace and frowned holding it up. "Maybe It shouldn't ... I shouldn't be getting attach to Kaden. Lord knows I won't be here after he is safe from danger." he whispered to himself before standing from the desk and slipping the necklace into his pocket. As he returned to the other he stopped half way and looked around. The air was getting colder, winter now coming after them. Rubbing his arms he walked slowly back to the kitchen he smiled seeing the others.

"Hope there is still come meat left."

"Of course there is!" Kaden exclaimed with a wide grin and held up the plate that he'd fixed for Tim. He'd been gone a long time and didn't want the two hungry guards to eat all the food before he could get some. The prince then slide the plate over to the other male before continuing with chowing down his own food. "Man Tim, you are a great cook." Roran complimented through a mouthful of food.

Taking the plate Tim started to eat and didn't even give himself time to taste the food. Something which was common among all the poor. Nodding the boy finished his meal and smiled wiping his lips "Thank you. I'm surprised to hear that through. I've never really tasted my food ... just kinda swallow it and go on doing the next thing." he stated. Leaning back the teen smiled "Hehe, anyway what else do we have to do tomorrow?" Tim asked. He couldn't stand doing nothing for too long. It felt ... out of place.

Kaden thought for a moment before an idea popped into his mind. "Maybe we could plow the land a bit so we can make a garden. The only problem is that winter is approaching and I have no idea what grows in almost frozen soil." He said with a frown.

Tim frowned and shook his head "Nothing grows in the winter, just the ice and freeze. Actually, maybe we can start making a plan to bring more food up here without bringing any unwanted guest. Mmm ... till then we can start looking for game to get ready for this winter. Kaden, this might be the longest winter you'll experience."

The prince nodded bravely. "And this will be the first, longest winter that I'll ever pitch in with all the duites in the house." He said with a small smile. Then a though crossed his mind. "Wait, I don't know how to hunt...and don't we need to gather firewood too?"

"No worries, I'll teach you to hunt," Tim said softly as he grabbed some left over meat "We will have too throughout the winter if we want to live to see the summer nights." the boy smiled. He finished his meal and stood up, the stone somewhat shining through his cheap clothing. "Will, its getting late, guess we should start heading for bed."

The guards agreed and eagerly left the kitchen, leaving the two males alone. "Hey, uhm, Tim? Your pocket is...glowing abit there..." Kaden said with a puzzled look on his face. Had touching the stones in the cave made his friend glow? If so, why wasn't he glowing too....?
