Rogal smiled, letting Pent see and properly meet Melody. "Curiosity transcends sleep. I was the same way when I was little."

Amelia rolled her eyes. "Great. I can barely handle you, and now she'll be like that too. I don't know how I'll manage." She was kidding of course, and she knelt in front of her family on the floor, taking one of Melody's little hands and one of Pent's with a smile on her face. "You all are perfect." she said kindly and lovingly. Even if they did just take in Pent, he was family now. Her son. She'd have to not be awkward around him now, much like Luna when Rogal first brought her to the castle.

Pent managed a smile, but then asked innocently, "Why are you two so nice to me...?"

"Because you're a good boy, Pent, and you deserve it." Rogal hugged him in close.

Amelia's heart almost stopped for a second with the cuteness. "Oh, Pent..." She hugged everyone tightly.

That night, they brought in a small bed for Pent to sleep on, and after he and Melody were happily sleeping, Amelia curled up beside Rogal in their own bed. "So, eventful day." she whispered, trying not to awaken the children.

"You're telling me," Rogal spoke softly, drawing Amelia closer. "I love you. Have I told you lately how amazing you are?" He had lately developed something of a flirtatious nature sometimes when they were alone together in peace.

Amelia smiled a little. "You told me that last night, but you're always welcome to say it more." she said wickedly. Her tone returned to one of a more gentle concern. "Do you think he'll be happy with us? Even when we go back to Hannibal? I mean, royal life is a whole different world compared to this. Do you think he'd like it there?" she asked him.

"He might be a little uncomfortable for a while, having servants and people calling him by titles and such... But he'll get used to it, though he'll probably keep to the tribal ways and be self-reliant instead of a lazy and helpless prince like most countries have. He'll make a fine prince, though of course, the royal council won't call him a prince, only a lord." Rogal sighed. The royal council was the reason Hesca and Iresea were never accepted, and eventually had to be sent away for safety. Old men and their old ways.

Amelia sighed right along with him. "I may have to do a thing or two about them. They made the ruling age older for lone queens rather than kings. Lenny would only have to be eighteen. You're far older than them and even you seem to think that's completely mad. It seems like they just seem to hate everyone." she groaned. At least her father got them to let her rule at all by herself.

"Old men hate youth, love. They want to be in control like they were when they were younger, and don't care how they do it. The best thing is to dismiss them before they reach that point. By the time we get back, they'll all have been either gotten rid of or driven out anyhow."

"I would have been a bit nicer about it... I would have at least let them retire to the tundra or something." she scoffed, making a face. "But then again I suppose there isn't much I can do about that now though." Amelia sighed almost sadly, nestling more into his arms. "The people will love them both though. They're good children."
