"Usurp the King they said. He knows about the Entities they said. A lot of horseshit, if you ask me. I never would have believed it, but if there is one thing I know now, it's that they aren't to be trifled with. They know what they're doing."
The Savage War
It hasn't been that long since the King had first decided the tribal nations to the south were unfit for walking upon the lands of Gaia, but to the people of the Oscure Kingdom, it has felt like a hundred years. It is stagnant. Bloody. Unending. What power in metal and magic the Oscure armies deploy the tribes throw back in sheer number and ferocity. But no sign of exhaustion is in sight; both are deeply entrenched within this wartime way of life, and neither seems willing or ready to revert back to a peacetime. Nevertheless, there are some who desire... No. Demand that the Savage Wars end.
Known perfectly only to a select few high-class individuals, the King had been visited by an inhuman entity referring to itself only as "We". The shadowy figure somehow found its way directly into the King's castle, evading guards and its inhabitants without raising any alarms. Within the King's private study room, it spoke to him.
"You will end these bloody battles utterly and completely, or face the consequences."
The King, with his haughty and prideful nature, carelessly passed off the "assassin's request" even after the entity asked twice more.
"Very well then, you have sealed your decision, and We will not waste time speaking to you any longer. Your kingdom faces and ill fate, and none can be blamed save yourself. You have been warned."
The King thought himself mighty in warding away an 'assassin' and was all the more perky that night; he had just laid waste to an entire village the very same morning. A glorious day it was.
The First Wave
They came like demons from hell, raising from the ground as if made of ghastly magic. As tall as giants and as black as a wraith, they laid waste to countless homes and buildings in the greatest three cities in Oscure. The mightiest of knights attempted to subdue them in their unabated rampage, but found that even their strongest magicks were nothing but pinpricks upon their incorporeal bodies.
They were invincible, capable of demolishing entire castles with but the battering of an eye. Just as quickly as they had appeared, they left, leaving smoldering ruins in their wake and countless dead. This had come to be known as The First Wave; just one of many to come. Every year on the same day they reappeared and did as they had done just before. But they always arrived seemingly too late; with all the power of Oscura, what was once destroyed had been rebuilt. The war continued on without pause.

Rules and Links
- No arguing. At all.
- If you're going to submit a character. please don't leave. I won't chase after you if you disappear for awhile, and so you are at high risk for being dropped quickly. Please keep in touch in the OOC to notify all of us that you're still in this. If you need to be absent for awhile, just let us know, it's completely fine. I have ways of ensuring everything progresses in your absence and still keep you in.
- No posting limit or posting minimum (but remember, this is Casual, and their rules take precedent over mine), but don't make anything into a 1x1. It's generally best that before you make another post that you let at least a couple (2-3) other players post themselves.
- Though you guys will be playing characters that could theoretically clear a castle out on their own, I expect some 'professionalism' in that it's better to do something that makes the plot more interesting for everyone than simply for yourself. I don't want anyone solving issues instantly, or completing dangerous tasks without difficulty. The basic thing to come away with this is "Make things Interesting for Everyone".
- All other stuff you need to know should already be readily apparent.
