Oh goodness, Lyvee, I read Brave New World last year and I couldn't get past the first few chapters. Dystopia books are not my thing.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Mark Twain
Anne of Green Gables - Lucy Maud Montgomery

    Alice Bliss - Laura Harrington
    Nineteen Minutes - Jodie Picoult
    Perfect Match - Jodie Picoult
Memoir of a Geisha - Arthur Golden
    Redeeming Love - Francine Rivers
    Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain
    Pollyanna - Eleanor H. Porter

The Tenth Circle - Jodie Picoult
Everything Beautiful Began After - Simon van Booy

Everything Beautiful Began After is my favorite book, of all time. A lot of my writing that isn't for roleplays is inspired by him. You know those books that have really good writing, but with absolutely no plot? Take A History of Love, by Nicole Krauss, that's a good example. Beautiful, beautiful style, but a bland story. And then there's Hunger Games, which has a plot, but the writing doesn't take your breath away. This book puts those two together! The plot isn't as thrilling as anything like Hunger Games, but there is one, and it actually develops. I recommend it to everyone.

Updated, partly because I realized I messed up the formatting, and because I finished one of the books tonight!

    Books
    Start date: 10/7/2012

    Enrique's Journey - Sonia Nazario
    One L - Scott Turow
    Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand
    Phantom - Jo Nesbo

One L is a book my dad gave it to me for my (early) birthday. The reading is easy and I'm able to relate to the events transpiring in the book. I just started this one about a week ago.

I finished part one of Atlas Shrugged quite awhile ago. I haven't touched it since but I have the desire to finish it, now.

I'm really dependent upon what books are given to me rather then choosing my next book. Sadly, I don't have another book so I'm going in blind with this one. Phantom seems interesting and had some good reviews so here is to trying.
