Disappearing Reply Boxes
I personally haven't been having this problem, but a friend of mine contacted me off-site saying that reply boxes are disappearing when she tries to reply to threads. Pops up for a second then vanishes and she can't post. Don't have all the little details of it, having not experienced this firsthand, but I said I'd post a thread for her on account of her dilemma, and then link it to her so she could watch for replies.
I thought it maybe had something to do with her internet not loading the page all the way- but she insists it was the site being buggy, so I'm posting this here to see if anyone knows what's going on.
It would help to have more info...

:/ I'm not her- and she can't post. Also she's been internet-deprived most of her life and this is the first time she's used a forum, so she's not good at describing things, nor does she know a spec of the technical stuff.
All she said was that the reply box just vanishes on her. She can see the rest of the page but not the reply box.
Have her clear her Cache, if that does not work... what type of computer is she running on, and browser

I doubt it is her computer or browser, but it might be a display issue with a certain setup and our current design... possibly.. but let me know what clearing the cache does. Hopefully that will fix it.

Since this unfortunately tends to be the fix for a lot of issues, make sure she isn't using IE as her browser.

I Fixed it? Well, I don't know how but I fixed it!!!! Thank You for the support on my issue, I still don't know what caused the problem; however, I went into my computer and found all sorts of files that I wasn't even using. I have a feeling that they were slowing my computer down just enough to effect this site the way it did. Thank you!!!

Kinda asking here as it's sorta related but...can the quick reply box not be so massive? It covers most my screen so cutting it down half or a third with the option to expend when needed would be great. The sudden block of white is kind of an assault on the eyes. And if we need more room, going to the full page to make a reply usually works out better. So just a question.

Covers most of the page? Um, are you on a mobile device? :/ Because from here the quick reply box is... fairly decently sized. Not much bigger than the old one. I can tell it got wider since the forum upgrade but that's about it- still the same or very close to the same height.
