The Mask

"You're a thief." he said suddenly as he moved between her and the door "Now listen, I don't care. Really I don't, but I can't have them thinking that all thieves are so slow that they'd get caught with ease." he muttered. Patting her head he grinned walking away "Have fun love, good luck. From what I can see, you really suck at being a thief." he said walking out and started down the hall. Stopping when he was near the room where the prince was he shrugged and walked pass it, even saying a hello. Stopping he smirked "Sir, there appears to be a woman trying to rob you just down the hall."

It took a moment before his brain could actually process the boy's words. "Huh....what?" He asked, not really believing that his own guests would try to rob him at his house. He got up an angrily made his way out the door. "Thanks for the tip." He told the boy before entering the only room that had its door wide open.

Tim smiled softly "I said there is a woman trying to rob from you, she's just in the next room. The door that's wide open." he stated once more. Watching the prince get angry and go after the girl himself Tim had to admit he was quite impressed. So much so that he went back into the shadows and watched from afar. He never wanted to miss a good show.

"What are you doing Lilian?" Kaden demanded once he saw the woman waist deep in his spare closet. She jumped up quickly, guilt all over her face.

"Oh! Kaden! I was just looking for my purse..."

"Purse my ass!"

He growled, waving a dismissing hand. He was honestly getting tired of his own family and supposed 'friends' stealing from him. "This is the second time that you've done this! I thought you would've learned from the first time you got arrested." The prince said, a deep frown on his face. "Don't make me calll the guards, again." His threat made her face flush and she quickly stufed the pruse back into the messy closet.

"Oh, please! Don't arrest me again!" Lilian exclaimed and tears formed in her eyes. "My children will have to stay with their father while I'm gone."

This statement made the prince sigh, his anger slowly dissolving into pitty. "Geeze, if you needed money all you had to so is ask...I am you nephew affter all..." He said and reached into his pocket, pulling out thirty dollars. Giving it to her, he spoke once more.

"If I ever catch you stealing form me again, your children's father will become their permanent guardian..." He said in a menacing tone, making the woman shiver slightly from fear.

"Okay, you'll never see me again." She said and quickly took the money before exiting the room.

Watching from the shadows Tim was surprised to find that the woman was actually in the prince's family blood. That was ... low. True, Tim was a thief who scared the families he robbed and then later on robbed again if he found he could, but he would never still from someone close to him--Specifically another family member. It was just a horrible act which Tim didn't really like to think about. His father had done the same thing to him and his mother one time when he came to visit the lad, which in turn was a nice way of stealing the money.

As she left the room Tim sighed softly, now he was feeling a bit guilty about robbing from Kaden. I guess I'll be stopping. he told himself as he started walking away. The torches of the castle were now brightly lit further down the hallway, when Tim entered the light again the mask was in full view and if Kaden were too look closely he could find the thief under the mask. Though this time clean and well groomed. He looked back and only smiled before going to the window and climbing out, a jingling in his pockets as he calmly walked away from the castle, all the guards would be inside to make sure everyone were okay and that nothing was happening. It gave Tim enough time to stroll down the path and act as a a guest who was just taking a evening's stroll.

Once his aunt had left, Kaden sighed and exited the room hisself. Today is just not my day... He thought with a shake of his head. Suddenly, he heard a faint jinggling sound. Thinking it was his aunt again, he followed the sound and soon found the guest with the mask from early, though he was in the middle of climbing out a window. Almost like the theif... "Who are you?" The prince asked as he slowly approached the other male.

Tim stopped looking back to Kaden, he smiled gently and stood there "You should know by now. I won't be bothering you anymore." He stood there and his eyes seemed a bit brighterr than usual. Sighing softly he stood on the window stall "Have a goodnight dear prince. Enjoy your ball." Jumping onto the tree the theif looked back, waiting if the prince needed to say something else.

"Wait..." Kaden muttered and walked over to the theif to get a better look at him. Once he got close enough, the prince noticed that his features look similar to those of another person he knew... Placing one hand against the other male's face, he gently grabbed the edge of his mask. A bold and risk move. "Can I see your face?"

Tim stood quite and waited, even taking a seat so he wouldn't have to keep standing up. Feeling Kaden's fingers against his skin and soon with them on his mask, his hand quickly took hold of Kaden's wrist. He didn't hold it too hard but it did have some pressure, as a warning "No. I never want anyone to know who I am." he muttered. The mask had been changed a bit, now the eye holes were covered up with a dark fabric which allowed Tim to look out of, but no one else to look in or see his eyes. "I should be going, you as well. You have a ball to return to."

Nodding, the prince released the mask and pulled away. "And you have some theivery to attend to." He replied with a smirk before beganing to walk away. "You know, you could just come over to chat, instead of stealing my stuff." Kaden called the indirect invite over his shoulder then disappeared around the corner.
