What books did everyone get over Christmas? I two Neil Gaiman's; Anansi Boys and American Gods and a puzzle book from my sister called How To Think Like Sherlock Holmes. Didn't get House of Silk but some deodrant and shower gel instead (I don't know why people keep buying me these, they know I don't use them ) Also at the rate books exchange hands in my family might soon be reading the some Pratchett's or the new Linwood Barclay books I got my mum. So what did everyone get?

American Gods and Anansi Boys are some of the best books I have ever read. American Gods is my favourite Gaiman novel.
(For me it was My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin, Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor, the Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (birthday), Serafina by Rachel Hartman (also birthday) and vouchers that today bought me A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty, the Diviners by Libba Bray, Scent of Magic by Maria V Snyder and I Made Lattes for a Love God by Wendy Harmer.)

I've read Neverwhere and Good Omens so they've got high standards to live up to. I'd say that's a lot of reading but looking at the number you've read it might last you five minutes, lol, I wish I could read fast I'm the fastest in my seminar groups and before that in my school but I can't concentrate on books for long periods which is I suppose a different issue more marathon than sprint.

Hope I'm not breaking any rules here. I tend to read books in bulk...

Three now, very good but very odd book American Gods. Jared Diamond described one of his books as a boa constrictor that had swallowed two sheep and that fits quite well to this I think, it's long and winding but it also has plenty of good solid chunks.

Four now. Didn't expect much from The Zombie Survival Guide but it's actually probably one of the scariest books I've read in awhile.
