His heavy breathing was the only thing that could be heard throughout the woods, though the snapping of twigs could be heard in between his breathing. His eyes scanned left and right, looking for a way to get out of these woods much easier. He turned his gaze behind him to see if he was followed, which he wasn't at the time but he knew that he was going to be hunted sooner, rather than later. He continued to run as his clothing was now torn in almost shreds. The branches from the trees were cutting him up, along with his clothing. He let out a sigh of relief when he had reached the main street but just started jogging, not wanting to make everything seem obvious. He got to the end of the street but took a turn and went into an alleyway, sitting down on the ground as he ran his hands over his brown locks. He let out a small yelp when a male appeared out of nowhere and stabbed him in the heart then vanished without an absolute trace.
Cole gasped as he sat up in his bed, his alarm clock blaring off as he turned to shut it off. It was all a dream. He was terrified for what was to come now. It has been almost a month since he escaped. His mind was bothering him all the time, playing tricks on him, making him think that he was actually dead. He had beads of sweat running down his face. His pillow was soaked with sweat. He got up from his bed, walking into his bathroom as he rummaged through the closet in there, grabbing a small towel and wiping his face clean of the sweat. He hasn't slept in almost a week, feeling that something is coming and it's getting closer than ever. He didn't really know what it was going to be but he was prepared. He went back into his bedroom and got on his knees and looked under his bed, reaching his arm out and grabbing a hold of his Katana, which he carried around his house, just in case.
He walked down stairs, he was wearing nothing but jogging pants as he waltzed in to the kitchen, getting himself some breakfast started.
His doors and windows were locked, or so he hoped. He checked them one more time before going back into the kitchen.
