Personality: Marvin is an "act first, think later" kind of guy. He's quick to anger and quick to forgive, as well. While he can't actually SEE through it, the SONAR and Sensor package he had installed help to minimize the disruption of his lock-on capabilities and therefore help him achieve victory.

Bio/Personality: From birth, Kenichi had everything a boy could want. His father was a high-level officer in the NYC Yakuza, and his mother was the proprietor of an illegal brothel. They were quite wealthy, as a family... but vowed to keep little Kenichi out of the crime lifestyle. Problem was... they were rarely home to watch over the boy, and he got involved in crime anyways. At the age of 16, his parents bought him his first car... 1994 Toyota MR2 Turbo. He had it picked out the day he first saw one... so they obliged him. That was all it took for the young man to involve himself in street racing and "courier services". In fact, he was quite successful in making his deliveries on time and avoiding the law. How, you ask? Simple. Unless absolutely necessary, he stuck to lesser-known roads and only broke speed limits once he was running late. Combine that with the fact that every car the young man has owned is not commonly a "racing" car... the law isn't looking for him as hard as other "couriers".

And now, he has a contact asking him to deliver yet another suspicious package... to nondescript location... in a rather short time. This would be outside his usual experience, given he would have to rush... but it was nothing he couldn't handle.

Personality: Kokoro seems distant almost constantly, no matter the situation. Sometimes she'll converse with herself about a situation, other times she will simply stare off into space. This is partially to feign ignorance... and partially due to the unique state of her mind.

History: Kokoro was a kind child, always helping her neighbors and family. It was actually for this reason that she asked her family to pay for her entry into the local Ninja Academy. She wanted to help everyone in her village... and the training there would allow her to do just that. Thankfully, her family had been saving money for her to get better schooling anyways, and allowed the young girl to enter the academy. They knew she would do well, for her drive to aid others was strong, indeed. And so it was that young Kokoro enrolled in the Academy, at the tender age of nine.

Two Years Later, Kokoro had graduated from the Academy. He grades were fairly average in most subjects. B in Taijutsu, C- in Genjutsu, C+ in Ninjutsu, C in Ninja Tools and a B- in Chakra Control. But regardless of her mediocrity, she had done it. She was now a Genin. And so was assigned to missions. ... However... it was not as wonderful as she had thought... for this was wartime... and she was but a bright-eyed and optimistic child. She had not yet seen the horrors of war... but she would.

Three Years After Graduation... The Jounin assigned to Kokoro's squad had drilled the children almost incessantly, and little Kokoro endured it all. Telling herself that the stronger she got, the more people she could help... was often all she had to keep her going. She often cried herself to sleep due to the difficulty of the training, and the pain it wracked her young body with... but she would endure. And endure she did... for her whole squad was nominated by their Jounin for promotion to Chunin. Kokoro was ecstatic, but had no real idea why they were being promoted. ... the village wasn't all for sending untrained "kids" into battle... and usually would only send shinobi of Chunin-Rank or higher. This would be her wake-up call to the harsh realities of the Shinobi life.

Four Years Later, Kokoro had somewhat hardened her heart to the tragedies of war. She had seen one of her squadmates die, she had seen new Chunin rise from the ranks... only to die. She had seen veteran Jounin sacrifice themselves to preserve their younger students. Through it all... she had endured. But what happened next... broke the girl's spirit and mind. Her new squad was sent on a recon mission in a swamp near the borderlands of their nation... and blundered right into a trap. Not set by the other villages... but by a group of rogue shinobi acting as mercenaries... unemployed mercenaries. They captured the three teens and initially held them for ransom. However... the village refused to pay the brigands... and Kokoro's squad was left to rot. She and her sister-in-arms were bound day and night... forced to endure the bandits' indecencies. The male shinobi of their group eventually sided with their captors, as well...

Time passed, and Kokoro stopped fighting back... having accepted that she was going to die in that place. Her friend did not give up... initially. But then she found herself carrying the child of one of the bandits... unsure even as to which one had fathered it, due to the frequent assaults. "Kokoro... don't let me do this alone... come with me. We won't hurt anymore..." said the girl as she lifted up the rusty knife the brigands allowed them to use to cut their food with. "Hikari... what are you..." Kokoro's words got caught in her throat as her long-time friend plunged the pointed blade into her own stomach. "You... d..." the girl winced in pain, then forced the blade sideways... severing arteries, damaging muscles and organs, and killing her unborn child. Kokoro didn't even scream... she was so horrified by the site that she couldn't do anything... she could hardly even breathe.

Hikari looked up at her, a weak smile on her face as the light faded from her eyes. "Kokoro... thank y... you... for st..." she could not complete her sentence... for the damage to her body was too great. On seeing the still-warm corpse of her friend... Kokoro finally managed to scream in terror. Naturally their captors came running... but once they saw the scene, they showed a blatant disgust for both the dead girl and Kokoro. All Kokoro could do was continue screaming and sobbing, until one of the men smashed a bottle against the back of her head, knocking her out cold. She awoke some time later, bound to a tree and stripped of her clothing... but with no bandits to be found. It seemed they had left her there, beaten and humiliated... to die. But she would endure...

Ten Years Later... Kokoro had not forgotten the terrible thing that had so shattered her life... but she was trying to move on. Her skills had not progressed very much in the past few years, her mind was a scattered mess, her skill with chakra control had actually diminished... and she had forgotten a number of jutsu altogether. She was now relegated to the non-combat role of an Academy Instructor. She at least had retained enough skill to teach students the basics of Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. And so it was... Kokoro had found a new role in life.

She still found time to work on her Jutsu, even developing a couple of new ones based on her unusual mental state... but the concepts of change in form and nature were fargone enough from her that no new ELEMENTAL jutsu were able to be developed. She did retain a few of the Lightning-Release techniques that she had before the trauma... but for the most part, she kept her focus now on Taijutsu and tring to regain her mind.

Present Day... Kokoro continues teaching at the academy, but has recently heard a strange voice speaking to every shard of her nearly destroyed mind. What was this new voice? Was it just a part of her that had been sleeping? Was it outside influence? What was it? Perhaps some day when she had the time, Kokoro would investigate...

Kokoro's mind was shattered at some point or another, causing her thoughts to be completely scattered and her mind itself nigh-impossible to manipulate. She was at one point nominated for Jounin status, but turned it down... and has not been nominated ever since the unknown tragedy that caused her significant mental trauma. She has since been unable to perform any Genjutsu whatsoever, but also is nearly impossible to affect with Genjutsu. She has also forgotten a few of her more potent jutsu as a result of her mind fracturing. It is unknown if she will ever be able to relearn them. While she does retain much of her conscious ability... her attention span and knowledge are still fairly broken. Should she ever fully regain her capacity, she will likely be nominated as a Jounin or for Anbu.

That being will be sensed and traveled to very quickly... and promised great power if only the let the "wandering soul" in. ... upon willingly giving their body to this soul, however...they lose their soul in the process as it is consumed by the invader. Their knowledge is absorbed as well. It is a terrifying technique that has been developed by Kotetsu... and no one alive currently know if she has used it before or not.

History: Kotetsu Yamanaka was always a bit of an enigma, even to those of her own clan. As a child, she graduated the academy at the mere age of 8, and had a pair of potent jutsu already in her arsenal at that point... a masterful adaptation of the basic substitution jutsu that she called the "Silent End Technique", and the Lightning-Style attack, "Thunderbolt Flash". Her immediate family thought this unusual, as no Yamanaka had demonstrated an affinity for lightning jutsu in a very long time. And so they set about to figure out how much potential their daughter actually had.

As it turned out... Kotetsu not only had an affinity for lightning... but water and wind as well. A child... with a legitimate Kekkei Tota! The Yamanaka Clan poured immense amounts of time and effort into the young girl, and their efforts paid off tenfold. At the age of 16, Kotetsu unveiled her "Wrath of the Heavens" jutsu in an area outside the village. Unfortunately... not even SHE knew the scale and power of her own jutsu. It killed two and wounded three more. ... though her clan fought desperately against the descision... Kotetsu was inevitably exiled from Konoha. She normally would have been put to death for killing non-shinobi... but the patriarch of the Yamanaka pulled JUST enough strings to grant her life in exile.

Now, ten years later... Kotetsu contemplates returning to her homeland. However, should she do so... she has no clue how they would react to her re-appearance. Would they be hostile? Would she be forced to fight? Would they welcome her? Could she finally go home? The answers were unknown... but should she return, she would find out very quickly.

Personality: Having lived for 41 years, Hotaka has seen a fair amount of things. He has seen people die... people be born... people grow up... and more people die. He saw his wife murdered, and then sat and did nothing to stop his two young sons from trying to gain revenge against her killers. Because of the circumstances that have led to his current position... Hotaka is quite a cold person. Should he show any compassion or attachment, it is likely to gain an advantage in some way. He can also be quite vulgar if provoked, but tries to keep his cool in most situations.

History: The events in Hotaka's younger years were dreadfully uneventful. Graduated at age 12, Promoted to Chunin at age 16, Jounin at age 21. Married at the age of 24, had two sons, and lived a generally pleasant life. What IS noteworthy is what occured in the twelfth year of Hotaka's marriage. A full report is on file with the Bounty Offices in each major nation.

In short, just before Hotaka returned from a mission... his wife received word of his imminent return. Happy to see their father again, their two sons ran out the door and toward the spot Hotaka always told them he would wait for them when he got back. However... this left their mother alone... and a group of unsavory-types capitalized on her lack of protection. Knowing she was not a shinobi, the three men and two women burst into the house and were immediately sent from a "break stuff and steal" mood... to a "kill the bitch and send a message" mood... as a seal tag placed on the ground just inside the door erupted in flames and immolated one of the thugs to death. These were calibrated to the life force of Hotaka and his family... so the man triggered it by simply walking over it.

The remaining four thugs stormed into the house and broke whatever was in their way before reaching Hotaka's wife in the kitchen. The woman had grabbed a knife to defend herself. Against four armed thugs however, it was of little use. She lashed out at one of the female criminals, and the blade bit deeply into her arm. One of the remaining men punched the knife-weilding woman square in the face, sending her tumbling backward and causing her to drop the knife. The fight was now over and the killing had begun. The thugs stabbed the woman in each of her hands, nailing her to a table. They then cut out her eyes... and then set her on fire. The screams she let out could be heard by many, and the village police force was on their way, as was Hotaka and his sons. Sadly... two of the attackers would escape, and the two who were captured would not speak the location of the others, only stating there WERE two others.

Three Years Later, Hotaka's sons had graduated the acadamy and were hell-bent on revenge for their mother. They went and interrogated the two convicted of killing her, and somehow managed to get what they wanted out of them... the location of the others. As it turned out, they had kept in contact through hidden missives and messages over the past three years. The two Genin immediately rushed off to confront the two criminals who had robbed them of their mother... only to be found dead two weeks later. Hotaka could have stopped them, but had grown very indifferent and apathetic since the death of his wife. Now he had lost his sons as well.

This would be the final blow, as it turned out... and something inside Hotaka's mind simply snapped. When he looked at the lifeless bodies of his children, he began to laugh. To the horror of the Chunin who had escorted him to the morgue, Hotaka made a single handsign... and enveloped the young man in the Infinite Darkness jutsu. Robbed of his sight, the boy was powerless to stop Hotaka from stabbing a blade into the base of his neck. Yet another life cut down before it's time... and the first outright murder committed by Hotaka.

Proceeding up the stairs and out the door, Hotaka murdered every civilian working the morgue that night... smiling maniacally, even as he took their lives. ... this man has been on the run for two years now... and has yet to be captured. Rumor has it that he's assembling a group of like-minded psychopaths and criminals... but as of yet, these rumors are unfounded and should be dismissed.

This was initially developed by Hotaka as a torture technique.

The void then grows slightly brighter as a river of magma slowly comes to light. A great wind blows and a howling can be heard in the victims minds. The howling escalates into a cacophany of wailing voices and black tendrils writhe from the darkness below. They grab hold of the targets, whose flesh decays and rots under the touch of the tendrils, but does not fall from their bones. This is a truly vile Genjutsu, as commented by the few who have escaped with minimal mental damage.
Weakness: Time needed to form Handseals is somewhat higher than most jutsu, user is winded after activation of this jutsu.

Personality: Komodo is a ruthless foe in the Corpse Carnival. Her bloodlust nearly insatiable. Outside of combat, she's actually fairly laid back. It is assumed she has a very deeply ingrained psychological problem that makes her behave differently under intense stress. She has been using medications given to her in an attempt to control her rages, and so far it seems to be working. However... she is still a force to be reckoned with.

History: Anna was born to a wealthy family of Vintners in the Napa Valley region of California. Her father was always off making deals for the company and her mother was busy running the business at home... leaving Anna in the care of the hired help. That suited Anna for her younger years. All of the butlers and nannies had children, so she had plenty of playmates and friends. But on occasion she would still lash out at them or break a toy out of spite. The workers figured it was because of the lack of a real parental figure.

In her teen years, the outbursts got worse. Physically attacking other teens, stealing, vandalism, underage drinking, sexual deviance, drug use... anything she COULD try, she DID try... much to the chagrin of her family. Finally enough was enough, and Anna's father had her fitted with a house arrest anklet. Literally stuck in her home, Anna found one final way to lash out. She would go to the wine cellar and break some of the barrels. As she broke the first barrel open, the Red Hole disaster hit Los Angeles. The radiation reached all cities within 500 miles. Her mother came down to check on the wine, only to find Anna standing over a barrel with a sledgehammer above her head. She began to scream at her daughter.

Anna took the verbal lecture... but kept getting angrier... and angrier... and angrier. Then... something snapped. She lunged at her own mother. Reflexively, the older woman backhanded Anna, knocking her to the ground where she cut her arm on a broken barrel piece. The blood swirled over her hands and formed wicked bladed claws. Before her mother could scream, Anna lept to her feet and tore her claws upward from the middle of her mother's ribcage, up through her collarbone. The woman lay dead.

Her mind filled with fury, Anna stormed through the manor in search of a new target. She found a young boy playing a video game. Poor kid didn't even know what hit him... Anna tore her blood claws through the base of his skull. The father of that child was just walking in the room when she killed the boy. The man screamed in anguish, only to have his cries silenced via a severed head. Suddenly... Anna's bloodlust subsided. She looked around in horror at what she had done. She had one option... escape.

She went to the Garage and stole her father's BMW M6 Convertable. It was fast and powerful, and Anna needed an escape vehicle. She drove off as quickly as possible, but was quickly reported to the police as other workers found her handywork. Soon, a whole unit of officers, plus a chopper... were chasing her down highway one. The stress was getting to her again... why wouldn't they leave her alone... she had to stop them... now. And suddenly the powerful german car slid to a halt.

In standard fashion, the officers drew their tasers and pistols and ordered Anna to the ground. She dropped to her knees. She had to lure them in. Two officers came forward to subdue her, and met grisley ends as their chest cavities were torn into. Immediately, three officers fired tasers, but the first two darts were deflected by a very thin, almost armor-like sheet of blood... one officer shot Anna twice with a 9mm pistol. She wouldn't awaken for three days.

Strapped down in a hospital bed, she stood trial via video conference. She was sentenced to death, and her sentence would be served in a maximum security wing, solitary confinement only. Terrible for one so young. But about four years later, still on Death Row, she was transferred to the new "Deadman Wonderland Prison/Amusement Park facility...

Branch of Sin Name: Dragonskin
Branch of Sin Description: Komodo can cover her body in a very thin sheen of blood, forming almost like an armored skin. It is thin enough to see through, and only requires a few ounces of blood to form the armor over her entire body. It is far from impenetrable, but does allow for her to extend her durability against ranged combat type Branches of Sin. A secondary benefit from having a sheen of blood armor covering her body is that Anna can use an amount of extra blood to coat her hands and form sharpened talons over her fingers. If desperate... she can force the whole amount of blood that forms the armor to go to her hands, and form truly wicked weapons... but at a total penalty to her defense.

Description: Komodo draws all the blood used for her armor away from her body and funnels it into her serrated blood claws, which then elongate and extend outward in a manner reminiscent of a shotgun-spread. Capable of piercing armor and causing great damage, but leaves Komodo fairly defenseless for a short time. Once she returns the blood to her armor, however... she regains a semblance of defence.
