Bella walked down the road quietly towards a building, the walking dead around her not seeming to even notice her. Now and then one would try to take a bite out of her, but she'd just silently cut it down with a switchblade and continue on her way. Can head back without some fuel for my Land Rover... Too bad my aunt's farm is just slightly too far from here to walk... Otherwise I wouldn't have to walk around to find some fuel. She thought. She reached the building, and walked in silently, hardly any Walker's noticing her.

Hearing they found someone in the basement, Hunter ran around the corner and saw them looking into the window just as Jack threw in the flare. " Guys it looks like there's a set of stairs on the south east corner, Hunter said as he stood up and tan to that corner of the building. As he ran around the corner he noticed where the basement door had been opened recently and as he lifted it he saw several broken wooden stair steps.

Carefully making his way down the stairs he went to the corner where the young girl was calling for help.

"It's ok now" he said gently "I found ya and we're gonna get you out of here"

Hearing that they may have found their missing companioin, Rhea stopped her search inside the store and made her way over to the building that the others were now crowding around. "Oh? You guys found her? Awesome." She said and smiled happily. Rhea wasn't the type to go on without everyone she'd started with. She then walked over to Jack and watched as he pried open one of the doors.

Riku had also stopped his search where he was and moved over to the group. "Let's not jump to conclusions...it could be anyone...or anything." He examined the broken window and then looked around for an entrance to the building. He kicked it down and called out. "Let's see if we can get through this way. It should be easier." He walked through ruble and trash, searching for the basement door.

Jack already had his stilletto out and ready for whatever was lurking in the darkness. With only two bullets left, he didn't want to waste it in case it was absolutely necessary. Jack followed Riku with Reese beside him holding out his chair leg. The bright red glow along with the crackling hiss of the fire filled the entire basement except for a few dark corners. The floor was riddled with dirt and debris from years of neglect. The floor seemed to be raw concrete, veined with cracks and splits. One misstep could trip you up and leave you open for a suprise attack. The key was to walk slow and stable. "Hello? Are you hurt?" Jack softly called out but no response was given...

Reece waited for a reply after Jack called out. It was calm, and quiet, almost peaceful though peace didn't exactly exist anymore.
Reece took point whilst Riku and Jack cautiously followed behind.
I guess arrogance kind of took over, it wasn't a great idea considering he currently held the weakest weapon.

He continued to lead ahead, slowly enlarging the gap between himself and the others.
*Thud*
A crack in the floor tripped Reece to the ground and the make-shift weapon rolled from out of his hands and into the darkness of the room.
Once the rolling noise of the wooden chair leg came to a halt, another noise arose and it didn't sound friendly.

Rhea watched as the three of the entered the building before doing so herself, occasionally glancing back every so often to make sure nothing attacked them from behind. A light chill creeped up her spine once she realized that they would be in total darkness inside the obviously run down building and old memories of scary things that she thought of in her youth began to resurface. Unfortunately, she had a slight fear or the dark, so, when somebody fell somewhere in front of her, Rhea involuntarily let out a small yelp. "Uhm, are you okay up there?" She called out softly and tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. There's nothing down here....There's nothing down here...

Riku looked at Reece. "Are you okay?" He didn't bother helping him up, just made sure he didn't break anything important...like limbs. His attentions turned hearing the yelp from Rhea. "It was just Reece." He looked down into the darkness of the basement. "We'll that's obviously not safe..." He kicked a piece of ruble down, causing what looked like a dying cat, to retreat. "Gross..."
Yet another hiss came from the darkness.

Upon hearing a growling in the corner, Akira freezes, unable to call back to the others. She starts breathing in short, choppy, wheezing gasps, her body locked and shaking. She faintly hears the door open and footsteps coming down the stairs. Some muttering, the sound of someone falling, but all she could focus on was the growling. She finally lifts an arm, the one holding the flashlight, and bangs it down on the cold floor, the metal ringing through the stone room, trying to signal the others.

Reece manages to pick himself up from the floor evading any form of danger lurking in the darkness.
Once standing, a sudden loud noise of something dropped to the floor echos inside the room.
Reece looks back towards the others, everyone's face, blank. Everyone tense.
The noise stopped ringing and the room filled with silence.

"Umm, what was tha-" ...

Suddenly something grabs Reece and wrestles him to the floor. He puts a hand round its neck holding its head back and managing to avoid being bitten.
The crushing weight of the zombie hurling its body and arms around on top of Reece manages to wind Reece and leave him breathless on the ground.
In a blind panic he pushes the zed to the side and rolls on top of it, now swapping the hold. He continues holding it's neck down and using his other arm to push its arms away and avoid being scratched. "What are you waiting for? Kill it!" he shouted towards the group.
