And the day I found out what he was working on, was the day everything changed. A small wormhole appeared out of nowhere in a secret facility unmarked on any map. Some began to wonder if it ever existed. Now we know. Now we all know. Because this day in 2012, war would start between us... And those who live in Hollow Earth. This was a war we called... The Hollow War."
The Story:
For hundreds of years, the world had thought the Spawn-Legion extinct. Contact with the settlements of the Frozen Wastes has gone dark. In fear of a growing threat in the uncharted north, a rallying call has been sent to all the great powers of the world. Each race must put aside their differences in order to unite and confront the rising scourge.
This is designed to be a fantasy roleplay set in a land of diverse races and nations. You will take on the role of an individual who has heeded the call to join forces and combat the Spawn-Legion in the Wastes. Your host will feature many races of beings from all walks of life, but you are united in your duty to your homes and the very survival of your world as you know it.
World Map:
This is a map of your known world. The Spawn-Legion is believed to be amassing in the distant, uncharted reaches of the Frozen Wastes. A great army must be created with the contributions of each nation to combat and eradicate the Legion once and for all. However, the races that live on this world are drastically different, with their own cultures and beliefs. Some may be more willing to fight than others.
Hello RPGuilders, the following is a RP more unorthodox than most of the RP's I've been used to, as such, this may be great fun, or it may go horribly wrong. Keep reading for more details!
Welcome to Ilya, a hub for Nightlife of all genres. This is the city of extremes, here you'll find connoisseurs of finest wines, and connoisseurs of the hardest drugs. Outside of the City's affluent core is a rampant underworld, with a ring of inbetween in the middle. Our RP will be taking place within this middle area, as order and chaos mingle together in a volatile mix. The only question is, which ones of us will come out alive?
Concept:
This is a type of murder mystery Roleplay, the only catch is, the objective is to catch the murderer before he commits a murder. Who will the murder be? It will be one of you. Who will the victim be? Also one of you. There will be no slew of GM created NPC's to sift through and pin blame on. No, you will be mingling amongst yourselves, always watching your back. As GM, I will be forcing your characters into potentially dangerous situations with eachother as you go about your stay here in Ilya.
How To Play:
This RP will either be conducted in a series of rounds, or a single long round until the killer is caught. I am likely going to do the series of rounds option, this way players don't have to wait ages for the killer to be caught or for all the other characters to be killed off.
Anyway, how this will work is, at the beginning of the round, I will PM each of you players about your "Status" in the game. That will either be "Victim" or "Hitman". The Hitman will then be given a "Target", one of the Victims. Following that I will throw all of your characters into the game world where they will begin interacting with eachother. The Goal of the Victims is to locate and apprehend(or kill) the Hitman before the Hitman kills his Target. The Hitman's goal is to kill his target in a way that doesn't raise warning to the others.
Here's the issue though, you're not a bunch of Cops hunting down one man. You all know eachother or know of eachother. Your friends with eachother, enemies with eachother, acquaintances with eachother.
To commit a murder, the Hitman will send a PM to both me and the target detailing how the murder was carried out. If it works and is covert, the Hitman will continue posting as a normal and the Victim will write a post describing his death in a way that does NOT incriminate the Hitman. So instead of "X stabbed Y who fell to the ground" the post would read "Y felt a knife slip between his ribs and he collapsed as the blood poured from the wound." Remaining Victims must then use their powers of inference to guess and catch the Hitman before the Hitman gets away.
If the murder is more obvious, such as a shooting in broad daylight, the whole PM deal can be skipped and the Hitman can just reveal himself and post "X pulls out a gun and shoots Y 5 times in the chest".
Every round we play will have a new Hitman and a new Target, or if we decide to play a single long round, the Hitman will receive a new Target after killing his first.
Hitman:
You are the Hitman. You, for some reason or another have the intent to kill one of your acquaintances. Perhaps a vendetta, perhaps for love? The reason and motive is yours alone. Your task is to kill your target without raising alarm. That means you probably should not pull out a gun and shoot them in the middle of the street, although you can if you really want.
Victims:
You are the Victim. You may not be the Victim of the murder, but you have the potential to be. Keep everyone around you close for there is safety in numbers, yet keep them far enough away from you that a knife can't be slipped inbetween your ribs. Your task is to apprehend the Hitman before he can kill his target, or failing that, catching him or even killing him before he can get away.
It's been a year since the team's battle in Demien's world. Now they have the full support of the elves as well as what they gained at Demien's fortress. But that was merely the beginning. The Dark Counsel turns its attention to the old myths and legends, eager to gain powers and equipment previously thought to be pure fiction. The team must race to find these mythical items and knowledge before the Counsel does. Will they succeed? Or will this be the End of the multiverse as we know it? Join the team as they race from one danger to another on an adventure never seen before by mortal eyes. For when the Darkness rises, we are the ones who stand in its way.
Around 10, 11 years ago on the VGDC forums there once was a thread, a magical thread that made two years fly by in the blink of an eye. A thread of endless possibilities and bursting with creativity. Anything could happen (And often did) and a where a ton of RPers worked together to create a constantly changing, dynamic story. This, was the "If We Were All Stranded On An Island" thread. Essentially a "Choose Your Own Adventure" RPG Styled thread that started off as silly shenanigans but evolved into so much more.
IWWASIE is along the same lines, a non-guided RP where you decide what happens to your character: Go about a slice of life style if everyday dregs fancies you, or come up with an interesting storyline that we can all participate in. It's up to you, play the way YOU want to play.

It has been thousands of years since the Mad Kind descended into an ancient tomb of the old world, never to be seen again. His words still live however as a curse, shattering the once glorious empires of old into squabbling, petty states and kingdoms. It twisted races to try and eradicate one another. It drove the elves to split, creating the Luni that became blinded by their own light, the Mandi who began worshiping death in hopes of rebirth, and the wild elves, forever hateful of the cities and their ways.
His curse caused the serene Tindras, a mighty people of the sands, to forsake their god and loose their immortality. It cursed them with fleeting and shortening lives. It made the Dwarves lose themselves to greed and gave the humans a unquenchable thirst for power.
Worst was the fate of the Shadowborne. Their own darkness became a curse, their kind mistaken for demons and hell-fiends. Their status as scholars tainted by false rumors of necromancy and vile experimenting.
Uliar, the world of strife and endless war lies on the brink of a new disaster, just as it began to truly recover for the first time. It's the old tombs uncovered in the north that whispers of a second coming, the birth of a new Mad King. This is the story about those that would play a part in this new crisis and how they helped shaped the world.
