Ten Commandments for Immortals, semi-immortals, and power users on Terra Forma/Earth
• Thou shalt not kill by use of magic. A plea of self-defense is allowed in mitigation, though it seems to work only rarely. Probation is only granted if Judge or the Patriarch of a Holy family is willing to tie their life to the warlock's. Templar’s often wield swords when detaining and executing warlocks to avoid a technical infraction of this Law. Wardens, or Fey-kin employed by the Vatican, are allowed to use lethal magic against other mortals; Wardens are allowed some latitude in the heat of combat, as obviously in battle they are employed with the consent of the Triumvant, or rather this is an extension of the latitude of self-defense. The use of magic to kill non-mortal beings, on the other hand, is lawful.
• Thou shalt not transform others.
• Thou shalt not invade the mind of another.
• Thou shalt not enthrall another. Enthrallment is the term for magically dominating another through binding their will to one's own. It is not the same as compelling non-human beings through arrangements or exchanges; if there is no actual control over the being's mind through magic, the Law is not broken. It is implied that this is one of the Laws which applies to ALL
• Thou shalt not reach beyond the Borders of Life. This Law prohibits both research into and the practice of necromancy, described as the summoning, binding and exploitation of the unwilling dead. The Law applies specifically to human necromancy, though it is implied that the distinction for use upon animals is all the same frowned upon. It is unknown if this rule would apply to dead non-human sentients. It is rumored that certain vampires are vulnerable to necromancy in an unspecified fashion, and it is unknown if such use would constitute a breaking of the Law. Communicating with spirits of the dead who are willing to do so is not a violation of this law.
• Thou shalt not swim against the Currents of Time. This prohibits any attempt to change the past through temporal manipulation for fear of paradoxes. Even magical prediction is frowned upon except in the vaguest, most general forms. However, some beings exist in the past, present, and future at once, and that such beings can be dangerous for this reason.
• Thou shalt not seek beyond the Outer Gates. What the "Outer Gates" are is unknown, but the implication is that they mark the furthest boundaries of Dresden's multiverse. Beings from beyond the Gates are known as chaos-shards, like Vladdis Dragu, and are among the deadliest known threats to humanity

Almost Everything You Could Ever Need To Know About Magical Combat
The Prime Races– These are the races created prior to the existence of Eden and the rise and fall of the first mortal race, Humans.
Seraphim - serve as the caretakers of God's throne. The Seraphim have six wings. Two wings cover their face, two cover their body, and two cover their feet.
Known Seraphim – It is said that there are four of them surrounding God's throne, where they burn eternally from love and zeal for God.
Saraphiel – Vision/Head of an Eagle.
Metatron – de facto Ruler of Heaven whilst God is unresponsive. Only speaks to other Seraphim and Arch Angel Michael.
Cherubim – serve as Guardians. They are known to guard the path to ‘Sephiro-desor’ or the Tree of Life. They also guard the path leading to the Throne of the Creator. Cherubim have four forms. He can assume a normal/man, a power/ox, a leading/lion, and flight/eagle forms. They have four conjoined wings covered with eyes, a lion's body figure, and they have ox's feet. In their true form, each form is a separate head.
Thrones or Ophanim – The Avenging Angels or Angels of Judgement are unusual looking even compared to the other celestial beings; They appear as a beryl-coloured wheel-within-a-wheel, their rims covered with hundreds of eyes. They deal out the judgement of heaven.
The ArchAngels – The Highest of all Seraphim, 7 were said to have been created.
Michael – The Champion of Heaven
Michael leads the combined armies of Heaven. He is the General, Tactician, and trainer of these armies and The Creator’s essential second in command after Lucifiel’s fall. He has an inordinate hate for his youngest sibling Gabriel, blaming him for the fall of Heaven’s favored son, Lucifiel. Completely obedient to the Creator’s orders. He is also the Arch Angel that came to Earth and destroyed the combined Rebel armies that besieged the Vatican, also responsible for lifting it into the sky and giving Earth the ability to tap into pure anima and harness it with holy technology.
Raphael – The Guardian of the Seals
Not much is known besides rumor and legend. He is said to have a head of fiery hair that grows with his passions and rages. He is said to wiled a great bow that neither Michael, nor the largest of giants has ever been able to pull. Though it is said that Gabriel was able to bend the bow back almost to its full length. The most known rumor of Raphael is the story of the ‘War of Wings’. After the ‘Fall of Lucifiel’ the other immortal races believed the Angelic Choir weakened enough that they could prove themselves worthier protectors of the beloved Creator.
Dragons, Unicorns, the Fae and all other creatures, though the ruling class of Fae, known as Daemon, knew the futility of this effort and did not condone it. After the battle, Michael ordered Raphael to bind each race that rebelled against heaven a curse. Iron for the fae, Dragon’s were sealed from being on Terra Forma at all.
A rule was placed on creation, unless granted permission by a Higher being (Creator, Corruptor, or Destroyer), all Prime being are bound by the Guardian Seal. This seal was created specifically by Raphael, with the help of the other ArchAngels to lessen the strength of immortal beings on the mortal plane to certain percentages of their complete strength, relative to it’s capacity to incite unnatural change in moral behavior and society.
It is also believed that he was the one to Seal Tartaro, the cage for Lucifiel and the Fallen, on the living side, whilst Death sealed it from the unliving side. As well as binding the Queen of the Dragons, Ballatrasix, into a sphere of anima.
Uriel – The Fire of God, The Grim Reaper
When the Creator created his first 6 Seraphim – Michael, the twins Raphael & Seraphiel, Metatron, Lucifiel and Gabriel, Death the Destroyer asked of his brother, to create him an offspring, combining their two natures, this is Uriel.
He is the most silent of the ArchAngels and where as all other angels are a smooth, human-like form of pure light, he cloaks this form with robes of ash grey which are the outside of his wings, an ashy grey on the outside and a pure white on their insides. He is the head of all Reapers on Earth and regulates in the land of the living who is next to goto the land of the dead.
Upon Gabriel’s fall from Heaven and split into separate entities, he also became the Watcher for his brother’s Grace and Wings.
Lucifiel – The Illuminated One, The False Tongue
God’s favorite son, was the first Watcher on Terra-Forma(Earth) with his brother Gabriel as his protégé. They would sit and think, watching the world grow. It is said that Gabriel first posed the question ‘Why must we worship them, we came first and if we wanted, could destroy them with the beat of a feather.’ He said this as an idle thought and once said, let it go.
Lucifiel had been ever obedient to The Creator, emulating both him and Michael’s humbleness towards him. Upon posing this question to Michael he was scolded and told never to question the Father. He posed the question to his father anyway, tainted by hurt at his brother’s reaction. And as they say, the rest is Ancient History.
(reserved CS)Gabriel – The Messenger, The Watcher, The All Seeing on Earth
Gabriel’s whereabouts now are only known to the highest level of Angels and those near the highest circles in the supernatural worlds known of his fall, though not what has become of him.
Feeling guilty, after Lucifiel’s rebellion he ground his ArchAngelic blade – The Spear of Destiny – into the Earth, refusing to join in the battle.
He wandered the Earth for millennia posing as different figures in different lands. Zeus in Greece, whilst he mated with anything walking attempting to drown his grief in human flesh, he traveled as Odin the wanderer, giving advice to those who were lost.
Eventually he was required to serve once more, during his time posing as a sorcerer known as Merlin. He owed Michael a favor, having left his spear laying around, in Michaels view, so that it could be used to slay The Christ. He helped Michael to sleep with the wife of the Duke of Orkney, against both his better judgment and her wishes. He dressed his brother in the guise of the Duke, though Michael was now on Earth in the mortal form of Uther Pendragon. From this negativity was born the Great Warrior child Arthur Pendragon and from him came the one known as Dread ‘The Crimson Fang’ Pendragon(reserved CS)
He continued his tenure on Earth as the mentor of Arthur with one rule. He was to in no way, influence the life of Arthur’s heir for he would be the Second coming of the Christ, this time as a Warrior-Savior, along the lines of King David. But, the Void had other plans, under the guise of Vincent D. the chaos-shard known as Vladiss Dragul not to be mistaken with the demon prince, Dracula Lord of Blood, he corrupted Morgan of the Fey. Morgan, the daughter of Arthur’s mother and a Daemon, now banished beneath Terra-Forma and taking the name Elvain, meaning The Highest Below, or as humans called them, Devils.
Earlier in her years, before Merlin’s tutelage of her brother, she had begged and pleaded with Merlin to train her. Going so far as to threaten him with the armies of her Step-father, The Duke of Orkney, and then that night attempting to sneak, naked, into his bed and seduce him. To which he reacted by banishing from his sight on punishment of death.
The hurt and anger she felt, lead her to Vladiss Dragul who did train her in the Art of true Madness, not Darkness, which is what Gabriel/Merlin had sensed within her along with her great potential power. But, following orders once more, he was told it was Arthur he was to train, not Morgana, by Michael.
The rift this built would finally culminate in the ‘Deal of Death, between Creator and Destroyer to save the life of the Savior, as well as Gabriel, in his angelic fury, breaking the first rule of Creation, ‘Never seek beyond the Outer Gates’. In his vengeful attack on Vladiss Dragul, attempting to keep him form the battle with Arthur, which he had no intention on attending. Vladiss lures Gabriel, known in their Dark Prophecies, as ‘…the key to salvation for all of creation,’ to the Outer Gates, where they do battle. The only way Gabriel can defeat Vladiss this near to his power source is by opening the Outer Gates briefly and pushing him back through.
When he goes to do this, they are already unlocked and slightly ajar, he forces Vladiss through and shuts the Gate. Michael, Raphael and Uriel appear then, having already reached a verdict on his punishment. Michael decrees that:
“He shalt be stripped of his form, banished to the land of mortality which he would do anything, even break the rules of our father for. He shall never be whole, bound, cursed, and sealed to Terra Form, to forever be reincarnated in two forms. To one will go his Grace, and with it his holiness, and to the second will go his Wings, the power behind an Arch Angel. They shall be doomed to be drawn to each other and any relationship they have is doomed to death, destruction and demise for all those surrounding them. Misery he has brought us twice now, the loss of our brother and now the loss of our father, let him live twice his life living the misery he has wrought.”
And thus, he was bound, the curse sealed into his angelic anima, by Raphael. Set above, as his watcher, was his brother Uriel, to see to it that Gabriel does not attempt escape.
Devils(Elvain or Daemons)
The Mortal Races – these are the races that were created for life on Terra-Forma/Earth. (They are all descended from the first Man and Women – Adam, Lillith, and Eve.

Djinns – The Nephlihm is a hidden nation descended from the scattered remnants of the Rebel army that Michael destroyed. Mostly they look to be of a middle-eastern decent, do to the inter breeding in the past several thousand years. They have eyes that span the color spectrum, but all are very dark shades. The same can be said of their hair colors as well.
The seiphrot – This is a phenomena that has recently been increasing, but only has happened within Nephlihm. People have been born with the same dark hair and eye color as their people, but as they age, the colors begin to lighten. Eventually so does their body, brightening as if an inner light has begin to grow hotter and hotter within their core. This happens at varying rates, but is said to be due to the closeness in Light anima energy to that of an Angel.

Royal Family – When the world rebelled against the Vatican, a leader arose within their ranks. His family is said to be descended of the affair between Lancelot and Guinivere and are named the Sterlings
The Sterling Curse – Doomed to betray those closest to them, through varying means.
Supreme obedience to any in the Pendragon bloodline.
Lancelot was said to be the purest of warriors. He was born an orphan and was raised and trained by a Cherub, Vivianel also known as The Lady of the Lake and Guardian of the Ancient Heavenly Anima Excalibur.
Guinivere was said to be a beauty of the purest and noblest heart. No one knows where this pure beauty is said to have hailed from, somewhere in the Arabic countries. She had the title of Magdalena and is said to be descended from the line of Kings, the line of Mary Magdelene or the Mother Mary herself.
King Seth Sterling
The current king is a large man, of olympain dynamics. HE is in his mid/late forties and is strong of build. He is darker of skin then most of the Kings in Rebellion, having familial ties to the true Djinn.
Former-King – Feral Odinson
The King was assassinated in front of his daughter. He was best friends with the current king, Seth, they grew up together and are distantly related.
Queen Magdelena’el’Alliandre Sterling
Descended directly of Guinivere, she holds the title of Magdelena. She is Caucasian, with hair and eyes of pure white. She is also a prophetess, seer, and possibly the strongest user of the Fifth Element on Terra-Forma, but she can only use her powers to assist and create, never to destroy.
After her husbands murder, she blessed his dearest friend, highest ranking officer, and second in command, Seth Sterling, with the role of leadership. Eventually the two fell in love, Seth had always had love for her and her daughter and immediately took them in. Eventually they had a child of their own, el’Asheroth-Kai Sterling.
Princess el’Lillianna Sterling (seiphrot) (reserved CS)
Born to the sword, raised by the sword as well as the birthright of nobility. She is a professional in etiquette. At 10 she was tasked with the mission of infiltrating the Templars. She was sent to school in Caravalle under her mother’s maiden name Valkyrie. In her final year, she met a new academy recruit named Akzel Payne. Though he was green, they hit it off immediately.
Prior to her graduation, she had been training under Judge Dread the number Judge Uno. He was also her Mentor during her Graduation Mission. Currently she holds the rank of Templar #9.
‘Lily’, as ‘Ax’ calls her, returns to Caravalle often to check in on Akzel and tell him stories of her adventures, promising to become his Mentor upon his graduation.
Prince el’Asheroth Kai Sterling (seiphrot of Prophecy) (reserved CS)
I know giving people many options sometimes makes building a character’s power0set more difficult. This section will constantly be updated as new power-sets are created as a sort of stock-character compilation so feel free to steal from here, but know if you are editing a person’s created race you MUST have permission from them.
Magic is using mana from your surroundings to cast a spell. What types of spells you are able to cast is vastly dependant on what form mana is stored in your body. Your body acts somewhat like a battery with reverse memory. It stores a certain amount of energy in one form, which can be converted to a different form when needed. Also the more you use magic, the more mana can be stored in your body. Although the body is not the only medium for magic, it is the most fundamental form of control.
All use of magic non holy in nature is forbidden and punishable by imprisonment, searing (the power being removed) and permanent entry into military service. But, over the years certain practices have become punishable by death.
• Tainted Mysticismhere
• Oneiromancy/Dream Manipulation(Anima or Physical)
No one has any idea where the idea came from, only that it has been used for as long as anyone can remember. Also, it is known that in the time before The Vatican’s rule, the Sentinel did NOT exist. The Sentinel bond has distinct benefits for both parties. The Sentinel gains greater stamina and physical prowess, a greater capacity to resist evil, the ability to sense shadowspawn at a distance, and greater resistance to injury. The Seelie, for their part, gains a bodyguard, confidant and ally-in-schemes who is intrinsically linked to them and can be compelled, to a certain extent, through the bond. Both parties are able to sense the other's general location, physical well-being and, to some extent, emotional state.
When the bond with a Sentinel is broken they rarely survive. The Sentinel completely loses the will to live and will almost always die attempting to avenge his Seelie. The breaking of the bond is also terrible for Seelie, creating so much emotional turmoil for them that often Seelie may hermit themselves away.
-It is hinted in certain scriptures that upon an unnatural death the Seelie or Sentinel pushes his or her remaining years onto their bonded partner.
Summoning is the act of bringing a distant willing object of any kind to your current location. Summoning is preformed by placing some kind of tag to distinguish the object on the summoning, and then relocating them in front of you by placing any part of your hand onto the ground(or below your feet if you are airborn). If the object has any magic of its own, it will resist magical interference, so to summon it one must have already defeated it. Because your body has to remember each tag you place, it is very difficult for beginners to summon.
• Gaining of a Summon MUST be RPed unless otherwise stated by a GM
• Summons have a 3 round cool down after being un-summoned
• Players must make a SS for their Summons and be approved PRIOR to Summon Quest
-Not meeting posting standards consistently, or refusing to modify a post when requested will get you booted from the RP. This will be especially true for the first few posts to ensure players can post at the level they say they can.
- All character applications are posted in this thread.
- No god-modding. Don’t go around and controlling other people’s characters, that’s just annoying.
-No instant death. Actually links to the previous rule, since it requires that you control another character to kill it. Another player-controlled character can only die if the RP'er agree beforehand.
- Kissing, hugging and such is allowed, and so is mating to a certain extent – but do NOT go around and describe the entire act of mating. If anything, make a time-skip from when the act begins to when it ends. We don’t want any vulgarities here. Take it to PMs if you really need to type it out.
- You may have only one character, but you can create and control as many NPCs as you want, although you should remain aware that these are NPCs, not your personal characters.
- While there are no direct limits on how powerful your character may be, nor what race it can be, please refrain from being completely invincible. Remember, there are others playing here too. If your character is too politically or personally powerful, I reserve the right to require you to change the character or outright deny it.
- Posting is not allowed until I have approved your character.
- Each IC post should maintain a decent length and should offer at least some development for your character or the plot. The current minimum length of IC posts is two proper paragraphs, but I retain the right to change this at any time. The quality of your writing should be at least borderline advanced.
- If you are unable to post for a longer period of time (more than four days, for instance) tell us first.
- A maximum of six posts can be written by two players taking turns at posting without anyone else posting in-between is allowed (that is, three posts per player). If two days pass without input from anyone else posting, this maximum is reset. After another two days another six posts are allowed, and so forth (although hopefully that long periods of inactivity can be avoided).
-When introducing a magic item, you must get it approved.
-The newcomer's package contains everything you must read to join.
- All Arch Angels are considered NPC simply for canonical issues.

1. I expect your bio to reflect how much you are willing to post. A good size would be 3 paragraphs(400 words), but more importantly, tie your character's past to their present.

-Pictures are encouraged for appearance, but if you choose to write out the appearance, you should include: eye color, complexion, height, hair length, hair color, muscle tone, apparel preferences, any noticeable marks, and anything else you come up with.
-Please ensure you have at least acceptable grammar at all times. To attract new RPers, we need to display a good grasp of mechanics. If you aren't the best at english, then please run your post through spell check, and read the post aloud before submitting.
-This system is less complex than it looks. It is designed to have a vast amount of information, but the amount actually used is quite minimal. There is little point in reading sections explaining magic your character won't use. Save yourself the effort, and just look through sections as they apply to you. And should something seem difficult to understand or complicated, just ask me.
The year is 2112, the Vatican has been the ruling body of the world ever since The Weaning, where truly demon possessed men, women and even a child in China, were taken on national television and exorcised by a Judge, warrior-general of the holy orders, that was born and raised in that countries upper class. This was an event that staggered the world, no longer were the things that go bump in the night a taboo. Within a year the Church had taken back its influence over the European continent. America fell almost before the first reruns hit the news and before long everyone else had fallen suit, except for the Middle East as well as the Asian continent, though Japan did sign under Neveaux Vatican rule.
The Vatican’s new leaders, the Friar-King, Queen-Mother and the former Nazi war criminal turned holy man, INSERT NAME HERE, the newly instated Lord-Pope, could not let these rebellious actions stand and in a single stroke, instituted the U.S. contingency plan for Nuclear War as well as that of Russia. In one night China and the Middle East were demolished, leaving a barren land where nothing would be able to grow for millennia to come.
Though now under Vatican rule, this show of power over what had at one time been known as the two greatest World Powers on Earth caused unrest in the other nations who began secretly making deals for a coup on the supposedly unsuspecting Vatican. For several long months the nations of France and French-Canada, Amexica (as the nations of Mexico and America are known) and the remnants of the Middle East, now hidden in the Machu Pichu Mountains, secretly plotted a full assault on Vatican City.
The day came, nicknamed V-day, by soldiers involved, every nation believed the Vatican had been caught unaware, but they were sadly mistaken. The entire time The Vatican had known of their plot. When the full strength of the several rebellious nations gathered, surrounding Vatican City from all sides, they thought the day was theirs. Until the second event an event that would change the world forever.
The skies parted and a brilliant light poured through and surrounded Vatican City, standing between the united rebellious nations and the Vatican stronghold. The clouds closed once more and the brightness calmed. From here, no one knows what happened exactly. The collective story, from those that survived and could speak of it without breaking into uncontrollable shivers, is that apparently from any angle or distance the man that appeared could be seen and heard clearly as if he were only a few feet before them. The man was a giant, though his actual height is believed to be exaggerated (some say it was as large as 60 ft.), he stood amongst them and asked them a series of questions. No one will say what was asked. The only facts are that of the over 3,000,000 soldiers 60, from the Middle East, 4 from France and 9 from it’s sister nation French-Canada survived to come home. But, from the nation of America, 0 returned.
After this “Last Battle” The Vatican proclaimed the Apocalypse at an End, that the man who had appeared to everyone, yet no one could remember, was the Arch Lord-General Michael of Heaven and he, speaking in The Creator’s stead, claimed authority over Earth for the Vatican and those of the Holy body. All combat capabilities were stripped from these nations. All other nations armies were annexed into the fighting body of the Vatican.
Crucio de Romanus Offensive Shock Soldiers
SpoilerThe Vatican army is made of three parts.
The fighting body, Crossmen, as they were dubbed for carrying the majority of the work on their underfed and malnourished soldiers. At the age of 13 boys are conscripted to 4 years of military service. Holy born children end up as officers or, if they show true aptitude in combat, begin training as a Templar.
The combat class, for the Holy ones, as the nobles are now called, the Templars have the best training and equipment. This is where the noble place their children for tutelage. Most holy born children are sent to boarding schools at the age of 10, where they stay for 4 years of schooling by the Vatican’s brightest scholars. This is followed by 4 years of military service required of all nations. Each enlisted member is ranked with a number up to Number 9, nine being the highest rank one can achieve as a Templar. The teachers are pulled from the upper ranks of the Templars themselves, though in special cases, or for special training, training may be handled by one of the Templar elite, the Judges.
The Judges are the Soldiers 1st Class of C.R.O.S.S. and serve as the personal guardians to the Holy Triumvant. 2 for each member and one free at all times to see to the apprentices training. Only 7 may exist at any time with 1 apprentice serving as rookie, squire, and servant to the entirety of the group for a year and a day, followed by a year and a day under the personal tutelage of the Friar-King, Queen-Mother, and Lord-Pope.

This just explains where different kinds of information are stored in the thread and what to expect.
The OP itself is an evolving medium. It will always contain new information, and update frequently. It is a tool that you use, not information you memorize. Just look at it whenever you need to know something for a post or you will give yourself a headache. The information itself won't change, but it will always remain there for the new players and in case anyone forgets how something works. If worst comes to worst, and you make a mistake, I will simply inform you that the post needs to be edited, so no worries.
The thread status contains information about due dates and rounds. Your post is always due on the next sunday after the end of the previous round, so you always have a week or longer to get a post out. It is a good thing to read when you check on the OOC. If your name is in red, that is my way of saying you can't miss another round. It saddens me when people miss a round, because it makes me feel like: you don't enjoy posting in this thread, you have too much on your plate with this adding to it, and/or you don't respect me and the other RPers enough to ensure the longevity of this RP. My style of GMing is about networking with everyone and having fun. If you don't want to care about the people and story, then this is a bad fit for you.
This contains information about the actual world such as the day, where things are located, and information about our characters that doesn't belong in the CS.
A highly detailed guide to magical combat, equipped with a lengthy example. It is quite massive, but not nearly as scary as you might think. If you have any questions about it, just ask. It should also be noted that combat is a completely optional part of the RP, so if it is too much trouble, you can ignore it entirely.
This contains everyone allowed to post in the RP with all of this characters. User names link to profiles, while characters link to their individual CS. Because the characters are in a link, you are permitted to change your character to some extent. Please do not be one of those people who updates the bio so that the character can sympathy with another, or change the most basic features of your character like their magic, traits, or edit out things from the bio. The thing is there so if you are interacting with a character, you know enough about the character to describe them.
An evolving index of magic. If we encounter something new, it will find its way in the hider. Look here if you want have your character learn different subjects, or encounter/use those magics themselves. If a subject isn't there or you don't understand, ask me about it.
