Updated. BC: 24. Aaaaaannnddd done with the Dresden Files series... or at least for the next two or so weeks before Cold Days comes out. I enjoyed the series, gotta say that the last two books kind of pissed me off with how inconsistent they were with the rest of the series but that didn't stop me from enjoying them. I'd recommend the series to anyone looking for a good modern fantasy/horror adventure series. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a mystery series because there really isn't any mystery to any of the books of the series, all you really need to do to solve them is to read the first 3-4 chapters of the book and think of what would be the most cliche/predictable thing that could happen in a mystery book and you will probably be right, or at least I was (Except for Dead Beat, I admit I didn't expect any of the crazy ass shit that happened there... But I guess the mystery was really solved about 5 chapters in and the rest was just him trying to prevent it.). I found a lot of the heavy Christian beliefs expressed in the series to be a bit annoying but funny enough I would say my favorite villains to come up were Nicodemus and the Denarians (At least in the first book they showed up in, I felt that Nic was played a lot stupider in Small Favor than he should have been). I'd say may favorite book in the series was Death Masks and my least favorite would be Changes (although it did contain my favorite moment of the entire series: Chapter 33 ).
Well... Now I am back to not really knowing what to read. I might like to find another good modern fantasy series if any of you have suggestions. But since I don't have anything to read I might be inactive on here for a while (Although I am reading Pride and Prejudice and the Alice in Wonderland series for classes). Although I am not sure if Heyseuss is still following this. ARE YOU?
