Not So Innocent Love (Arclite&Country Girl)

Another day had come to shine over the beaten up city known as Lithelm Heights, It was a cold morning this particular day when a particular gang leader whom many knew as the King of Lithelm, woke up in his out've city suburban home, getting up, his dark brown eyes moved across the bed and with a crack of his neck, he got up, opening his phone, he had a message from one of his boys. Opening it he decided to find out what was up and why he was being bothered with it so early in the morning, his gang which was rather large for most groups, knew not to bug him right in the middle of the night unless it was an emergency. Dialing Stevens number, he stared out the window, still wearing nothing but his boxers. After all that is what he slept in.
Once it was picked up, A faint voice could be heard on the other end.
"Yeah Steve? Ya called me, what's up?" He said, heading toward the bathroom to do his normal routine.
Once he was in the bathroom, he stared at himself in the mirrors, seeing a number of scars on his chest, some even bullet wounds.
"Hey boss, Yeah ya know yer guy..Tim? The delivery didn't come last night and we paid em a week ago and uh...yah, we aint too happy bout it..where's the fuckin good times eh?"
"Watch your tone.." As soon as 'The king' said that, Stevens voice cracked a bit, it was more than evident the boy on the other end of the line was terrified of him. "Tim may got a screw loose, but he'll pay up..he me too well not to, so don't go sending any of our guys over -without- my say so..got it?"
The boy on the other end quickly agreed, a bit scared to ask anything else about it besides.
"So..what we doin' then boss? The guys want the juice, not ta' mention we need some more fire power, the Supremacy gang aint exactly peachy with us right nao, ya know?" Marcus didn't care about the politics of each gang or how they felt about his own, he handled problems his way, that is after all how he managed to take over the city. There were still clean parts of it and that is where Tim lived, but only to keep people from going to his place and killing him. Marcus always had an eye on that part of town just in case someone fucked with him.
"Don't worry, it'll be handled.." He said, closing his phone. He was getting tired of his rambling on about it.

Now Marcus himself didn't take any drug, he didn't need to have his head in the clouds when there were countless people who wanted to kill him, unlike the growing group he had, his name was the only one ever really spoken. There were the Supremacy gang, a group of racist white assholes, then there were the Panthers, another racist gang just of the opposite color. Though they fit the more gangsta' style which Marcus himself didn't understand. There were also other gangs, The syndicate which was mostly of asian decent, though they invited anyone. They were the 3 large ones, Then there were slightly weaker gangs, just as the Nitro's and the Spinners. Though his gang wasn't of that specific racial stereotype. Instead his wasn't formed with force, they came together, flocking toward the wayward King of Lithelm after hearing about a certain incident. As more came to him, his group started becoming a name all it's own, the Bleed Out's.
Though dwelling on that isn't something Marcus considered, so instead he stepped into the shower, letting the water trickle down his form, cleaning himself up. Getting out he brushed his teeth as usual and headed back to his room, drying off on the way before he got dressed. He took out a red shirt that hugged his torso, showing off the outline of his figure, slipping on a pair of black jeans, and his black shoes, stepping out of his room, heading to his fathers room to wake him up for work, though it was always a chore, Marcus had taken it upon himself to drag his undoubtedly hungover father by the leg, pulling him out of bed.
"Get up dad, you gotta go to work..don't make me come home and find you here alright?" He said, sighing. His relationship with Will, his father was on thin ice, it was as if his dad wasn't even really there anymore.
"I have to head out, get up would ya?" He said, moving toward the door to leave. "I'm gonna call the factory to check up on you as always, got me? Get moving old man."
Marcus's dad slurred something that he couldn't quite make out, but shrugged it off, slipping on his shoes before heading out, he normally made breakfast for himself and even his dad, but he knew his gang would be on edge, and that caused conflicts. Didn't matter if they respected or feared him, shit happens right?

Moving to the garage, he walked in, staring at his Streetfighter motorcycle, it was dark silver and a bit beat up, though that couldn't really be distinguished in the dim light of the garage, that and Marcus took care of it more then he did most anything else.
Pulling out of the garage, he slipped the key into the bike, starting it up, smirking when the engine roared to life for him, That's when he took off toward the city known as Lithelm Heights. It was -his- city after all. It didn't take him long to close the distance, nor did it take him long to enter the bad parts of the city, some area's were truly bad, graffiti covered the walls, and the police cars were thrown over on their side, never picked up after the uprising, which is what the gangs called it, That was when Marcus pushed any authority out of the city, they avoided this place like the plague now. That is how he got his name after all.
With a sigh, he finally got to the cleaner side of the city, one that was still well kept despite the gang influence circling around them. He pulled up the place that Tim resided in, he never asked whether or not this was his actual home, nor did he care. This was just a building Tim was in. Taking out his key, he headed up to the door, knocking.
"C'mon ya old bastard, I know you're up." He said more so to himself then the door.

"Can you stop drawing in that damn note pad and get the door?!" My uncle snapped. I rolled my eyes. Why he was being such an asshole I had no clue, He'd been fine yesterday. I rolled my eyes and got up, the heels of my cowboy boots clicking against the hard wood as I walked to the door. I opened it. I had no clue who this guy was. "Who is it?!" My uncle snapped.

"Keep snapping and your going to wake up with a damn tattoo going across your face. I don't give a damn if my parents sent me up here or not! Your not going to keep up with the shit!" I was getting tired of being yelled at by him. "Your here for my ass of an uncle, aren't you?" I asked, my bangs easily falling into my face since I had my hair down.

I sighed softly hearing my uncle drop a pan on the ground, he cursed and then something hit the wall, shattering. I was not picking that up. "Well I'm sure you know where he is. Just duct. He's been throwing things since he woke up." I added and stepped out of the way to let him in.

"Keep threatening me like that and we'll see what happens to you after that." He warned. I walked over to the kitchen as he threw something else at the next to where I was now standing. The kitchen was covered in shattered glass. I raised an eye brow before I shrugged and went back, grabbing my notebook and heading up the stairs to set it in my room.

With a sigh passing his lips, Marcus rubbed his eyes. He had normally gotten up this early before but last night's events only made him more tired, one of his gang had done something he didn't approve of and he had to deal with that and him, which took up most of his time..not to mention his two normal girls at the gangs hideout were clawing at him most of the night, He didn't let them get too far though. There were just too much to do sometimes.
"About damn time Ti-" Moving his dark eyes over the young woman in front of him, he coughed. Had he gotten the wrong address? There was no way, he'd been here countless times. Hell the mark on the side of the place was even done by him. So..who was this girl who clearly seemed out of place, especially with those boots on her.

Hearing the two of them yell at each other was a bit out of place, Tim was a bit odd it was true, but he -never- raised his voice to Marcus, hell if anything his voice was a bit too faint of heart. With a nod to her question, his bangs also fell over his eyes, moving it to the side, he smiled at her.
"Yep, but I don't mind seeing you either chick..I'm Marcus." The 'delinquent' said, looking her over. She was a knock out in looks, though he didn't say that. It wasn't his style to openly flirt with girls, and that's probably why they often got on their knee's for him. Or it could be his reputation, one or the other..probably both in reality though.
"Everything alright?" He asked, looking inside hearing the crashing sound himself.

When she moved to let him in, Marcus followed her, taking note of the tattoo on her lower back, biting his tongue to keep himself from saying something. Who ever she was, she didn't belong in Lithelm, though the tattoo isn't what gave that away, it was the boots, Marcus wasn't even aware anyone really sported those still.
"That's not cool." He said, hearing more glass breaking, Marcus was slightly amused at the actual behavior of the man he had come to know, that his father knew. How could he have fallen so far to begin with, or was he always like this? Marcus had questioned that before but never cared to ask, as long as he provided what was paid for, the King of Lithelm didn't care. Though that is why he was here, he couldn't help but check out the girl in front of him whilest doing so.

"What's gonna happen to her Tim?" Marcus said, waiting for her to leave before going into detail, smiling at the man with a bit of a deviant look to him.
"The same thing that is going to happen to you if you don't explain yourself as to why my delivery is late?" Despite being a teenager still and Tim being a full grown man, Marcus didn't seem to care about respect either, what did he care about if mostly everything didn't phase him? Who was the one able to carry out what needed to be done.
"Or have you been unable to take a hit since she shown up? Is that why you're breaking shit?" He asked before rolling his eyes at his enviroment. Withdraw was a bitch, Marcus knew because he saw it in the guys who followed him often when shipments weren't done properly, that is after all why he was there.
"Where is it Tim, if you don't tell me, I'm gonna have to drag your ass out of here and find it myself..I don't pay for something I don't get." He said, looking up the stairs the girl went, though it was brief.

"Who's the girl?" Marcus asked, he had to bring it up..I mean she was answering his door and not only that she was stunning, and the tattoo was enough to get any guys attention.
"Well, whoever she is? If I see her with a mark on her, I'm taking it outta yer ass..got it? This is -my- city, if someone is going to get hurt because of someone else's stupid ass problems, I'm the one who deals with it..got me?"

“That’s my niece. Her parents sent her here because they are both having trouble and they just…the bruises she has on her now are from her ex that she’d been dating in Nevada. That’s another reason she’s her. They were afraid she was going to disappear and they’d find her body days later. She’d got a scar from where he stabbed her between her ribs on her right side. And no…I haven’t smoked since she’s been here. I haven’t had time to pack any of it. It’s in the shed.” Tim said, hearing my come back down the stairs. “As far as she knows you do yard work for me. I know it’s degrading. But it’s better than her thinking something illegal is going on. I don’t want her going back to Nevada to go through hell again. Her parents only sent her here because the courts forced them to. And what do you mean whats going to happen to her?” He added.

I knew what he was talking about when he stopped speaking when I was at the bottom of the stairs. I bit my lip slightly and walked into the kitchen. “Don’t worry, I’ll clean it up. You still have to finish unpacking. Marcus this is Ashlee or Ash for short. Ash, this is Marcus.” My uncle said and sighed. I knew he wasn’t happy I was here. I rubbed my arm slightly, a bruise was fading. I’d gotten it just before I left Nevada. And I had more. My shirt and shorts just hid them. He’d always hit me where he knew the bruises would be hidden from everyone.

I smiled slightly. “It’s nice to meet you.” I said softly and looked down and then back up. I knew my uncles eyes were on me. He was for some reason always outside for long periods of time, locking himself in the shed. I had no clue what. But he told me if I were to go near the shed I would be in trouble. What kind I had no clue but after seeing him throw plates everywhere I didn’t want to find out. So I mostly stayed on the front porch.

"Your niece? Who in the hell would send a girl her age to this city willingly? Someone is playing a fucked up joke, you know what goes on here, why didn't'cha say something against it? You also know that she could interrupt our operation, which is something I can't afford." Marcus said in a rather demanding tone, staring at the man whom was paid to supply his drugs and firepower, he had a constant war going on due to the problems within this city, someone always wanted to hit the King of Lithelm, to become the top player in this town. Only problem was, whomever fucked with him usually ended up beaten within an inch of his life.

"Get it done by tomorrow or I'll be back, understand? I can't fall behind when the Supremacy dumbasses are wanting blood shed, The guys are rattled enough." He said, looking back at the door, then he heard that he was doing his yard work which actually made him laugh.
"Hahaha...Oh god, You'd love that though wouldn't ya, to see me doing that lousy job for chump change." The smirk on his lips was wide, thinking about it himself. It was degrading, but had to be said, it's best she has no clue who he is or else someone may just track her down and hurt her.
"What I mean is, don't threaten her..got me? Girl like that needs to be taken care of not abused." He said plainly, looking at the beautiful girl who came back down, smiling at her. Nodding his head, he waved.
"Hey Ash, nice to meet ya too." He said, looking at her more, she was new..maybe it'd be best to bring her along to the party he was throwing tonight. He always did so when a fight was coming to get his gang relaxed. Unlike most gangs, his was the largest and he knew how to win a fight and treat his group right.

Looking over at Tim, The 'king' just smiled more so, nodding at his niece.
"Hey Ash..wanna come to a party with me tonight? Me and some people are throwing a bash and since you're new here you should have a bit of fun." He said, keeping his dark brown eyes trained on hers. His smile was friendly though.
"After all, I doubt there'd be half as good looking girl there as you, you could probably have a lot of fun." He said. "That and I'd drive of course."

I looked at him, smiling. My uncle jumped in though before I could answer. “I’m not sure that is such a good idea, Ash. I mean with every-“ I cut him off there. I glared at him.

“Just because of what happened in Nevada doesn’t mean you need to baby me.” I muttered. “Just because my father has no control over his drinking or his drug using, my mother with depression, them sending me here to live with you, you don’t have to worry. As soon as I turn eighteen in two months, I’m going back.” I added. My uncle was shocked. He looked at me slightly surprised. I raised my eyebrow, knowing he’d come back with something sooner or later. I sighed softly and ran my hand through my hair. “I know perfectly well you don’t want me here, that you don’t like me, you made that perfectly clear when I had to walk here from where the bus dropped me off on the outside of town. And you also made that clearly Friday when I come here and you’re going through my stuff like you don’t trust me.” I shot at him.

After that, I’d ‘lost’ $100. “Ever since you got that damn tattoo you’ve been acting like this. This is why your parents sent you here and not to your aunts!” He snapped. I starred at him, completely shocked he didn’t know his sister was dead.

I took a deep breath, biting my lip. I loved my aunt, I missed her. “She’s dead. She’s your sister and she’s been dead over a month! I was going to go there, but she had cancer. Remember that?” I asked, my voice was cold, but held pain from him not him not remembering his own sister was dead. “How can you forget your own sister was dead? And remember the promise to my mother to call and check in on her to see how she was doing? And how you were going to pick me up? You know perfectly well I have no car at the moment. I just got my tattooing license.” I pointed out. Now my uncle was just shocked. I wasn’t only doing it to piss him off. I was done with it. “So yes, I would like to go.” I said softly and looked at Marcus.

Staring at Tim with a sort've look that held disdain, Marcus ignored the whole rant up until Tim spoke out against her, saying how her parents set her away because of how she was acting.
"Whoa..Don't cross the line Tim." Marcus retorted, glaring at him. It seemed the delinquent in the room was a bit protective over this matter. Why wouldn't he be though? He doesn't really have a family loving life at home either so he didn't take too kindly to those whom would be this way toward someone who didn't deserve it.
"Also I like her tattoo, maybe if you fucks would stop trying to put her in a little box you wouldn't have so many issues." He said, laughing at how Tim was caught going through her things.
"That's a little fucked up there bud...not to mention slightly perverted..who does that?"

Blinking when Tim seemed to be aloof toward the fact his own sibling had died, only made Marcus stare at him in a new light, was Tim doing a bit too much of the drugs he imported for him? Who just suddenly forgets that someone died? By now Marcus was actually close to beating the hell out of the man whom supplies him the 'goods'. This man was the same guy who served with Will, his father? Hah it was as if after everyone served in the corp, they turned for the worse. Though it didn't matter, long as he got what he came for in the end.

"Awesome, It's later tonight, I'll pick you up here okay?" He said, looking over at Tim, he didn't say a word but the look Marcus gave him pretty much spelled out 'If there's a single scratch on her, or a problem that I hear about, I'm gonna drag your ass out in the street and break every limb you have.' He clearly had taken a liking to this girl, someone new who didn't immediately know who he was? It was fair game, more so then any of the other girls that hung around him, They all were too easy and no fun, they had been since he met them.
"Here's my number." With that, he took out a pen, writing down his number, smiling at her. "Call me if there's any trouble okay? I can usually help out."

I smiled, “Sure. Thanks.” I said softly, taking his number. I was most likely just going to stay in my room the rest of the day, locking the door and turning up the music so I couldn’t hear my uncle and he couldn’t come storming in. My uncle didn’t look too happy, but it was on him.

“Marcus, I have something in the shed for you. And how in the world you’ve even seen that tattoo I have no clue. Remember that shovel I borrowed?” My uncle said. I rolled my eyes, of course, anything to get me away from a guy. He wasn’t a big fan of babies. And I was guessing he saw me dating someone or thinking about dating someone, he thought I would be like the rest of the girls my age and sleep with them and end up pregnant.

I wasn’t like that, I had to date someone a while, they had to treat me right before I even thought about having sex with them. I didn’t want to be like one of the girls who were known for sleeping with every guy they’ve dated within a week of dating them. “Why don’t you go upstairs.” My uncle said. His voice softened. I was guessing he was scared of Marcus. I was curious at why, but I didn’t ask. I would find out sooner or later.

I raised an eyebrow and looked at him. Was he really trying to tell me where to go? What to do? “I’m going because I need to finish my tattoo sketches.” I said softly and turned around, my boots tapping the hard wood as I walked up the stairs and down the hall into my room, shutting and locking the door and turning the radio on and blaring it. I smiled slightly as Country Girl Shake It For Me came on. People here probably thought I was weird. But I listened to rock as well. I just didn’t listen to rap.

With a nod, Marcus headed to the door, winking at Ash when he left. "See ya later then, looking forward to it." With that, he headed out, waiting for Tim to show up. It was obvious it wasn't ready to ship out, but this party will get Ash out of the way for him to get the weaponry and drugs, when Tim finally shown up, Marcus tilted his head at him. He understood enough now to see that he was being burdened but that was still no way to treat your family, that's why his own home was -out- of the city, if anything happened to his dad, even if their relationship was on thin ice, he'd find the one responsible and make them regret being born.

"Should be more careful Tim, treating people like that causes a helluva lotta issue's..Especially when they're my age." He said, as if hinting that he may over react to something, when he opened the shed door, he walked in, smirking at the unpacked but well kept inventory.
"My guys should be pleased..get it packed up before tonight, during the party I'll send the gang over with their truck. That way Ash isn't in the middle of this, we'll take it and hide it..and don't worry, she's safer with me then anyone else in this city, no one will touch her as long as I'm with her." He said, sighing. Though it was pretty obvious that's not what bothered Tim, or was it?.. The King of Lithelm couldn't tell. With that said, he pulled out his phone, heading out the door, calling his gang up.
"Steve, Get ready to roll out later alright? We got the stuff, just gotta pick it up." The other end roared with excitement and a bit too much joy.
"Ya always handle it boss! Always! Ya fuckin' great man!' Marcus rolled his eyes, heading to his bike, sitting on it, watching Tim as he moved, walking out with the shovel. It wasn't his style to carry a shovel but eh, it did manage to fit the story Tim gave.

"We'll be here later, like I said..don't be late." The whole reason his gang had a name was because of him, though his seemed to be almost twice as large as any other, Marcus always managed to do what he set his mind to, what everyone told him couldn't be done.
"And Tim? Go easy on her, seriously you are gonna fuck everything up being brash, Don't care if it means you gotta cut back on sampling your inventory, I don't even fuckin' care if it means you need to take lessons from Martha muthafuckin' steward herself, get in line or be kicked -off- the line.." With that, he spun the shovel, putting it in the frame of his bike so it didn't get in the way, starting her up. The stories of him and that bike were also something of legend in the city.

“That’s easy for you to say. You know nothing about half the time she wakes up in the middle of the night. She’s been through hell already. Don’t you think you hanging out with her would only make it worse if the other gangs find out? I mean, wouldn’t that put her in danger? And then I’d surely hear about it.” My uncle said, than looked at the house as I turned up the radio as Hero of War came on. I couldn’t help but love the song, though the video wasn’t all that good. “Some of the times I’m worried she’ll be gone. She has no reason for staying here. She thinks no one cares about her, I mean…well I’m sure you know what she feels like, but your parents haven’t sent you away like hers have. And she hasn’t seen me since she was about eight years old.” He added, though I wasn’t going back to Nevada.

I was terrified of the fact that my ex who had stabbed me was going to keep his promise and come after me if I went back to Nevada and finish off what he wanted to do when he’d stabbed me. He wanted me to know what he could do to me if he wanted to. I was terrified of him, I didn’t know why…but I had nightmares of him, remembering the stabbing then being the one to call the police says I was attacked and he found me. He had threatened my, says if I didn’t agree with his story to tell the police that the next time it’d be much worse. I shuddered at the thought. My uncle shook his head. “Then her ex has been calling and threatening her, the police say they can’t do anything since she is no longer in Nevada. It’s torn her up. I’m pretty sure she won’t trust any guy ever again. Just promise tonight not to let her out of your sight, keep her close to you, trouble has a way to find her. And she fully believes that Alex is coming for her all the way from Nevada.” He said and then sighed.

I stopped and looked at my phone as it lit up. An unknown number was calling. I shrugged and turned off the music and answered the phone. I froze as Alex spoke through the other line. Claiming he was on his way here, that he got my parents talking, that they willingly told him where I was because he said that we were still dating. I was speechless while he spoke. He warned me that there was some much needed business that we needed to finish. He also claimed that he would be here in a few days. I swallowed hard, starting to shake. I could hear the smile in his voice. He seemed to know how scared I was of him. Then he described what he would do to me…what he had done to me. My uncle stopped and looked back to the house once again as the music stopped. “Maybe that party isn’t such a good idea if the music stopped for the reason I think it did.” He said and looked at the ground, knowing fully well that it was who he thought it was. “He just won’t leave her alone. She’s terrified of him, but he doesn’t scare so easily” He added in a grim voice.
