    AOTM #18: Guidelines



    Theme: Stock Manipulation!
    Defined: Create a Photo manipulation with the provided stock images!
    Due Date: 26th October - 12:00 am Eastern
    Theme suggested by: Kally and Lustre
    Contest run by: Chibisuke Chan , Contra Fates, Lustre and Kally
    Components:
    Advanced: Use at least three of the stock provided.
    Casual: Use at least two of the stock provided.

    You are allowed to incorporate your own stock, but you must use the minimum amount required for your difficulty. It must also be obvious how you've used them. Remember to include them in the PM as well please



    Rules of the Month For Casual:

    • Minimum Stock Images to be Used: 2 Required.
    • The provided Stock images used MUST be obvious in the image.
    • Other Stock images not listed are allowed.
    • Transparency: Allowed.
    • Animation: Allowed.
    • Size: No Larger Than 650 x 650.
    • Medium: Graphics
    • Title Of PM: AOTM #18: Casual
    • You must include the Theme in the PM.
    • Due Date: 18th October at 12:00 a.m. Eastern.
    • Upload Your Piece To:tinypic OR imgur
    • You may not post them anywhere such as DeviantArt or a personal website. That will be an immediate disqualification.
    • List the Components Used in the PM.
    • PM Entries To: AOTM
    • No Resubmits Allowed.

    General Guidelines:
    All participants or those interested in the contest must go to the provided link above and read over the guidelines. Users must adhere to the rules in order to participate in any of the RPG competitions. Please post any questions regarding this week's theme in this thread, or post to show general interest. If you have a question about the theme that make your entry no longer anonymous, please contact the AOTM account via PM.

    As another note, be SURE to upload your submission to tinypic or imgur, and use the direct link for layouts as your submission link. Photobucket, image shack, and deviantart are NOT acceptable, for they are not anonymous methods for your entry.

    There have been a few additions and changes to the 'Rules of the Month,' so be mindful of them - such as the division between Casual and Advanced. As another note, be aware that ALL Advanced entries MUST be submitted with the final piece, and a PSD / or links to the original stocks used for any graphics.

    The division between Casual and Advanced is a personal choice to help ensure beginner artists are not overlooked against more advanced designers. AOTM Advanced winners are not allowed to re-enter the Casual competition; however, AOTM Casual winners have the choice to remain in Casual, or move to Advanced.

    Artists, grab your camera, your sketchpad, your tablet, Photoshop, GIMP, or whatever tools you wish to use to complete your piece![/INDENT]

    I meant to change the banner, but I didn't notice it until it was done and I had to go x)
    I also added the components into the Rules for each Advanced/Casual bit, so now there's two, lol

    So, just to make sure I'm getting this straight: You are allowed to do just about everything for your entry, as long as it both contains the right amount of provided stock images and is within the size limits, right?

    Would y'all consider matte painting a form of photo manipulation acceptable for this contest?

    Neobullseye - yes. =) You can do absolutely whatever you want!

    Shon - It would have to have an element of photomanipulation, for example, photomanipulate something onto the girl and then put her in a matte-painted background.
