Faye thought that in poor taste. It was one thing to wait for the National Guard to deal with things, it was quite another to go to them with information about rival gang members or use them as weapons against your enemies. If you couldn't stand on your own, you simply shouldn't stand.
"You got Senator Morgenstern on your speed dial?" the Chinese girl questioned and then regretted ever opening her mouth. It usually wasn't a good thing to know too much. If she did, Tony might have to get rid of her someday- particularly if she had to do hard time.*
*Which in GTA seems to mean a day or two plus some cash
Things had been a bit too easy for the Forelli family, controlling a huge amount of one of the biggest cities in San Andreas. It was making Tony something he didn't want to become, something that happened whenever real power was under your fingertips. He was becoming foolish. He listened to Faye, now depending on her more then she knew. "No.. that Jew is dead. I went to his house, he has private planes. I thought he could get me to Washington, found him executed in his bed." Said Vadik, he looked over through Pelos window then yelled as a semi truck to the right of the intersection pulled up onto the sidewalk and drove straight into the navigator.
Tony stumbled out of the crushed vehicle. He looked at the opposite seat where Faye was moaning in pain, the semi trucks doors opened and a trucker jumped out with a shotgun in hand. Tony walked around the side of the navigator and sprayed his Uzi shooting the trucker in his hands and legs. He stepped in front of him and grabbed the shotgun as it fell to the ground and began beating the trucker with it. He turned to the door and opened it. Vadik was unconscious over the wheel. Pelo was dead, the passenger side took the most of the impact. He pulled Faye out and carried her into the only intact building on the street, a flower shop.
Faye moaned as she fully regained conciousness amidst the smell of roses, jasmine, lavendar, lilac and myriad others. Placing one hand on her head she noted that she had a vicious headache.
Slowly it came back to her, the sudden image of a giant truck's grill flashing through her memory and then the blinding sea of blinding lights like she was floating in the night sky amidst a thousand fireworks going off within moments of one another.
"Ugh," she grimaced again before she spoke, "there has got to be some easier way of dealing with this."
A Cadillac pulled up behind the navigator. Tony watched the tinted windows from the door. "Check Vadik!" He yelled to the Forelli that climbed out from the passenger side. Two more stepped out from the back of the Cadillac and stood outside the shop. Tony walked back into the room and put his Uzi on the counter.
"WHAT? YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO THE STREET? IS THAT WHAT IM HEARING?" He yelled at Faye in anger and turned back to the door as it flung open. Vadik came stumbling through it, he rubbed his bruised head. He sat beside Faye and looked at her bruised arms and legs, her bleeding face. "You alright?" He asked her.
"Shut up!" Tony barked. "My cousin is dead because of you. You dumb… drunk... piece of shit." He picked his Uzi up and turned to Vadik. He pulled the sub machine guns trigger. Bullets tore into Vadik’s chest and blood splattered onto Faye’s robe.
To say Faye was astonished would be an understatement. In truth she was simply horrified and oddly, rather angry. It was a waste, a horrible waste, perhaps not of talent but there was always strength in numbers and their numbers were already dwindling.
"Jesus bloody fucking Christ," Faye cursed as she put one scarlet fingernailed hand in front of her face to ward off sight of Vadik's mutilated body, "what the hell's wrong with you Tony? We've one less gun now. You could have at least sent him on a suicide run."
She was starting to think it might be a good idea to cut and run, scope out a new city and start all over. There was a very good chance they wouldn't survive this at this rate.
