The bus was running a little late today, if only by a few minutes as it reached the bus stop to take the citizens waiting for their ride to work. It was the usual rubbish starting off with showing the bus pass and to take a seat, followed by a few bumps and stops along the way. Ben was on this ride for about twenty minutes, stopping off at several places to pick up some more and to drop off some; only strange thing about the ride was something pretty obvious, especially when concerning the fact that Ben was always the odd one out on this ride. Everybody was human, Ben was covered in feathers and had a tail. There was always one or two that would stare at his strange figure, even though supernatural beings had been around for a few years now. The acceptance was always going to take a while, but when you were one that didn't have many other of your kind roaming around. There wasn't many other dinosaur people roaming around in the city, but when the trip across the area wasn't all that long he only had to bear with it for just a little bit while giving those who did stare a good staring back as if he was fascinated with them in return. Getting off at his stop, he shook his feathers before making his way off to his workplace. It was probably a little better knowing that he was working with other supernatural creatures and gave him less pressure to try and be human-like, especially when he hadn't had enough years to study such a strange way of life. His kind were incredibly long lived, but in the eyes of his kind he was still a kid that was learning the ropes while trying to act adult at the same time by holding onto a job.
Ben's time at the restaurant wasn't long, his skills in cooking and kitchen work was primitive at best; however, the real advantage he had when it came to being one of his kind was his intelligence and magic. He could hold onto recipes incredibly easy without pushing out old information, not to mention his magical abilities gave him an advantage when it came to enchanting the food and making it appear all the more tastier and hygienic. Ben was pretty good at this job, even if it didn't quite feel like his true calling in life. It was always a strange thing to be a supernatural creature and be forced to work if he wanted his kind to be accepted, but he did try to adapt to the best of his ability in the end. Ben didn't arrive late to the doors despite the bus being late itself, but even then he appeared a little panicked as if he was half an hour late. Making a rush to the back, his little feet tapped across the stony floor and into the kitchen as if trying to hide the fact that he thought he was late.
